Story
Bada’s journey is one of resilience, joy, and second chances. This lovable pup came all the way from Korea, where he arrived to our partner rescue with a fractured front leg. Unfortunately, the injury became infected due to the extreme heat and humidity, but they knew we couldn’t leave him behind. After rescuing him, it was discovered that his bone had healed improperly, and Bada needed surgery to correct it. Now, after a successful recovery, Bada is living it up in Illinois as a happy, healthy dog who’s ready to leap, run, and enjoy life to the fullest! Bada has a bright, outgoing personality and is full of energy. He’s not shy about anything—he’s all about making new friends and jumping right into playtime! Whether it's chasing after a ball or running around with a fellow dog, Bada is always up for some fun. His exuberance and excitement are contagious! This sweet boy has a friendly nature that makes him warm up quickly to people. Bada is best suited for a home with energetic and playful dogs who can match his playful pace, as he can be a bit too much for more laid-back pups. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, joyful dog who’s ready to shower you with affection and never stops running with joy, Bada is your guy! His past may have been tough, but he’s ready to move forward with a loving family who can match his energy and give him the forever home he deserves. Ready to welcome Bada into your home? He flew across the world just for you!

Story
Meet Tamara and Tia, a dynamic duo of one-year-old Border Collie girls who are as bright as they are beautiful! These sisters arrived as transfers from Chicago Animal Care and Control, and they’ve been stealing hearts since the moment they arrived. Tamara and Tia are the total Border Collie package — clever, energetic, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. They love to play, explore, and show off their smarts, but they also have a soft, snuggly side that makes them wonderful companions. Whether they’re romping in the yard or curling up side by side for a nap, they’re happiest when surrounded by people who love them. While Tamara and Tia adore each other, they’re also confident enough to thrive in separate homes — so they can be adopted together or individually. We’re happy to dog- or cat-test them upon request to help find the best possible match. Double the joy or single the sparkle — either way, Tamara and Tia are ready to make your life brighter!

Story
Hi there— nice to meet you! My name is Popcorn, and just like my name suggests, I’m full of bounce, energy, and a whole lot of heart. I’m about 50 pounds of what’s believed to be pure Border Collie (though no one’s sent in the DNA test yet!), and I’ve got the smarts, agility, and charm to prove it. I pick up commands incredibly fast — I already know sit, stay, paw, come, and more, and I’m always eager to learn new things. I also respond to the name ‘Hiro’, just in case you hear someone call that and I come running!I’m an athletic guy who absolutely needs space to move. I can jump really high, love to do zoomies, and thrive in a home with a fenced yard where I can stretch my legs and let my herding instincts kick in a little. Apartment life just isn’t for me. I love going on long walks, hiking, and car rides — basically, if it involves being active and outside with my people, I’m all in. I’m also very dog-social and enjoy playing with other pups. In large groups of dogs, I sometimes try to “herd” the fun (what can I say, I’m a working dog at heart), but I get along well with just about everyone— including cats! That said, I’m a bit of a sensitive soul. Small, unpredictable kids make me anxious, so I’d feel more comfortable in a home with older children or adults who understand I do best with calm energy and consistency. I’m crate trained and do well when I have structure. I don’t guard my food, and I’m very polite at mealtimes — I’ll even wait my turn without fuss. However, I do have a bit of a mischievous side: if you leave food on the counter or the trash unattended, I might just help myself. I’m working on it, promise!Despite my active nature, I’ve got a soft, cuddly side, too. I love snuggling up at the end of the day and being close to my people. I may be energetic, but I’m also affectionate and loyal — once I bond with you, I’ll be your shadow. With the right home, a bit of guidance, and lots of love, I know I’ll make an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a smart, playful, affectionate dog to share your adventures (and your couch), I might just be the perfect match. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out a no-obligation application today so we can get to know each other better!Adoption fee is $360Almost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements: 1) Be at least 21 years of age2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household3) Ha
