Story
Hi! I'm Coco, a bundle of joy packed into a puppy-sized package! Here in the shelter, I spend my days playing with toys, chasing my tail, and learning new tricks. I love meeting new friends and can't wait to greet everyone with a wagging tail and puppy kisses. Life's a game, and I'm always ready for fun! I might trip over my own feet sometimes, but that just adds to the adventure. If you're looking for a playful, loving companion to add energy and laughter to your home, I'm your girl! Let's make every day exciting together! Primary Color: Black Brown Weight: 27.3 Age: 0yrs 4mths 0wks

Story
Meet Destiny! Destiny is a special girl who has come along way. She’s about one years old, spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped! Destiny is originally from the Stockton animal shelter where she was found alone in a field. When she was found nobody even knew she was a dog. She looked like a Small neglected hairless bear. Her mouth seemed to be broken and her teeth were sticking out, she had mange, ringworm you name it! Her foster mom rehabilitated her from top to bottom! Destiny could not even find a foster until her current foster mom who has had her from the beginning stepped up to help her! Destiny has now had two surgeries on her palate to repair the hole that was in her mouth. We have no idea exactly what happened but it seem to have either been a firework or something electrical in her mouth which caused her Deformed gums. Destiny currently has a small hole in her palate but is able to eat larger kibble/ground beef and chicken. She is a very energetic puppy with long arms but still is on the small side. She loves to play with dogs and she loves people. She is not very fond of the leash but who knows what she has been through. We are looking for a beautiful home for her that can give her everything she ever deserved. She would do great with puppy training classes. She likes to jump and say hi to you. She also has her tongue sticking out so she loves her kisses as well. But whatever she likes to do we let her because she has been through so much and now she can finally can be herself!! She is around 35 pounds right now and we don’t think she is going to grow anymore. Her breed is very hard to pinpoint but we were thinking she might be some type of Formosan mountain dog or terrier? Please share destiny and her story and let’s find her an amazing home! To meet destiny please fill out our adoption application and right now she’s being fostered in Salinas California. The last photo is of her when she was first found. https://form.jotform.com/212583059015149March 8, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:2Orion – Gentle, Mellow, and Full of Heart Orion is a handsome 4-year-old Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix weighing 83 pounds with a calm, sweet personality and a soft, affectionate nature. Easy walking partner: Orion walks closely beside his person with minimal pulling, calmly ignoring distractions like birds and squirrels. Calm and content: He enjoys relaxing in the grass, sunbathing near his person. His chill demeanor makes him a soothing companion. Affectionate sweetheart: While Orion may be a little nervous with new people at first, he warms up beautifully. He loves leaning in for snuggles and enjoys resting his head in your lap for face rubs and ear scratches. Gentle social style: Orion’s sometimes still shy and appreciates slow, gentle interactions. He plays gently with other dogs in doggie playgroup and stays polite when passing dogs on walks. Orion would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.           View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by @indies_foster_friends June 16, 2026, 1:39 pm

Learn more hereRoadie is a handsome 1-year-old, 67-pound Malinois mix with a sharp mind, affectionate nature, and a heart full of devotion. While many young dogs need time to adjust to a new environment, Roadie surprised his foster family by settling in beautifully from day one. Smart and eager to please, Roadie already knows some basic commands, and he has mastered house training and crate training. He loves spending time with his people, whether that means joining you on a walk, playing fetch, soaking up belly rubs, or simply relaxing nearby. Roadie is energetic, deeply loyal, and highly trainable—the kind of dog who forms a strong bond with his family and thrives on connection. He has good leash skills but might get overly enthusiastic when he spots squirrels or some unfamiliar dogs. He remains manageable and responds well to guidance, and would love to continue training. He would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. If you're looking for a fun, loving companion who's ready to be your best friend, Roadie may be your match. I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:4Wombat is a handsome Malinois mix, 4 years old and 69 pounds. He’s just as sensitive as he is sweet. Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for him but he has made lots of progress with the help of his doggy friends who help him feel more confident. He is currently looking for a quiet yet active adult home with experienced adopters who can understand his timid demeanor and provide him with time and consistency to help him acclimate to home life.
