Story
Kevin is a sweet, intelligent, slightly neurotic boy. He’s uncomfortable with new situations, doesn’t much like getting into the car, although he does fine once he’s in. He’s very treat motivated and really cuddly. It breaks my heart to rehome him, but he has just acquired a taste for my hens. He has always been quick to come when called, but the chickens are too exciting for him to ignore. He lives with cats and another dog. He spends time with my young grandchildren and is very timid around them. He needs consistency and patience, and I’m not up to giving him what he deserves. He could be a great companion to the right person.

Story
Freddie is the funniest, 18mo old 50lb guy! He is very active and much prefers to run and dance versus walking. He twirls when he runs and will leap back and forth in excitement when he knows a treat is coming. We are working on calming behaviors and impulse control, but he just gets so excited about being outside with his pals, it’s hard for him to settle down for at least the first 15 min of playtime. Then he’s more likely to pay attention to training games that teach more manners and commands. He appears to be a border collie / husky mix, with what else, we don’t know. His intelligence suggests this, too. Freddie would be an awesome hiking partner. After a short run, he’s also learning how to walk properly on a leash. Because of an old injury to his front foot when he was a puppy, he is not a candidate for long distance jogging or running. Walking and especially hiking would be the perfect outdoor activities instead. Freddie loves other dogs so lots of doggy play dates are a must, although he doesn’t need another dog in the home. He has not been tested with cats, so no kitties please. He loves children but he’s still learning to be polite so kids must be over 12yrs old. An active home with a fenced yard is required. He does NOT have the herding tendencies like others of his breed type. Freddie is crate trained and almost completely house trained. If he has potty breaks at least every 4-5hrs, he’s doing great with his training

Story
Mimi is a very sweet younger female Great Pyrnese MIx. She was found on the side of the road during a thunder storm, scared and lost. She was brought to us and turned out to be a very sweet sweet girl. We searched for a owner and posted online looking for her owner but no one responsed. So we took her to our local vet and had her vaccinated, spayed, and chipped.   She loves all the other dogs and loves to play.  She is doing well on a leash.  Mimi is currently living in the Texas Hill Country and can be transported to any where in the United States and Canada.  Please inquire about Mimi or fill out our online application. And have this beautiful girl a part of your family forever.   ##1760149##

They are brother and sister and we want them adopted together. They love to spend their time romping in the yard and taking leisurely walks around the ranch. These beautiful and loyal companions would make great additions to an active family. They are fully vaccinated, neutered and spayed, and microchipped for life. Story
These two sweet dogs came to us because their owner passed away. They are Tristan (white paws) and Desmond (the fluffier one), 10-12 years old. Desmond seems to be a Chow-Chow mix, Tristan could be a Border Collie/Bernese mix. They are very docile, well behaved, and get along well with our dog and two cats. Desmond is more outgoing, asking to be petted, wants to be close to you. He is deaf, but that does not bother him. He occasionally barks in protest when a door is closed to him but is not a barker in general. Tristan is a more reserved, but when he warms up to you he will roll over to get his belly scratched and is appreciative of being petted and brushed. He is a bit arthritic and moves slowly. We've had them since mid-January, and I have yet to hear him bark. They would do best in a quite home without young children. They like short walks and excursions into the yard, but are not dogs to go hiking or play fetch. They deserve good care and a loving home.

Story
Hello, I am looking to rehome my dog Juno! I am moving and unfortunately cannot take her with me. She is almost 6 years old, is spayed, very healthy and microchipped. She is a very sweet girl who can be energetic at times as she is a boarder collie mix but is also a snuggle bug. She has been in a home with cat and other dogs but would benefit from being the only pet. She does have a lot of anxiety and is very fearful of loud noises so she needs a person/persons who can be patient with her. Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested

These pups are in Tumwater, Washington too!

Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is not good with small dogs as her breed likes to keep the "rodents" at bay. I would say no dog under 20lbs - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? she is not good with lazy pet goats, pigs and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is located in San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to your location through Your Tx Rescue Connection transport service. The fee includes adoption fee and transportation fee.

Story
Luther came to me as a rescue. He spent his first year in a shelter and this past year with me. He is deaf and has learned many hand signals. He sits, stays and responds well with collar grabbing. He is very affectionate and can be goofy at times. He walks well on leash with minimal tugging. As a kelpie he has a lot of energy and likes to herd. Unfortunately due to an accident I am unable to give him the time and outlet he needs with walks and such. Luther goes to a local farm on occasion when I have had to go out of town. He does well with the other dogs there. He's been good around my grandkids but could get startled by very young kids since he cannot hear them.

Story
Leia is my best friend and my dream dog. Unfortunately she has become too unpredictable as to how she’ll react when we’re not around. Around our family she is the sweetest dog the LOVES all the attention. She loves to cuddle, play she knows tricks. She is crate trained and will return to her kennel upon a command and will come to you with a snap of a finger. She does have a weak stomach so if something doesn’t sit right, she will vomit it up immediately. The reason she’s needing away from our house is while we were gone on a longer vacation, she and her older but smaller brother got into a fight over her food in her kennel. She ended the fight fast causing us a large vet bill. The other dog is okay but it was a wake up call that it’s clear we cannot care for her any longer. Writing this breaks by heart because as I said, she is my. Best friend and I love her very much. But I have to get her in a single dog family as soon as I can. Rehoming fee is just so I know you are serious.
