APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Whitney a possibly a Border Collie mixed with Red Heeler. DOB 2/1/26; currently about 30# and will probably get to be 45-50#s, best guess. She is the most adorable puppy EVER! She is enthusiastic & confident; curious & playful; and very smart. She has almost mastered walking on a leash and she is good in her crate. She loves car rides. She is mostly quiet in the kennel, except when she needs to do her business! She loves people and dogs of All sizes and ages. Because she is young, we don’t recommend very young children be around her. In her puppy playfulness, she would probably knock the little ones down. Curious, interested in cats but not aggressive. Loves treats so she will be easy to train. She plays with the rope toy or stick with you, but she does not return it yet. She definitely acts goofy when she plays but also loves to snuggle in your lap. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Jack is a male Shepherd mix, about 5 yrs old. He weighs 45#. He is a good dog... no aggression but also no training. He has been getting some leash training of which he's doing very well. This guy needs to have a companion to take him everywhere, go on hikes, and maybe even swimming. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He does need daily exercise but I’m sure he will calm down after he knows he’s in a forever home and gets his love and exercise every day. He deserves a second chance…he needs someone who believes in him! Check our You Tube Video: https://youtu.be/zawD9-77Oxs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Story
Think you’re smart? Meet Smarter Than A Fifth Grader! This black-and-white Border Collie-type beauty may be around 8 years old, but she’s still got plenty of brains, charm, and personality to share. Weighing in at 51 pounds, Smarter Than A Fifth Grader is a friendly, social girl who enjoys meeting new people and making fast friends wherever she goes. She already knows a few commands and is eager to show off her impressive canine IQ—after all, she has a reputation to maintain! Like many clever Border Collie types, she`ll thrive in a home that gives her a job to do, whether that`s learning new tricks, solving puzzle toys, participating in dog sports, or simply having fun training sessions with her favorite people. One of her favorite `assignments` is playing fetch—she`s always happy to chase a ball and would love a family that shares her enthusiasm for a good game. Smarter Than A Fifth Grader has reached that wonderful stage in life where she’s past the puppy chaos but still ready for adventures, walks, and plenty of mental enrichment. She may not be the best fit for a home with other dogs, and because of her active, intelligent nature, she`d likely do best with older kids who can respect her space and enjoy interacting with her. With her sweet personality, sharp mind, and lovable spirit, this clever girl is sure to earn top marks in the right home. No pop quiz required—choosing Smarter Than A Fifth Grader is an easy A+! The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.

Story
Australian Shepherd/ Lab is the closest breed we can guess on her. Sorry we don't have good photos of sweet Sally. She was in foster in Texas since a puppy! She is totally trained with playing with a playgroup of dogs several times/day. Finally her turn at about 2 years to be adopted. ! House and potty trained!!! woof woof. Affectionate sweet loving dog. She is a little shy at first, but opens up quickly. Has done great with other all other dogs even young puppies when done with proper introductions. She is with a rescue that is friends of Lufkin TX Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter friends. loving sweet sweet pup t is nearly impossible to say the breeds but her brother did have some Great Pyrenees in his DNA test. All of her siblings were adopted as puppies, its long been Sally's time to find her FOREVER home. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ If interested we would have you speak with her rescuer. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!

Story
Gus and his two siblings are at Kurth Memorial Shelter in Lufkin, TX. Shaynesrescue.com gets in Kurth Memorial dogs to rehome in the Pacific Northwest. We have very few fosters:(, hence we have to 'pre adopt' some. Puppies are available to pre adopt (many of their dogs/puppies are not just Gus and his two siblings). We only transport when they are fully vaccinated (for young puppies that is three rounds of dhhp shots, bordatella, rabies, microchipped, spay/neuter, health certificates, and transport ALL is paid for by Shayne's Fosters aka shaynesrescue.com, helping to save lives. Hence, Gus would NOT transport until a minimum of 3 months of age , at least a week after his 3rd dhhp shot. To apply to adopt shaynesrescue.com Yes, the amazing volunteer in Texas Diane will of course call and speak to anyone who applies so you can ask questions, concerns etc and Ellen who is shaynesrescue.com will call you as well after you apply. Typically we do not recommend a 'herding breed dog' with young children, unless the adult(s) are super experienced with herding breeds (they 'herd'!) thank you!~

Story
Meet Boomer! In foster in the Seattle, WA area. Some You tubes of Boomer https://youtu.be/-QfDf1hm-V8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6RzYDbzfUQ Boomer is a gorgeous approximately 1-year-old Red Heeler (maybe purebred, maybe mix) who is ready to bounce right into his forever home (and onto your blanket). Approx 31 pounds. Toddler-Tested & Approved Boomer is an absolute rockstar with young kids. He currently lives with an 18-month-old toddler and handles the everyday chaos with unbelievable grace. Even when a tumbling toddler accidentally lands right on top of him, Boomer doesn't even bat an eye, just total patience and zero negative reaction. He is gentle, sweet, and loves being part of the family action. Smart, Polite & Cozy House Trained: 100% potty trained and reliable! Smart Cookie: He already knows "sit," "drop it," and "leave it." Walking Skills: Currently practicing his leash manners (hes a fast learner!). Affection Level: 11/10. He is a total lovebug who curls up in bed with you for maximum cozy vibes at night. His Ideal Doggy Match Boomer believes everyone is his new best friend. Because his enthusiasm for playtime is dialed all the way up, he would do best: With an active playmate: Another dog who loves to wrestle, chase, and keep up with high-energy fun. As an only dog: Where he can soak up all your attention himself! Note: He might be a little too much "in your face" for a chill or senior dog who prefers their personal space! He also was cat tested in Texas and passed but that was several weeks ago and things can and do change The Ultimate "Bonus Package" Included! Boomer is coming fully loaded for his new family! He will bring along: 1 full year of flea, tick, and heartworm preventative medication His harness His collar A stash of his favorite toys Boomer is the total package—smart, patient, loving, and full of life. If youre ready for a loyal partner who doubles as a night-time warming blanket, Boomer is your guy! In Texas he did well on his cat test, the foster does not have a cat in WA. Saved from Kurth Memorial Shelter in Lufkin, Texas. He is nuetered, chipped, up to date on shots, etc. .
