Story
Currently in a Seattle foster home Meet Haram, a 7-year-old, 15kg male Beagle mix with a wonderful blend of Beagle and Labrador Retriever. He’s the perfect mix of lively energy and gentle calmness—an absolutely charming companion. Haram spent a long time in a shelter, even finding himself on the euthanasia list at one point. But by some miracle, he was rescued and given a second chance at life. Even after all those years in the shelter, Haram never lost his warmth toward people. He loves human touch, and when you approach him, he’ll gently make eye contact with you, wagging his tail in the sweetest way. It’s impossible not to fall for him. His personality is incredibly gentle. He gets along well with other dogs and is never aggressive, even when playing. He loves being social and interacting with everyone around him. When meeting new people, he opens his heart quickly, rolling over to show his belly in a playful request for some belly rubs. Haram is also a fantastic walking buddy. True to his Beagle nature, he’s curious and loves exploring, but as he’s gotten older, he’s calmed down quite a bit. After a good walk, he’ll lie down quietly, resting contentedly by your side. He genuinely enjoys the time spent walking with his family and can’t wait for those daily strolls. Because of his long shelter life, Haram doesn’t have much experience living in a home, so he might need a bit of time to adjust to new surroundings. He might make a few mistakes at first, especially with house training, but he’s incredibly smart and quick to learn. With patience and love from his family, he’ll soon adapt to a steady routine and household rules. Haram is not just a “survivor”—he’s a dog ready to give and receive love. His eyes tell the story of trust, of wanting to live and share life with someone who will care for him. Now, what he needs most is a forever family who will fill his remaining years with warmth, joy, and laughter. Haram is waiting for that special family to take his paw and make his final journey a beautiful one.

Story
Senior for a Senior that loves walks! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com Jelly Bean is a 7 yr old 9 mos and 32 lb Retriever/Beagle mix.  Her mom that had her for 6 years had to leave her behind as she had to go to an assisted living facility in Apr 2023.  Jelly Bean is getting depressed. She has gone to every adoption event on Saturdays and has been overlooked because she is a senior dog.  She loves walks, car rides, bones and destroying stuffed dog toys.  She is house and crate trained. She does require a securely fenced yard since she is part Beagle follows her nose.  Since she lived with her mom for 6 years as an only pet, she prefers to be the only pet (no dogs or cats).  She unconditionally loves her humans and loves her daily walks.  Please adopt this senior active gem.  Pssst a nice person has paid most of her adoption fee.   Courtesay post for Helotes Humane Society. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.  November 5, 2024, 6:27 am

Story
Meet Jenny Slate! Jenny Slate is a Beagle mix with a spirit as endearing as the comedian shes named after. She embodies resilience and the sweet serendipity of finding joy after hardship. Her journey, marked by the shadows of a past where she knew little kindness, has transformed into a tale of triumph and love. Shy at first glance, with eyes that mirror a cautious heart, Jenny Slate takes her time to unveil the richness of her personality. But beneath that initial reserve lies a dog brimming with fun and sweetness, ready to engage in life's playful dance- but she's also a homebody who isn't super adventurous. Despite her small stature, Jenny Slate harbors a big heart for fellow canines, regardless of their size. She exudes a gentle camaraderie, finding solace and joy in the company of other dogs. Jenny would prefer a home without cats or small children. Her journey from a life of neglect to one filled with love and care has been nothing short of remarkable. With each day, Jenny Slate demonstrates an inspiring ability to love and trust again, showing off the leaps and bounds she has made in her recovery. Now, as she continues to blossom, shes not just surviving; shes ready to share her newfound capacity for love. Jenny Slate may have started her journey in the shadows, but shes stepping into the light, ready to love and be loved, proving that her past does not define her future! Story
We adopted Lotus when she was two and she has been in our family for 3 years. She is a very quiet, chill dog but she LOVES to run and go for hikes and such. She has the softest ears and wants to sit in your lap 24/7. Lotus is a sweet gal that would love a steady calm life. Sadly our new baby has an allergy so we are unable to keep her. If you think she could be perfect for she would love to meet you!
