Mellow is one of a litter of four puppies that were abandoned on the side of the road, locked in a crate. Luckily, a good samaritan found them and took them to a vet for life-saving care. As the puppies regained their health, they grew a lot! We are now guessing they are Black Mouth Cur/Chihuahua mixes. Mellow may weigh as much as 35-40 lbs when full grown. The BMC breed is know as friendly, affectionate, loyal, playful, and smart, and Mellow is 100% all of those! Foster mom says that Mellow is the sweetest little cuddle bug ever! This smart, playful pup is already crate and potty trained. She enjoys romping around with other dogs but is also perfectly happy entertaining herself with toys. Mellow may be a little shy when you first meet her, but it won't take long before she is trotting around after you from room to room and sitting attentively by your side. DAISY and POPPY ARE SIBLINGS. All abandoned in the country. There were originally three and one was adopted on her own. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATELY. All the girls are very smart, but Daisy is especially so. Daisy will sit and watch the hummingbirds and watch for the squirrels! We laughingly call Daisy the "good sister" because she is low key and wants to please you - obeying whatever you ask. Flash is almost 2 yrs old. We got him from a shelter with his brother; however, his brother did not make it due to Parvo. Flash is great on walks (but needs someone strong to hold onto him), great with other dogs, and great with people. He is also a pure love bug and loves to snuggle. He will let you love on him nonstop. He can be a bit food aggressive and still has a bit of a biting problem when playing. Loves chasing a ball or playing tug. He knows "bed" (will go to bed and sit), "sit"; "down", "up", "paw", and "come" still need a little work (bloodhounds are known to be a bit stubborn!). We would prefer someone with a home with room to take him, an apartment will just be too small.
