Phillip is a 1 year old pure bred border collie. He is a friendly, lovable, trainable dog. Biggest struggle he has is destruction when left alone for too long and bored. His owner is going through a medical crisis, moving across the country for treatment, needs to rehome the dog. Owner says this is one of the hardest decisions of his life but Phillip deserves more than the owner can currently provide.

Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. I'm a lucky dog and smart, too! I was chosen to go to college with the MSU Companion Animal students at MSU and I graduated! I spent 10 weeks learning great stuff with the students and now I'm ready for a real job - like loving you! I learn quickly, already know commands and I'm house trained. I'd love to have an active family and a job to do - just a sling care of you would be an honor. Don't you want to meet me? Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
