Hawkeye & Remi – Bonded Seniors with Big HeartsHawkeye – 10-year-old Black Lab MixHawkeye is a gentle senior who enjoys the simple things in life—sunshine, fresh air, and a good shady spot to settle down after making sure the yard is safe and secure. He takes his “security patrol” duties seriously, then happily retires to relax and enjoy his day.Hawkeye is house trained on a schedule of about 6–7 hours and currently benefits from a midday let-out to comfortably do his business. He requires a fenced yard, as this is where he prefers to potty and spend time exploring at his own pace.He does well on a leash and is continuing to improve with short morning or evening walks, which also help manage his arthritis. His arthritis is supported with a Cosequin supplement, and he should wear a harness instead of a collar due to laryngeal paralysis, which can be aggravated by heat or pressure on the neck. Because of this, mid-afternoon heat is avoided for activity.Hawkeye is social and gets along well with other dogs. He also showed no adverse reaction when meeting a cat at the veterinary clinic.Remi – 8-year-old Border Collie MixRemi is the more active of the pair and a classic border collie at heart—intelligent, observant, and always keeping an eye on the world around him. He enjoys running in a fenced yard and making sure everything in the neighborhood is running “on schedule.”He is affectionate and loves spending time with his people, often resting his head in your lap while you relax in the evening. Remi enjoys companionship and attention just as much as activity. He does well with other dogs, though he has not officially been tested with cats—based on his temperament, there are no immediate concerns, but this is not confirmed. Remi is also learning leash skills and enjoys 2–3 short walks daily. He does best when crated in the morning, as he can occasionally have accidents if left loose during that time.TogetherHawkeye and Remi are a sweet, bonded-feeling pair who enjoy each other’s company and bring out the best in one another. They balance each other beautifully—Hawkeye’s calm, easygoing nature pairs perfectly with Remi’s playful curiosity and intelligence. They are both loving dogs who enjoy companionship, routine, and a safe space to relax and just be themselves.

🐾 HI, I’M TUNNEL! 🐾 Your handsome spotted boy with the nose of a detective and the heart of a marshmallow… once I trust you. 🤎 I’m a 2.5-year-old, 55-lb Retriever/Border Collie/Lab mix with the world’s cutest pink snoot and a patch over one eye that makes me look like a pirate… a very sensitive, easily-startled pirate. 🏴‍☠️💗 I’m a cautious guy who needs patience, consistency, and a calm home to feel safe. "She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Story
Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. We are looking for a rescue or very experienced, child-free home for our 9-year-old Border Collie, Baron. Baron is: • Incredibly smart • Loyal and loves his people • A total lounger at home, but also like to run around in the yard • Happy in a calm, predictable environment However, we need to be very honest about why we’re making this decision: Baron has anxiety and reactivity, especially with other dogs and high-stimulation situations. Most importantly, he is not safe around children. He has had two bite incidents involving our daughter, including a recent bite to the face after being startled. Because of this, we cannot keep him in our home, and our priority is finding the safest and most appropriate placement for both him and others. Baron would do best in: • A child-free home • With someone experienced with reactive/anxious dogs • A calm environment (not a busy household) • Someone who understands bordercollie's behavior

Debuting Today: Get your application in quickly for this amazing girl. Libby, Libster, Libby Lou Libby is the best girl. If she has a fault, it's she just loves to run and play ball, all day. Saved from being euthanized at a rural pound, for having demodectic mange, Libby is 100% healthy and seeking her Furever home. We have no idea what breed she is, other than striking.. Libby is about 2 yrs old 65lbs, spayed, chipped and all vaccines are current, she is housebroken. Libby would love to have a playmate, she is dog, cat and kid friendly. An active family to hike and walk would be a dream come true for her. She does require a secure fenced yard, as she is an explorer. Libby can clear a 4' fence and can climb a 6' chain link. She would make a wonderful agility dog, with time and training. If you're in the market for a loving, loyal and unique companion Libby is your girl. Story
Neeko’s Story – Please Read ?? I need people to read this one all the way through, because Neeko is running out of chances and it’s not his fault.Neeko is only 3 years old, but he has already been in multiple homes, multiple fosters, and now back at the shelter again. Not because he’s a bad dog — but because he has never had a stable life long enough to learn how to be one.Neeko came to PAC in January 2023 as a 7-week-old puppy from Rayville, Missouri. He went to foster, then was adopted in April 2023 — what should have been his forever home. But on 9/2/25, Neeko was surrendered after the owner’s wife passed away. From what we were told, Neeko was allowed to run freely through the neighborhood and was never socialized with people — only his owners. When he was surrendered, he was shaking so badly it looked like he was having seizures. He hid in the smallest corners and just whined. He was absolutely terrified.Since that day, Neeko has been bounced around over and over:9/11/25 – Foster to adopt ? returned because he was “too big”9/20/25 – Went to a foster to decompress1/3/26 – Returned from foster1/20/26 – New foster who considered adopting3/10/26 – Returned because they were going out of town and decided not to adopt3/10/26 – Went to foster to adopt again the same day3/21/26 – Returned againThat is at least 5 different homes since September.Imagine being that dog.One foster said:“He’s a sweet boy. He knows how to shake and sit. He takes treats very gently. He loves stuffed toys and watching TV. He adjusted well when we moved his bed. He never had accidents, never chewed anything, and doesn’t have separation anxiety.”Another said:“He is very well potty trained. He really needs a fenced yard where he can run. He remains a challenge but I think the right home could reduce his energy and anxiety.”The most recent return said:He doesn’t walk well on a leash, doesn’t like men, and is becoming destructive when people come to the door. But here’s the thing…This sounds like a dog that is regressing from being bounced around his entire life.Every time he starts to adjust, he loses his home again.Every time he trusts someone, they disappear again.Every time he feels safe, he gets moved again. He’s learned how to sit, shake, and be a good boy — but he’s never been taught that people don’t leave.Neeko doesn’t need perfection.Neeko needs consistency. He n

Story
Blue is a 1-year-old Blue Heeler mix (born 12/13/2024) and weighs about 70 lbs. He’s a super lovable guy with all the classic herding dog traits—smart, active, and always looking for something to do. He loves to play (especially soccer!) and needs plenty of daily exercise to keep him happy.Blue would do best as an only dog. He has a high prey drive and tends to see smaller dogs as something to chase. He’s fully potty trained and crate trained, and he picks up on things quickly—but if he doesn’t have enough structure or activity, he’ll definitely find his own “job.”He’s very athletic but also a big snuggle bug who loves to flop upside down and soak up attention. He can be a bit of a goofy oaf and doesn’t always realize how big he is.Blue does well with older kids, though he may try to herd them by nipping at their heels. He’s great for grooming but does have sensitive skin, so he’ll need a hypoallergenic shampoo. He’s also done well on food for sensitive skin and stomachs.Overall, Blue is a sweet, fun-loving dog who just needs an active home with some structure to really thrive.
