Story
Minnie Lou is approximately one year old and is an incredibly loving, affectionate, and intelligent dog. Her DNA results show she is primarily Border Collie, with Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mixed in. She loves being with her people and enjoys snuggling just as much as being active. She has attended doggy daycare at Biscuits in Tacoma, has lived successfully with our 9-year-old Golden Retriever and two adult cats, and has grown up in a home with four children. She is fully housebroken, crate trained, and sleeps comfortably in her crate at night. She loves meeting new people and other dogs. Like many young working breeds, she thrives with regular exercise, mental enrichment, and continued training. She can be enthusiastic when greeting people, enjoys chewing if she gets bored, and is vocal when something exciting is happening, but she does not have separation anxiety. I truly believe Minnie Lou's ideal home is one with room to run and explore, or with someone who can give her a job to do through hiking, running, agility, or farm life. She is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and happiest when both her mind and body are engaged.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Whitney a possibly a Border Collie mixed with Red Heeler. DOB 2/1/26; currently about 30# and will probably get to be 45-50#s, best guess. She is the most adorable puppy EVER! She is enthusiastic & confident; curious & playful; and very smart. She has almost mastered walking on a leash and she is good in her crate. She loves car rides. She is mostly quiet in the kennel, except when she needs to do her business! She loves people and dogs of All sizes and ages. Because she is young, we don’t recommend very young children be around her. In her puppy playfulness, she would probably knock the little ones down. Curious, interested in cats but not aggressive. Loves treats so she will be easy to train. She plays with the rope toy or stick with you, but she does not return it yet. She definitely acts goofy when she plays but also loves to snuggle in your lap. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Jack is a male Shepherd mix, about 5 yrs old. He weighs 45#. He is a good dog... no aggression but also no training. He has been getting some leash training of which he's doing very well. This guy needs to have a companion to take him everywhere, go on hikes, and maybe even swimming. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He does need daily exercise but I’m sure he will calm down after he knows he’s in a forever home and gets his love and exercise every day. He deserves a second chance…he needs someone who believes in him! Check our You Tube Video: https://youtu.be/zawD9-77Oxs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Story
Atlas is a very energetic and playful dog once he gets to know you. He can take a little while to fully warm up to new people, but he is very friendly and social when meeting other dogs. We’ve noticed that Atlas doesn’t handle change very well and needs some extra time and patience when adjusting to new people and environments. We believe Atlas experiences some anxiety, and we’ve been working with him to help him feel more comfortable around others, especially in our large family. He is crate trained, although his anxiety tends to be most noticeable when he is in his crate. Atlas isn’t particularly food-motivated, but he absolutely thrives when it comes to play. He knows basic commands and does well with them when he is calm and fully focused on you. Overall, Atlas is a sweet, playful dog who does best with patience, consistency, and time to build trust. We would love for him to find a home with a lot of patience and time to give him the proper attention he deserves.
