Story
Devlin is a sweet and shy young lady who is looking for a home of her own! She came to us from a southern shelter so we don`t know much about her history, but she has been getting braver every day! Devlin loves to meet new people and hasn`t met a lap she didn`t try to climb into. She is super sweet and snuggly, but has been a bit overwhelmed by all the sights and sounds of her new environment. Since she can be worried in new places Devlin is looking for a family that can teach her about the world in a safe and fun way and go at her pace. Devlin seems to get a lot of comfort from other dogs and we think she would likely do best in a home with another social dog who can help her build her confidence! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Although Cleo is very shy with humans and animals, she warms up well and loves to play with all humans and any dog that she can, and even a cat. She has been submissive to other animals, dogs and cats. She loves to snuggle in a lap or at least right beside you when she warms up; she is very sweet and snuggly. Cleo is very calm for a puppy and is not at all mouthy. She is in the process of house training; she does not yet alert to potty but is taken out frequently and has very minimal accidents. If Cleo’s paws touch the grass, she will potty every time and usually very quickly. She has experience with a doggy door as well.Cleo has not been very interested in toys so far, but does love flavored chew bones and treats. She will sit for a treat. She has spent her days lounging and playing, and at night sleeps without a peep for at least 8 hours in her crate, although she does prefer to be crated in a room with her humans or other animals. She is learning to walk on a leash. Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Story
Pringles is a senior pup looking for a quiet home to enjoying naps on the couch and slow walks to enjoy the outdoors. He is a shy boy that opens up after some time. Pringles usually finds himself connecting with a special person in his life. He is shy around other dogs and not much of a dog park kind of dog. Just too much for him and prefers the company of his favorite people. He is completely house trained, in good health, with all of his shots up to date, along with recent dental care at the vet. He is very food motivated, and loves pets and belly rubs. He can still move around well though his joints are showing age. Losing a few more pounds would certainly help that. So if you are looking for a kind older pup that loves to go on nice slow walks, of course car rides, and lounging on the couch with his forever family, Pringles is the dog for you!

Story
Hi, my name is Boone and I am a quiet, goofy, and athletic boy! I am almost 2 years old and 36 lbs of love. I love car rides, long walks, pup cups, and playing with doggy friends. I was rescued from Texas 10 months ago and am so happy to be living in Massachusetts because I love pooping in leaves in fall and playing in the snow in winter! My moms say I'm the bestest and sweetest boy, but I'm too intense with my kitty brothers. It's not my fault they're so fun to mess with! I am fully house-trained and know to ring bells when I need to go out. I don't like the crate except for bedtime as long as I'm in the same room as my humans. I am a shy, sensitive boy and will need to go slow with new people. The best home for me would have a fenced-in yard and include a playful doggy sibling, or two, or maybe even more! I love to play, wrestle, and run around with my dog friends at daycare and at my grandma's house. I hope you can consider being my forever home!

Name- Stoney Male  Color- White Breed Australian Cattle Dog/Chihuahua  Age 5 Weight 49 lbs Owner Surrender- Died. His owner was handicaped and he wasnt socialized much. Walks good on a leash Kennel trained: Yes Good with dogs- Yes, more dominate ones that will put him in his place. He would be easiest, in a only dog home. Good with cats - yes Good with kids- Yes, calmer older kids. (loud noises make him over excited) Potty trained - yes Could live in apartment? Yes Jumps- no Barks- no Separation Anxiety- no Chews- no Good in the car - yes Loves to carry around stuffed toys without tearing them up. Personality- very smart, knows some commands, playful. Just a over all wonderful companion. Best home needs to be someone who is active and/or has a house with a yard. He would be fine as an only dog or to live with a more dominate dog. He can be a little much and annoying for more reserved dogs, so he may need a dog that will put him in his place. He also would be fine in a home with older kids and cats ( he doesnt pay attention to them) ##2205557##

Story
Gordo is an energetic two-year-old who will soon be three years old. He loves playing catch and tug-of-war, going to the dog park, and cuddling. Gordo gets scared of people wearing hats and hasn't been around children. He gets very excited by new people and will bark but is easily redirected. Gardo listens to commands: sit, come, drop (in toy), bedtime, and go peepee. Gordo was rescued along with his litter, and his shots are all up to date. Gordo needs lots of space to run and likes lots of attention/cuddles as he is still a puppy (He will be 3 years old on May 5th). If you would like to learn more shoot us a text or call. Update: Gordo loves the snow, even though he was born in Florida, he will play in it all day. If you have any interest in adopting Gordo, please contact me. We are getting down to the wire, and I would prefer to transition him to a good home.
