Story
Hello, my name is Shadow and I am a black and white mutt who is 10 months old. I am full vaccinated and spayed. I have a very funny personality and love to go on nature walks, play in the hose, and tug of war with my ropes and toys. I am crate trained and sleep all night. I love my daycare and have been in training to socialize better with other dogs and people. I still have stranger danger and will need someone who understands my dog anxiety better. I am very sweet with all the people I am comfortable with but will still need help on my walks and meeting new people with a professional trainer. I am extremely food motivated and will do almost any command for a good treat. I can't wait to meet you and find my forever home. Shadow's Adoption fee is $350 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-844 To follow Shadow on her journey to a loving family on SPOT's Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member on February 1, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Goose, a spirited boy bursting with affection and playfulness, ready to be your loyal companion. With boundless energy and a heart full of warmth, he's eager to embark on adventures and make cherished memories with an active family. Goose is not only loving, but also incredibly smart, demonstrating commands like "Sit" and "Down" and currently learning "Spin" and "Roll over." However, Goose has handling and restraint sensitivity, so he'll need positive reinforcement training to gain confidence and trust with these actions. Additionally, he exhibits dog reactivity. To help manage this behavior, we introduced him to walking on a Gentle Leader and a Sensation Harness. The purchase of these tools is a requirement for adoption. While Goose isn't a suitable candidate for off-leash venues like dog parks and dog beach, he would thrive participating in activities like hiking and jogging. If you'd like to meet Goose, visit our Oceanside campus today. Don't forget to bring along a leash and collar for your new best friend!Dog Reactive Dog:  This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 47.3 Age: 1yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
Bandit is an incredibly smart and sweet puppy. I’d love to see him go to a family with plenty of time to play with him during the day and that will let him cuddle up at night. He would be a great fit for a family with kids! He's very trainable, but we simply do not have time to give him the support he needs.

These pups are in Carlsbad, California too!

Story
Meet Sonny! He is such a handsome boy. Sonny is a two-year, eight-month-old Aussie Shepherd. He is a handsome boy who loves some belly rubs and gives you a paw when he hasn’t been done getting a pet (see picture)! Unfortunately, he’s not great around children or smaller dogs. He has exhibited dominance and aggression, making him a less-than-perfect candidate for our household with an eight-year-old daughter and other kids around. His resource-guarding behavior is the reason he is listed as having special needs. He needs a home where he can be the only dog in an adult household. Sonny needs to be adopted by an experienced dog owner who would be able to identify any signs of potential aggression and take him to training to get rid of that aggression. CHARACTERISTICS Friendly, Affectionate, Playful, Smart, Independent, Loves kisses With a heavy heart, we’ve decided it would be best if he were to find an environment that gives him a better chance at success and happiness with an experienced dog owner. To meet Sonny, email his foster dad, Joseph, at joseph.e.moser@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing, and ARRF is not familiar with this dog. Please see the contact information at the end of his bio. Thank you.
