Story
Every superhero needs a purpose, and Odette is happiest when she has one. 🦸 This 6-year-old Belgian Malinois is looking for an active home that appreciates her intelligence, energy, and adventurous spirit. Whether she is exploring the outdoors, learning a new task, joining you on a camping trip, or simply following you around the house, Odette is ready to be part of the action. Her superpowers include boundless enthusiasm, world-class cuddling, and turning ordinary days into adventures. She loves having a job to do, thrives on mental and physical enrichment, and is happiest when she feels like part of the team. When the mission is over, Odette is more than happy to trade superhero duties for couch cuddles and sweet kisses. She is affectionate, well-mannered in the home, and loves spending time with her people. Because of her breed traits and high prey drive, Odette is looking for an experienced home without cats, small pets, or small children. Odette will be a loyal teammate, adventure partner, and constant companion to her forever person. For more information about Odette, email info@rescuetheunderdog.org or click "Apply to adopt"

Story
Meet Destiny! Destiny is a special girl who has come along way. She’s about one years old, spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped! Destiny is originally from the Stockton animal shelter where she was found alone in a field. When she was found nobody even knew she was a dog. She looked like a Small neglected hairless bear. Her mouth seemed to be broken and her teeth were sticking out, she had mange, ringworm you name it! Her foster mom rehabilitated her from top to bottom! Destiny could not even find a foster until her current foster mom who has had her from the beginning stepped up to help her! Destiny has now had two surgeries on her palate to repair the hole that was in her mouth. We have no idea exactly what happened but it seem to have either been a firework or something electrical in her mouth which caused her Deformed gums. Destiny currently has a small hole in her palate but is able to eat larger kibble/ground beef and chicken. She is a very energetic puppy with long arms but still is on the small side. She loves to play with dogs and she loves people. She is not very fond of the leash but who knows what she has been through. We are looking for a beautiful home for her that can give her everything she ever deserved. She would do great with puppy training classes. She likes to jump and say hi to you. She also has her tongue sticking out so she loves her kisses as well. But whatever she likes to do we let her because she has been through so much and now she can finally can be herself!! She is around 35 pounds right now and we don’t think she is going to grow anymore. Her breed is very hard to pinpoint but we were thinking she might be some type of Formosan mountain dog or terrier? Please share destiny and her story and let’s find her an amazing home! To meet destiny please fill out our adoption application and right now she’s being fostered in Salinas California. The last photo is of her when she was first found. https://form.jotform.com/212583059015149March 8, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Ranger is a superstar! As a puppy, he was hit by a car and suffered multiple fractures. A kindly benefator stepped in and footed the bill to give Ranger back his perfect health. Since he was so young when he suffered the accident, his bones were luckily still growing and he bounced back like the champion he is. Ranger has an amazing temperament and wonderful disposition. He was the perfect gentleman throughout all of his surgery and follow-up bandage changes. He is extremely tolerant and allowed us to complete bandage changes twice a day for an extended length of time. He has made a full recovery and has been medically cleared by his orthopedic surgeon and is in perfect health. As you can tell from his pictures, Ranger is a regal and exemplary standard-setter of the Belgian Malinois breed, closely matching the established breed standard for both conformation and temperament. A well-bred and obedience trained Belgian goes for $10K on the dog market, but we feel Ranger's worth is priceless. Everybody who's met him loves him. We are seeking a Belgian Malinois lover who will continue with Ranger's obedience work. Could that be you? Please give us a call today about our wonderful and beautiful boy, Ranger. He has accumulated quite a fan club for a 10-month-old. Ask about our foster to adopt program and holistic support we offer for the life of your pet.

Story
Meet Honey, one of those dogs who is beautiful from the inside out. From her deep inquisitive eyes and her luxurious brindle coat, to her affectionate loyalty and playful spirit, she will steal your heart in a second. Intelligent and athletic, Honey thrives with structure and adventure. She enjoys off-leash pack walks and is a joy to train. In foster care, she has shown that she is an excellent candidate for sport dog and more advanced training. She is also devoted to her person. While she does love and revere her humans, Honey also loves the company of other dogs. Her perfect housemate would be a large playful adult male who wants to chase and wrestle with her. She does well with all small dogs too. Honey is crate-trained and prefers a cozy crate, covered and away from noise, where she can chew on a tasty treat. She does not destroy bedding, but is a strong chewer, so she needs something to keep her busy while she settles in. Honey is a healthy, spayed 2-3 year old 80lb Shepherd mix. She is crate-trained, has beautiful teeth and a gorgeous coat, knows basic commands (and learning more!), is food-motivated, does well in the car, and walks nicely on leash. She is currently on bladder support supplements because she tends to dribble when she is excited to see her people. It isn’t constant, and the supplements seem to help. Her prey drive is not strong. We believe she could learn to live with a cat. It is our strong preference that she live with another dog, but not a requirement. We recommend no small children and require secure fencing. If you are looking for your soulmate, please reach out. Honey is waiting for you! Email waggytaylor@gmail.com to set up a time to meet her. California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.August 27, 2026, 1:46 am

Story
Meet the fantastic Cooper! This guy is a short stack of appreciation. He is only about 55 pounds and on the smaller side for a male GSD. What does he appreciate, you may ask? Being away from the shelter of course and in a home with friends to play with, people to pet him, and a cozy bed to sleep on each night. Cooper was pulled from the Stockton Shelter in mid-July. That place was stressing him out! He needed time, structure and some confident dog and people companions in his life to help him decompress. He also needed to be neutered and to get rest during his recovery time. What helped Cooper move into the new chapter of his life: Short walks through the neighborhood. A patient and confident person. A playful pup friend. A predictable and structured routine. Love and understanding. Cooper tends to have some environmental anxiety but using the recipe above this guy will reward you with companionship, couch potato vibes, goofy antics, silly zoomies, and the softest sweetest eyes to stare into. Fill out an application if this sounds like your type of pup!" FOSTERED IN ACAMPO

Story
Hazel is a German Shepherd mix, approx. 4.5 years old. Her story is one of resilience and love. Hazel was abandoned last July by her owner when he moved to Texas. Instead of trying to find a home, he opted to dump her in the country. Fortunately, Lana, a kind Samaritan, found her, took her in, and has been caring for her ever since. Despite her past, Hazel remains a sweet and affectionate girl who loves giving kisses and wagging her tail to everyone she meets. Hazel considers everyone her friend! Hazel travels well in a car and enjoys walks, although she is learning leash manners. She is a quick study and would benefit from additional training. She is treat-motivated and takes treats very gently, which makes her a joy to work with. She is also very mellow and well-behaved indoors. Unfortunately, Hazel and Lana’s resident rescue female German Shepherd do not get along, so Hazel would do best as an only dog or could do well with a male companion. However, Hazel prefers not to live with kitties. If you have been looking for a wonderful, loyal, and loving companion who will be a gentle presence in your home, Hazel could be the perfect match. After all she’s been through, Hazel deserves a caring family and a place to call home. LOCATED IN LODI
