Meet Mr. Bean, a 10 week old male border collie/lab mix who is expected to weigh 45 to 50 pounds when grown. He is very handsome and quite distinguished in his black and white tuxedo colors. Bean loves to play alone or with other dogs and really enjoys tug. He is just a bit shy until he gets to know you, then he's ready to snuggle up! Bean has a gentle energy and gets along with everyone. He sleeps well at night, is paper trained and currently working on mastering potty training. Please consider that puppies this young cannot be successfully crated for more than 4 hours at a time without a break. Bean comes fully vaccinated, neutered, and up to date on preventatives. I am such a good girl ;) Even my rescuers tell me that! I am not sure why I was left alone in a neighborhood, by myself, all alone ?? I deserved so much better, and I am here to say, "SIEZE THE DAY!!!" Because you just don't know if it is your BEST day ever, UNTIL you SIEZE it and DON'T LET GO!!! And seriously, here I am!! Living in a rescue with friends and love and food and safety :D I am now ready for the best family! You would get the best companion, EVER!! I am loyal, I am loving and I am smart AND I can wear a cute pair of pajamas too! Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. I'm a college graduate! I spent 10 weeks at MSU training with the students there in the DARR School of Agriculture in their Companion Animal Program. I was already a sweet girl, but now I’m trained and really ready to be the best girl ever for a new family. Won’t you give me a chance? Hi, I'm Gabi! I'm a Border Collie/Heeler/German Shepherd mix! I'm very sweet and affectionate and I am looking for a home that can keep up with me.  If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis, MO. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas.  All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2488927##
