Please meet Kasmira! Kasmira came to us from another shelter in Chicago. This city girl has traveled a long way and is patiently waiting for her new furever home. Although she has just arrived, we are excited to learn more about this beautiful pup! Kasmira is one of our Special Care pets meaning she needs a bit more love. Kasmira has heartworm disease and will likely have some permanent heart/lung damage. She will need ongoing treatment for this and should be monitored with a private vet. If you have space in your heart and on your couch for lovely Kasmira, come to Anti Cruelty and meet with her today!

Story
Ursula here! I’m as excited to tell you about myself, as I am to meet you. I say that because whether it be a dog, cat, or human, I have never met a stranger. My foster home consists of canines, felines, and my favorite thing ever…kids! I live with two other dogs currently and my playstyle can be described as submissive. I love to romp around and play but I’m gentle when I get to wrestling. I love going on walks and I have worked hard to master my leash skills. I love riding in a car and I’m calm as a co-pilot. I also sleep quietly in my kennel each night and will wake you up with a smile each morning, This blue-eyed gal cannot wait to find her forever family….is that you?

Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **Pippin is a truly extraordinary pup who deserves a loving, patient, and understanding home. Despite facing significant challenges-being deaf, partially blind, and having neurological issues-Pippin is full of spirit and affection. He's looking for a special person who can offer him the structured, caring environment he needs to thrive.About Pippin:Breed: Double merle Border Collie!Personality: Loving, intelligent, and in need of a structured routinePippin requires a home with an experienced owner who can provide him with a strict daily routine. He thrives on consistency and would do best in a home without other pets or young children. His neurological issues make him sensitive to changes, so a predictable environment is crucial for his well-being!His favorite toys? Balls and squishy toys. He'll even drop them at your feet for more fetch! What Pippin Needs:Experienced Owner: Pippin needs someone who understands special needs dogs and is ready to provide extra training and care.Routine: A strict daily routine helps Pippin feel secure and avoid overstimulation.Leash Requirements: He loves walks and playtime, especially tug-o-war, but will need a chain or cable leash for safety.Interactions: Pippin can interact with smaller dogs and cats but finds larger dogs intimidating. He would prefer to be the only pet in the household to avoid resource guarding and to ensure he feels secure.** Submit your foster or adoption application at ChicagoCanineRescue.org! **

There is a rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Archer.
