Story
Cookie Female • Mixed Breed (Possibly Border Collie/Lab/Terrier Mix) Cookie is a playful, loving 7-month-old pup weighing about 30 lbs. With her black and white coat, athletic build, and intelligent expression, she likely has some Border Collie and Labrador Retriever in her mix, and possibly a touch of Terrier or Pointer. Her energy level, people-friendly nature, and eager-to-please attitude are all traits commonly seen in those breeds. Cookie adores kids, plays well with other dogs, and is always ready for fun and snuggles. She’s also crate-trained and keeps her crate clean—a smart girl who’s off to a great start! If you’re looking for a sweet, active companion who’s ready to be part of the family, Cookie could be the perfect match. All Heart of America dogs are altered, micro chipped and will have age-appropriate vaccines. The adoption fee for all of our dogs/puppies is $225. Story
Sage is a 3-4 year old Border Collie type. She is incredibly smart, she is high energy, and LOVES being outdoors. One of our trainer friends is fostering her, so she is learning all the basic obedience skills. Sage would do best in a home with a submissive dog, or no other dogs, a fenced yard if in the city, and active pawrents! Sage loves kids, but due to her herding nature, we are suggesting no toddlers.    To set up a meet and greet, head over to our website and complete an application please! My favorite hobby? Climbing into your lap&#44 rolling over to show you my belly&#44 and then drifting off to sleep like itandamp;#39;s my full-time job (which&#44 honestly&#44 it kind of is).andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Iandamp;#39;m also the perfect office dog. Calm. Loving. Quiet if youandamp;#39;re there. Just happy to be near my people. I was found running near the railroad&#44 but those days are behind me. Now Iandamp;#39;m just looking for a comfy spot next to you and someone to love.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Walks? Great. People? Love them. Laps? Story
Jai is a 50-pound mixed breed sweetheart who brings just the right balance of playfulness and calm to any home. With her gentle personality and affectionate nature, Jai has quickly become a favorite among our volunteers and fosters. She’s an incredibly friendly girl who gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and kids. Whether she’s cuddled up for a nap, hanging out in the backyard, or greeting new friends with tail wags, Jai’s easygoing demeanor makes her a wonderful companion for families, couples, or individuals alike. Jai is both house trained and kennel trained, which makes the transition into a new home smooth and stress-free. She loves to go on walks, lounge in the sun, or just be near her people. While she’s laid-back by nature, Jai also enjoys some fun and playtime—especially if it involves outdoor exploring or sniffing around the yard. She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can run and roam freely or with an active adopter who enjoys getting out and about. Jai is the type of dog who will happily match your energy—ready to relax when you are, but excited to join when it’s time for a little fun. The only exception to Jai’s friendliness? Chickens. She just can’t help herself around them, so a chicken-free home is a must. Jai's adoption fee is $200. This fee includes her vaccinations, spay surgery, microchip, and heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Jai was diagnosed with Ehrlichiosis, a condition that occurs when dogs are bitten by an infected tick. She has received treatment and has experienced no further issues since. If necessary in the future, certain antibiotics, particularly doxycycline, are highly effective. This treatment is the preferred choice as it is readily available and generally well tolerated. Ready to give Jai the second chance she deserves? Apply to adopt at lucky13rescue.org and make her part of your story.
