He takes his “security patrol” duties seriously, then happily retires to relax and enjoy his day.Hawkeye is house trained on a schedule of about 6–7 hours and currently benefits from a midday let-out to comfortably do his business. He requires a fenced yard, as this is where he prefers to potty and spend time exploring at his own pace.He does well on a leash and is continuing to improve with short morning or evening walks, which also help manage his arthritis. His arthritis is supported with a Cosequin supplement, and he should wear a harness instead of a collar due to laryngeal paralysis, which can be aggravated by heat or pressure on the neck. Because of this, mid-afternoon heat is avoided for activity.Hawkeye is social and gets along well with other dogs. "She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED!
