Story
Zack was rescued from a rooftop in Guadalajara, Mexico along with one of his siblings. They were starving and neglected. Fortunately, our sister organization was able to secure them and take them to the vet where they completed their health protocols and neutering. Zack is energetic, playful and a leader. He likes to be around other dogs, but on his own terms. He is friendly with people and children that respect his boundaries. He will thrive in an active home where he can spend time outdoors, sniffing and exploring. He is not a pup to be left alone hours on end, but rather a companion and a family dog.

Story
Knows the commands, sit,lay down, spin, speak,Hakuna Matata (roll over), left, right (shake),bon appetit (release command to eat),wait, heal, come, inside (to go into his crate),find it where's your ball, drop it. I'm sure there more but those are the basics. The cons: He has separation anxiety. Not tear your house or furniture up but he'll bark for quite a while when you leave. He is crate trained though. And he's not very good in the car he'll bark the entire time, he doesn't run around in the car or anything like that he just barks and yips. I think it's because he's just too excited to ride. Other than that he's a great dog, very smart and eager to learn new things.

Story
Meet Mollie! 🐶💕She was rescued from a Mass Dog Slaughterhouse with other 101 friends at the end of July. Mollie may need help to learn how to behave in a home environment. At first, Mollie did not know how to eat treats. She now even chews a lubber mat in the bottom of her cage. 😊 She always lays her head on the top of her feeding bowl and patiently waits for her kibble. Do you know how cute Mollie is when she peeks out from her cage to see the outside world? It is her signature pose! 🐶❣️ Even though Mollie is energetic, she was so scared when she first stepped out from her cage. She even had to be carried from her first walk since she was frozen during her walk. But now? She eagerly waits for her walking time with a volunteer and explores the nature. If she senses that the volunteer is exhausted, she takes a break from walking and waits for the volunteer to be re-energized. How sweet our Mollie is! 🐕 With a black magic cape she is wearing, Mollie would steal your heart right away. She is ready for any and all adventures ahead of her. Can you be the lucky one who can continue a life journey with this precious girl?🙏

Story
Gemma is a very sweet and loving dog, she's still young (1.5 years) and needs some training, she was okay when we first got her but she developed separation anxiety. She does not do well in the kennel and needs someone to be home during the day. We did a trial run with one family who had cats and a 10 year old daughter, she wasn't aggressive towards the cats but will do best in a home without them because she's not cat respectful also when the 10 year olds friends would come over Gemma would bark at them. They didn't keep her in the kennel while they were gone and had no issues. They were very sad to decide to not keep her but it wasn't a right fit. If you have any questions let me know!

Story
NAME: Jenny Slate AGE/GENDER: Baby (born 6/2/2022), Female BREED: Beagle mix TEMPERAMENT: Shy, nervous, affectionate WEIGHT: 20 pounds HOUSE TRAINING: Good. CRATE TRAINING: Good. She sleeps and eats in a crate. OTHER DOGS: She loves other dogs, especially her size, although she is used to all ages and sizes. CATS: Fixates a little on cats, so probably best without. CHILDREN: No children. She was previously mistreated by children and is fearful of them. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00  HEALTH: Jenny Slate is healthy! Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.  HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Jenny Slate is a sweet girl who will need someone who can build her trust and help her heal from her early days where she was mistreated. She is terrified to be on a leash. And will not go through a doorway if a person is standing by the door. She's shown what a loving little girl she is in her new foster home, but will need continued work and love.   She loves other dogs and to help her trust the people in the home, she will need another dog in the home to help her show her the way. Once she trusts you, she is quite affectionate. She loves pets and will give you kisses. She is not sure yet about being held and walks on a leash are still being worked on. It will be some time before she is able to go for walks. She is more of a homebody and quite happy to run and play in the yard with her dog friends. The  yard must be secure as she will need supervision as she does like to dig.   Jenny is a puppy so she's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! She is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. Her forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that she grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. She will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs.   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.   Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!   For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org.   Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!   Woof,   The Motley Zoo CrewSeptember 20, 2023, 10:00 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Jester is one adorable boy!  He's black & white with a brown patch on each rear leg.  He's kind of a mystery mix but completely adorable regardless!  We are told he's very shy with men so likely hasn't had much exposure to them.  So if there is a man in the home, it may take him a while to warm up to them.   He's lovable, playful, crate trained, food motivated.   He transferred to us from another rescue due to a personal thing she had to tend to.  He'd been there a long time and we're not sure why?  He's darling and a good dog! Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 22, 2023, 3:04 pm
