My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I`m a shy gal who needs time to build some confidence with a patient adopter.- Cuddles are my favorite thing!- I like to stick close to my people for comfort and reassurance. My home needs are:- I need a home with kids 6 and older since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.- If you have kids in the home aged 6-9, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.- Wayside recommends that I meet other dogs in the home to make sure we will be best buds!- A fenced yard is a must for me! I do not know how to walk on a leash, so I need a secure area to go out for potty breaks.- For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. Story
We purchased Sean from a farmer when he was 4 months old. He is about 4.5 years old now. He is a sweet dog who lives to play catch or chase frisbees. Unfortunately, we have chickens and ducks and he has killed 6 of our birds and attacked a 7th, so he needs to go to a home with no birds. We've tried to train and keep him away from the birds as much as possible to no avail. He gets along fine with our other dogs and cats and has been well behaved around our grandchildren.
