Story
How Oreo arrived: Oreo was brought in by their previous owner on 11/22/2025. Why Oreo is the one for you:Oreo is an active, playful Border Collie who loves having something to do and would thrive in a home that can keep his bright mind busy. In his previous home, he did well with young children and enjoyed the company of small dogs, though he can be a bit unsure around larger ones. He was also reported to be kennel and potty trained, and with a little time to readjust to a home routine, he'll likely settle back into those habits. With his love for toys and his energetic spirit, Oreo is ready to be a fun, loyal companion for a family who can give him the activity and engagement he loves. At SDHS:Oreo has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Oreo is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 65 Age: 5yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Hello this is Jax, he is a sweet border collie that is approximately 3 years old. We got Jax about 2 years ago when we bought our home (The previous owners did not give us any information in regards to vaccine records). The previous owners stated they were not able to take their dogs with them and could not find a good place for them, therefore we decided to take the dogs in. We already had 3 small dogs coming into buying the house and unfortunately they are currently not getting along, and are afraid they might hurt one another. We also have a female dog named Gigi (she is a Great Pyrenees and Anatolian mix, and about the same age as Jax), who Jax grew up with, so we would love for them to stay together. This is already a very sad decision we have had to come to.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. We originally pulled Jojo in 9/2020! She has come a long way since then! She no longer has the major separation anxiety that she had before. She enjoys playing with other dogs, loves going for walks and is completely crate trained. Her perfect family will have other dogs for her to hang out with and some patience as she learns a new routine. She is one of the happiest dogs we've ever pulled. We love her and we think you will, too!  Jojo has had a rough life with humans that just keep letting her down. She didn't get the important socialization when she was a baby, instead she was left in the backyard.  Jojo is still in training and is working on being a calmer dog. She does amazingly well if she can be around her person, she gets anxious when she is alone. She suffers from separation anxiety and would do best in a home where adults are home. She loves having other dogs around and being with another dog helps calm her down. We think Jojo's perfect home will have a place for her to live with another dog and owners that are willing to work with her on her separation anxiety and help her to get comfortable  in her new home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 24, 2024, 12:11 am

Story
Shadow is a high drive working breed border collie who needs someone with breed experience (preferred). Fulfillment requirements: She will need more than just an hour long walk a day to meet her physical requirements. She currently bikes, hikes, and loves to swim. She is also well versed in carrying a weighted pack on her hikes, which helps her tune into her body and slow her mind. Shes an athletic girl and needs someone to match that lifestyle. Socialbility (Dog preferences): Shadow is dog selective. She would be perfectly fine in a home with no other dogs but would also do ok if she found a home with the right dog for her. No little dogs or other small animals tho. She doesn't enjoy every dog but enjoys most in the proper introductions are taken. She doesn't enjoy chaos with other dogs but loves to partake in structured pack activities. She is NOT a dog park or high-energy daycare type dog. Training: Shes crate trained and sleeps, eats and rests in one daily. Shes highly intelligent and learns quickly. She is well versed in basic obedience cues: sit, down, stand, stay, recall, place, middle, and loose leash walking. She does not enjoy being approached, touched or spoken to by strangers but has increased her thresholds for tolerance by quite a lot. She can navigate public spaces with the proper guidance but is probably never going to be a "coffee shop" dog. Shadow's Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. Story
How this pet arrived: Scute was brought in by a community member on 9/9/2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Scute is a sweet pup who can be a little sensitive with handling and restraint and may act shy when meeting new people. With patience and understanding, her gentle personality shines through. She is looking for a home that can provide her with the structure, routine, and nourishment she needs, along with the time and space to build her confidence. Scute is not a fan of other dogs, so she'll need to be the only dog in the home, and also wouldn't be comfortable at the dog park or other high dog traffic areas. With the right support, Scute has the potential to grow into a loyal and loving companion. At SDHS: Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 41.6 Age: 4yrs 3mths 0wks

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kane's Comeback: From Tragedy to Triumph Sweet Kane has already lived through more in his young life than most dogs ever will. Struck by a car in a devastating head-on collision, Kane was left with a shattered jaw and a broken nostril. The impact nearly took his life — but this brave boy refused to give up. And neither did we. Thanks to the incredible team at TLC K9 Rescue, Kane was rushed into emergency care. Two CT scans revealed the extent of the trauma, and it was worse than anyone imagined: 21 embedded baby teeth and sharp bone fragments were trapped around his nasal passage, posing a serious risk of infection and further complications. Over the course of two intense surgeries, skilled veterinarians carefully removed every tooth and fragment, working tirelessly to give Kane the second chance he so clearly deserved. It was touch and go at times, but Kane’s resilience never wavered. Through every moment of pain, he wagged his tail, soaked up love, and showed us just how strong his spirit really is. Now, after weeks of healing, tender care, and a whole lot of love, Kane is not just surviving — he’s thriving. His jaw is healing beautifully. His breathing is clear. And most importantly, his heart is wide open, ready to finally experience the joy of a real forever home. Kane is a living reminder of what love, hope, and dedication can do. TLC K9 Rescue spared no expense and left no stone unturned to bring him back from the brink — and today, we are thrilled to announce: Kane is ready for adoption. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart as big as his comeback story, Kane might just be the one. Let’s give this special pup the happy ending he’s fought so hard to reach.
