Busy days with traffic and crowds? A work in progress, but oh, the potential! Leash manners are another area his family is working on—he starts off like a champ, walking politely by your side, but a sudden noise can make him bolt for the safety of the car (which, fun fact: He used to dread car rides so much he needed a little chill pill, but now? He's begging for joyrides! His foster dad Dave's truck is his safe haven on wheels. 🚗💨) He's been a total gentleman with other dogs—super passive and easygoing, letting the bossy ones (looking at you, resident Border Collie) take the lead while he chills and finds his own fun. Men? Instant fan club—his foster dad is his hero. Cats and kids? Promising but needs slow, supervised intros. Our feisty feline is still giving him the side-eye (we think it's excitement, not chase mode), and he's already won over a visiting grandson. This week, we'll be testing the waters with a toddler in the mix—fingers crossed for more tail wags! Bottom line? This boy has zero formal training under his belt yet, but with patience, positive vibes, and lots of those quiet trail walks, he's going to blossom into the most loyal, affectionate companion. His foster family is totally smitten. "I've fallen in love with him," they confessed. "He just needs time to trust the world again." And trust us—he's worth every gentle step. Phantom is a sweet lovable dog but very high energy! He got along very well with my other male and got attached to him. Unfortunately, we just don’t have the time to keep him busy like we’d like too as we both work very long hours. He is very treat motivated and learned the commands sit, lay down, and paw fairly quick. He is catching on to learning stay. We also have 2 cats in our house and at first he wasn’t sure about them but after some correction he gets along very well with my cats and tends to leave them alone. He loves going to daycare to let off steam and going to dog parks to run his laps. He is honestly very sweet and wants to please so he’d be perfect for someone willing to take the time to train him.

Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them.
