Story
Hawkeye & Remi – Bonded Seniors with Big HeartsHawkeye – 10-year-old Black Lab MixHawkeye is a gentle senior who enjoys the simple things in life—sunshine, fresh air, and a good shady spot to settle down after making sure the yard is safe and secure. He takes his “security patrol” duties seriously, then happily retires to relax and enjoy his day.Hawkeye is house trained on a schedule of about 6–7 hours and currently benefits from a midday let-out to comfortably do his business. He requires a fenced yard, as this is where he prefers to potty and spend time exploring at his own pace.He does well on a leash and is continuing to improve with short morning or evening walks, which also help manage his arthritis. His arthritis is supported with a Cosequin supplement, and he should wear a harness instead of a collar due to laryngeal paralysis, which can be aggravated by heat or pressure on the neck. Because of this, mid-afternoon heat is avoided for activity.Hawkeye is social and gets along well with other dogs. He also showed no adverse reaction when meeting a cat at the veterinary clinic.Remi – 8-year-old Border Collie MixRemi is the more active of the pair and a classic border collie at heart—intelligent, observant, and always keeping an eye on the world around him. He enjoys running in a fenced yard and making sure everything in the neighborhood is running “on schedule.”He is affectionate and loves spending time with his people, often resting his head in your lap while you relax in the evening. Remi enjoys companionship and attention just as much as activity. He does well with other dogs, though he has not officially been tested with cats—based on his temperament, there are no immediate concerns, but this is not confirmed. Remi is also learning leash skills and enjoys 2–3 short walks daily. He does best when crated in the morning, as he can occasionally have accidents if left loose during that time.TogetherHawkeye and Remi are a sweet, bonded-feeling pair who enjoy each other’s company and bring out the best in one another. They balance each other beautifully—Hawkeye’s calm, easygoing nature pairs perfectly with Remi’s playful curiosity and intelligence. They are both loving dogs who enjoy companionship, routine, and a safe space to relax and just be themselves.

🐾 HI, I’M TUNNEL! 🐾 Your handsome spotted boy with the nose of a detective and the heart of a marshmallow… once I trust you. 🤎 I’m a 2.5-year-old, 55-lb Retriever/Border Collie/Lab mix with the world’s cutest pink snoot and a patch over one eye that makes me look like a pirate… a very sensitive, easily-startled pirate. 🏴‍☠️💗 I’m a cautious guy who needs patience, consistency, and a calm home to feel safe. Once I decide you’re my person? I melt into your side like warm butter on toast. I’ll follow you, protect you, and be your loyal ride-or-die forever. ✨ My Stats (aka why I’m worth it): • 😳 Shy at first • 🐕‍🦺 Protective/territorial — I take my job seriously! • 🏡 Yard required for zoomies + security patrols • 💛 Moderate energy • 🚫 No cats, please (I think they’re tiny suspicious ninjas) • 🐢 A little cautious, but I try really hard Once I warm up, I adore other dogs, love being outside, and I’ll happily snooze near you like the big, spotted weighted blanket you never knew you needed. I promise: give me time, give me kindness, and I’ll give you my whole goofy heart. 👉 Click the link next to my name to learn more, apply, or schedule a meet & greet! #AdoptTunnel #SpottedSweetheart #RescueDog #StrayPawsRescue #AdoptDontShop #ShyButShining #WorthTheWork #ForeverHomeNeeded

Story
Meet Wiley! Wiley is an approximately 1.5 year old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) with a happy personality and a very smart mind. He is an active boy who is always ready for his next adventure and would thrive with a family that understands the needs of intelligent working breeds. Wiley is high energy and will need a breed knowledgeable owner committed to continuing his training and providing both mental and physical stimulation. He is eager to learn and already does pretty well on a leash. With consistency and structure, Wiley has the potential to become an incredible companion. He would do best with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor activities, training, and keeping their dogs engaged. Wiley is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in life right alongside his people. Wiley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)

