Story
This is Deebo, he was born Oct. 8 2023. His owner passed away in December 2024 (who we knew very well) we had basically rescued/fostered him due to poor living conditions once his human passed away and their family was unable to care for him properly. We had fostered him in the hopes of his original owners daughter would eventually take him once she became secure enough however has since had a baby and can’t keep him in her small apartment. We are deeply saddened to have to rehome him but we have another dog and are relocating at the end of June and can’t keep him. Deebo is the sweetest boy, he has always lived with other dogs and kids. He is well mannered, mellow, & house trained. He doesn’t like being alone, he would be best with other dogs, older..possibly retired persons looking for a best friend/companion. We just want to make sure he goes to a loving home as this will be his second rehoming in his short time

Story
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. 9-month-old male Beagle/Chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds. Liberty and Honor were born at the rescue on 5/22/25 to momma Daisy, who was pulled from the Fresno shelter pregnant. Honor is timid at first but quickly becomes your best buddy. He like to be where the people are and will get anxious and vocal when alone. He is good with other dogs but would do fine being an only dog. He is a cuddle bug with adults but has been afraid of children. Not sure how he does with cats. He needs all the things puppies need; potty training, leash walking and further socialization! To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. LILIANA is a 6yo Beagle mix female. She weighs 30#s. Liliana is a very sweet and sensitive dog. She likes to lay in the bed with me and snuggle up next to me or sometimes sleep at the foot-rest of my bed. She adopted me immediately and enjoys to be with me. She loves playing with all my dogs from small to big dogs. Liliana thinks she is a “lap” dog. I call her a “couch potato.” She is crate trained; leash trained (very easy); house trained; and loves to go riding in a car or going for a walk. She definitely a human-pleasing dog. She doesn’t have any prey driven instincts when she sees squirrels or cats on the walks. Liliana also has a very sweet attitude towards people in general. As much as we have not had her around children, she is very nice to all ages. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you will have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Gig Harbor, WA
Size

Details

Story
Ben is a sweet and loveable soul who needs a relaxed and chill environment to match his desire for serenity. He wants a loyal companion who can offer him a quiet space, consistent walking/hiking, lots of petting and treats galore. He is crate trained, house trained, and does not chew or destroy anything. He knows basic commands and walks like a champ! Ben has low to medium energy. He loves his daily walks, but after that is content to chill and sleep around the house. He loves laying in sunny spots in the house and is very food motivated. He especially loves jumping in the creek and will play tug of war on a big stick. Ben would thrive in a home with low stimulation and consistent love and attention. He could be a loving companion for a family or individual who would want a good combination of chill and walk time. He would not do well in a household with consistent visitors coming in and out and would need patient introductions to new children and visitors.

Milo was originally adopted from a shelter in Delaware in 2020. Milo is 14 years old and is extremely loving and playful. Milo is good with any pet and child BUT he does want your attention constantly. We are looking for a loving home that will go on small walks, long couch naps (for him of course) and give him the time he deserves. Milo is a fashionista that loves to be clothed!
