Story
I adopted Sadie from an animal shelter and she was only 2.5 months old at the time. At the shelter they said she is a border collie poodle mix. My girlfriend and I were hoping for a low shedding dog because she has severe pet allergies. Sadie is unfortunately not low shedding which is why we are looking to rehome her. Sadie is now about 1.5 years old, has a lot of energy and love. She loves playing fetch in the yard and she is very friendly with other dogs so she would be great for a household with another dog or an active person. She is house trained and knows basic commands- sit, lay down, paw, and leave it. She’s never shown any signs of aggression and doesn’t really bark. With most people she is good at staying down, sometimes she gets overly excited and can try to jump up to say hi. I haven’t introduced her to many children but she is smart and I think would be great with kids over time. She’s an awesome dog and we are heartbroken we have to rehome her.

Story
This sweet litter came to us from a rural shelter in Mississippi. They are all so sweet and well-socialized and would make a great addition to any family. They appear to be terrier/border collie mixes, and are the happiest puppies you will find! They are crate trained and don’t make a peep all night. They have also mastered the doggy door in their foster home. A few key notes about our Rescue… 1. All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee. 2. No monies exchange hands until the pet has arrived 3. Once adopted, our pets can be transported to Denver, Colorado, the Midwest and all of the north eastern states. 4. We have a Facebook page and an Instagram page. You are welcome to visit to see some of our newly adoptive families. 5. We have been rescuing and transporting pets for 15 years. Transport is an additional $185

Story
Horchata is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey on our website to learn more about her and schedule an introduction. Horchata is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Horchata: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She has been doing well with free roam and in her crate when home alone. Leash walking: Doing well so far! Dog social: Horchata has enjoyed playtime with similarly-sized dogs but will try to chase very small dogs. Cat social: Unknown, but she has done well with guinea pigs! Kid friendly: Horchata would thrive in an adult-only home. While she’s been friendly with children during short visits, she startles easily when woken suddenly so a child-free home might be best. Horchata likes: - Snuggles and giving gentle kisses - Helping you improve your reflexes by reminding you to throw that ball a little faster! - Going on sniffaris to sniff all the neighborhood hot spots - Just being with you, and in a loving comfy home Horchata is a sweet senior lady who LOVES her long, meandering walks. She will take time to sniff every blade of grass and would like to choose what routes she takes (she will sit down if you try to go the wrong way, or will bite her leash if you try to shorten her walk.) When not on walks, she happily snoozes the day away. At night, she likes to curl up on the other end of the couch to watch TV alongside you. Horchata's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter, and she is ready to snuggle up with her forever family! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***

Story
Indy is a sweet, loving boy who has a few quirks that make finding him the right fit important. He can be a little leash reactive, but very friendly with other dogs off-leash. He currently lives in a home with another dog and they get along great! He loves to jump, so keep the countertops and cabinets clear of food or he WILL eat it. Separation anxiety means he would do best in a home where he won't be alone much, and not in an apartment. He's very healthy and has the softest, fluffiest coat which makes him an ideal cuddler. A huge goof with a silly bark, he can't catch a toy to save his life, forgetting he doesn't have hands. Not a great fit if you don't like kisses, personal space, or wrestling! He would do best in a home with a yard or easy access to outdoor space. Happy to answer any questions you may have!

Story
Gus is a sweet boy looking for a new home. He loves running, playing chase, snuggling on the couch and his lambchop stuffed toy! He is asleep most of the day and can be left alone while his owners are at work. He regularly attends a local dog daycare and loves playing with other dogs.Gus is very affectionate and will gently greet you in the morning when you decide to get up. If you tend to sleep in like I do then he will gladly sleep in alongside you. He's very flexible in that regard and will lay back down to sleep if you need more rest. He is trained to sleep in his dog bed and will not get in bed with you unless you want him to.Gus can be very goofy and makes us laugh every single day with his expressive personality. Everybody falls in love with Gus when they first meet him!Gus responds really well to training! He is housetrained and knows all the essential commands. Unfortunately he does not get along with our cats and needs to find a loving new home. We are sad to see him go!
