PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. 9-month-old male Beagle/Chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds. Liberty and Honor were born at the rescue on 5/22/25 to momma Daisy, who was pulled from the Fresno shelter pregnant. Honor is timid at first but quickly becomes your best buddy. He like to be where the people are and will get anxious and vocal when alone. He is good with other dogs but would do fine being an only dog. He is a cuddle bug with adults but has been afraid of children. Not sure how he does with cats. He needs all the things puppies need; potty training, leash walking and further socialization! To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.

Story
Rose and Remi are sisters. Our house has grown and we no longer have space or time to properly care for them as they are active dogs who need lots of space. They’re usually good with other animals but recently have started competing for attention with one another which can turn into fighting. They need to be adopted separately or by some one who has lots of room for them both and is experienced in dog training. They’re both crate trained, they’re both updated on their shots and only Remi is spayed, Rosa is not. They love car rides and walks, their loving animals. They love snacks and running outside. They need someone experienced with dogs and who is patient. We would prefer someone wanting to adopt them who do not already have pets as these dogs require lots of attention and affection. Their beautiful and loving and deserve a furever home.

Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky is a darling 4-5 month pup. He was rescued from euthanasia in an overcrowded shelter. He is so sweet and doing very well in his foster home.  We're not sure what his breed mix is but he looks Beagle-ish with a hint of Chihuahua. His DNA probably has a mix of many breeds. He is going to be medium sized as an adult - around 20-25 lbs.  Rocky is a friendly boy, playful and fun. He gets along great with other dogs but we have not seen him with cats. He would love a playmate and a yard and he will make a wonderful family member.  Rocky is still very young and will need training and socialization to grow up to be a good canine citizen. He can't be alone for long periods of time yet.  Rocky is vaccinated and dewormed. He will be microchipped shortly. He will be neutered between 8-12 months of age at our cost. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. LILIANA is a 6yo Beagle mix female. She weighs 30#s. Liliana is a very sweet and sensitive dog. She likes to lay in the bed with me and snuggle up next to me or sometimes sleep at the foot-rest of my bed. She adopted me immediately and enjoys to be with me. She loves playing with all my dogs from small to big dogs. Liliana thinks she is a “lap” dog. I call her a “couch potato.” She is crate trained; leash trained (very easy); house trained; and loves to go riding in a car or going for a walk. She definitely a human-pleasing dog. She doesn’t have any prey driven instincts when she sees squirrels or cats on the walks. Liliana also has a very sweet attitude towards people in general. As much as we have not had her around children, she is very nice to all ages. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Animal Information: Veronica is an 8-month-old 23 lb now spayed female scruffy mixed breed who was confiscated at just 6-weeks-old from a property with over forty dogs and held for investigation at County of Hawaii Animal Control. She was well socialized by staff at Animal Control and is social and friendly with people and dogs. Upon release she was immediately at risk due to space. Given her bubbly personality and adoptability, she was pulled to foster 5/29 and tagged for Dog Gone Seattle. She is excellent with other dogs and should have a canine companion in her foster home to ease transition. We will share more information as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Profile: Meet Veronica! This adorable Beagle-Terrier mix is a total crowd-pleaser. She is incredibly friendly, loves making new human friends, and is great with both older kids and other dogs! On top of her winning personality, Veronica is already fully house-broken and crate trained. Veronica is a massive ball-enthusiast who is always ready for a game of fetch. While her hound nose means she is still working on her listening skills when called, her high toy-drive makes her super fun and easy to train. It’s best to keep toys up and away unless you really enjoy picking them all up as she will drag them all out. Lack of access she hasn't been tested with cats yet. If you are looking for a loyal, fun-loving family dog, Veronica is ready for her forever home! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from County of Hawaii Animal Control. She will be transferred via Paws Across Water Hawaii (PAW HI), arriving to foster care on 6/10/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.July 4, 2026, 10:34 pm

Story
Animal Information: Benny and Ray are 1-year-old Beagle mixes who each weigh about 28 pounds. These sweet, social boys may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but they warm up quickly and are eager to make connections once they feel comfortable. They have been doing well in foster care in Oklahoma and are currently living in a home with both large and small breed dogs. They are learning that the world is a safe place and continue to build confidence each day. Benny and Ray are gentle, friendly dogs who just need a little time and patience to fully blossom. We’re looking forward to meeting them and helping their confidence grow as they prepare for their next chapter with loving families. Foster Profile: Coming Soon!