"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Debuting Today: Get your application in quickly for this amazing girl. Libby, Libster, Libby Lou Libby is the best girl. If she has a fault, it's she just loves to run and play ball, all day. Saved from being euthanized at a rural pound, for having demodectic mange, Libby is 100% healthy and seeking her Furever home. We have no idea what breed she is, other than striking.. Libby is about 2 yrs old 65lbs, spayed, chipped and all vaccines are current, she is housebroken. Libby would love to have a playmate, she is dog, cat and kid friendly. An active family to hike and walk would be a dream come true for her. She does require a secure fenced yard, as she is an explorer. Libby can clear a 4' fence and can climb a 6' chain link. She would make a wonderful agility dog, with time and training. If you're in the market for a loving, loyal and unique companion Libby is your girl. Story
Rooster Rooster is a 1 year 5-month-old Australian Cattle Dog with all the smarts, drive, and intensity you’d expect from the breed—and a heart that’s still learning to trust new people at his own pace.He can be aloof when first meeting someone new, but once he feels safe and builds that bond, his loyalty shines through. Rooster just needs a little time and patience to show you who he really is.He is potty trained and was surrendered to the shelter due to his strong herding instincts, so he will thrive in a home that understands and respects those natural behaviors.Rooster would do best in a home with:No small childrenHerding-breed or working-dog experienced adoptersStructure, consistency, and mental/physical enrichmentA calm introduction process with new peopleHe does best with female dogs, and would benefit from a compatible canine companion or structured dog interactions.Rooster isn’t a “right away” kind of dog—but for the right person, he’s the kind of dog who forms a deep, loyal bond that lasts a lifetime.

Meet Freckles — Red-Spotted, Smart, and Sweet-as-Pie Freckles is a 1 year, 7-month-old Cattle Dog/Pit mix with the cutest red freckles you’ve ever seen and a heart full of potential. She’s silly, smart, and secretly a snugglebug... once she trusts you. Nervous Nellie at first — new people and places make her shy, but give her time and patience, and you’ll unlock the most loyal little lovebug you’ve ever met.* Once she’s comfy, she’s: • A total lap dog• Can’t control her licker (seriously, brace for kisses!)• Treat and toy obsessed• Professionally trained – sit, down, stay, come, and even waits politely for her food ??• Crate trained and house-ready!!! A few things about our freckled friend:*Needs a secure fenced yard*No kids – too scary.*No cats – hard pass.VERY SCARY *Could be OK with a respectful, calm dog friend. Forward dogs are very scary. ??*Needs someone with herding breed or high-energy dog experience*Looking for an adventure buddy who’ll give her lots of enrichment and guidanceShe’s got that “nervous at first, best friend forever” energy — and if you’re patient and kind, Freckles will blossom into your shadow, your hiking pal, your snuggle partner, and your little ray of sunshine. ??Are you the one for her? Story
Millie — A Soft Soul Learning That Home Can Be SafeMillie came to the shelter after being surrendered due to unforeseen circumstances. She arrived very shut down, fearful, and unsure of the world around her—overwhelmed by even simple everyday sights and sounds. As a sensitive cattle dog-type, she needed time, space, and patience to begin decompressing and learning that she was finally safe.Since entering foster care, Millie has truly started to blossom. The shy, unsure girl is still there—but she is now layered with a growing affectionate, playful, and deeply loving side that is beginning to shine through. In her foster home, Millie has discovered the joy of comfort and connection. She loves attention and will happily curl up next to anyone willing to share the couch. She enjoys lying on the deck soaking up the sun and taking in the world at her own pace. At night, she is a dedicated snuggler—once she’s settled in bed, she stays put until morning, soaking up closeness and security.Millie has done very well with the 8-year-old child in the home and has shown that once she trusts her environment, she can be gentle, affectionate, and deeply bonded with her people. She is also house-trained and has been doing well being left alone for a couple of hours without needing a crate, though she does not tolerate kenneling well. She enjoys her daily walks and benefits from activity to help her release energy. Like many cattle dog mixes, she can become focused on movement—she loves chasing squirrels—so an adopter who can confidently guide her on leash is important. She appears to prefer male dogs over females and enjoys canine company once she has had time to warm up, though introductions should always be slow and thoughtful.Millie is: House-trained Affectionate and highly cuddly with her people Good with respectful children (has lived successfully with an 8-year-old) Crate-averse (does better left loose for short periods) Dog-selective (may prefer males; slow introductions required) Active and enjoys daily walks and enrichmentMillie is still a sensitive dog at heart, but she is no longer shut down. She is learning how to trust, how to relax, and how to love her people back. With patience, structure, and a home that understands both her softness and her energy, Millie is ready to fully unfold into the devoted companion she was always meant to be.
