Story
Stella (still available!) is a 4.5yr female Border Collie ~40lbs, chipped, fixed, crate trained. She's seeking a very experienced human who loves a pup project! Stella is a very fun & active yet pup. She is sensitive, thrives in a structured, calm, ADULT ONLY home. She would enjoy a human who works from home or someone who has experience in behavioral training! Prefer a home with no chaos/loud noises. She's independent, preferring play time over cuddles(though she does love to give kisses to those she loves!). She can get anxious and wants to take control in some situations. Her temporary foster & her trainer have been working with her anxiety/aggression and seeing great progress! With lots of energy, she seeks a human who loves to run, walk, and play a LOT. She LOVES trick training, and learns games quickly! Cats might be ok (she's learning now), no dogs(she's learning now to interact more appropriately with dogs!), NO kids (they stress her too much). Foster to adopt can be an option.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. hopefully coming this week on transport to Tumwater, WA Mindy is 46# and 1 yr old (DOB 11/3/2024). We feel there is some Hound in her and possibly Smooth Hair Border Collie. If you look up the "Smooth Hair Border Collie" she looks a lot like that but she is bigger so the Hound would explain that. “The Smooth Hair Collie is a short-coated version of the Rough Collie, originally developed for herding in Scotland. They are known for their intelligence, sociable nature, and require regular exercise to stay healthy and happy. Usually 20-22" and 30-44#s.” Mindy is 46#...and probably more like 26" tall at the shoulder. Mindy loves to play with people and dogs. She loves playing in water… she jumps into the kid pool and lays down to enjoy the cool water (Texas gets fairly hot even in Nov). She will share a toy or stick in order to play with another dog. She is not dominant but will correct other dogs who become bullish with a short bark and the look on her face…but never aggression. She is tolerant of cats but if the cat runs the chase is on. Doing well on the leash; crate trained; potty trained. She has her moments of being a couch potato during restful times. Mindy will be good with a family and in the community. I have attached a picture of both the rough coat and the smooth hair border collies. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Jack is a male Shepherd mix, about 4 yrs old (est DOB 7/23/2021). He weighs 45#. He is a good dog... no aggression but also no training. He has been getting some leash training of which he's doing very well. JACK needs to have a companion to take him everywhere, go on hikes, and maybe even swimming. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He does need daily exercise but I’m sure he will calm down after he knows he’s in a forever home and gets his love and exercise every day. He deserves a second chance…he needs someone who believes in him! Check our You Tube Video: https://youtu.be/zawD9-77Oxs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Chewy is very hyper but well behaved. He knows how to sit, shake, lay down, kennel and couch. He loves bones, fetch and treats. Hes a very loveable dog however we just dont have the room for him in our apartment which is why we're rehoming him because we feel so bad. He wants to run and play fetch. Hes very good at hearding... we only know that because he loves to heard our trouble maker child to her room lol. He hasnt found interest in snuggling yet but hes only 1 year and almost 4 months and hes been around alot of noise and kids. With the right home and time he will be a great dog for the family. Hes very protective of his loved ones and wants to snuggle where he feels comfort.
