Ma-eum spent his early years tied outside on a farm, living in fear.
He was abused by a male owner and frightened by children who threw balls at him.
Because of that, he is still afraid of men, loud playground sounds, and the sight of bouncing toys.
But despite all this, Ma-eum has the gentlest heart.
For the past two years, he has been living in a patient and loving foster home.
He has made slow, steady progress — on his terms — and is now ready for the next chapter of his life.

He feels safest around gentle women with warm voices, and he truly thrives in calm, peaceful homes.
