Hi, my name is Panda and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Mar 08, 2025. Learning new tricks and exercising my brain are my absolute favorite things to do! Story
I've had Curtis for 3 years. Rehoming him is my absolute last resort because he is a dog that needs a home with patience and the willingness to work with him. He's a sweet boy and loves pets and cuddles, but when I got him at a year old, he had been in 6 different homes. He is a traumatized dog that needs lots of time and patience to be comfortable with a new owner. He's great with other dogs of all sizes, he's been around my 9 y/o sister and her friends but had given warning growls towards her friends, so I'm not sure about how he is with certain kids. He's food aggressive towards other dogs, it'll take him time to be comfortable with people. Potty and kennel trained. He's fine on a leash, but pulls. Not reactive towards other dogs on a walk, but I make sure to keep him far away just in case. He's an amazing friend and he's such a character. He's a cutely awkward and funny guy. I just want to find a family willing to help him.

Story
Wonderful 2 year old Bordoodle, so affectionate, just wants love and attention! He is cuddly, playful, energetic, and highly intelligent. We have been fostering him since his owner died but it’s time for his forever home (we love him so much but we just have too many animals). He is a really good boy but he needs attention or he will steal your socks to let you know he’s being neglected. That’s the extent, he is not destructive. He is very healthy, loves to play with our other dogs, respects our house bunnies, and could learn to be a working farm dog with some training (we have chickens). Great family dog or companion for anyone willing to give him love and attention. We want him to go to a stable home where he gets lots of love and exercise, please understand we will be selective and take our time if necessary to find the right situation for him.

Story
Meet Ziggy! This handsome boy is just over a year old and is likely a Lab/Border Collie mix, bringing together the best traits of both breeds—intelligence, loyalty, and a playful spirit. Rescued from Okanogan County, Ziggy is now looking for a loving home where he can truly thrive. Neutered and fully up to date on vaccines, Ziggy is ready to start his next chapter. He does well with other dogs and has a friendly, medium-energy personality—happy to join in on playtime but also content to relax with his people. Like many rescues, he’ll need a little guidance as he settles into a home environment, but with patience and love, he’ll be the perfect companion. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy with a big heart, Ziggy might just be your perfect match!

Story
Theodore is a snugly gold and white purebred border collie, almost 1 year old. I got him from a breeder in Enumclaw at 4 months. He is not chipped or neutered yet, but is in excellent health. He has finished a multiweek obedience training course at Argus Ranch. Some unforeseen circumstances require that I sell my home, and I believe I will be unlikely to find the time or a property that is adequate for him. Due to his age, breed, and temperament he has very specific needs: REQUIRED CRITERIA: -40 minute drive or less from Puyallup and will allow me to visit him. -No young children. -Familiarity with working dogs, preferably border collies. -Comfortable working with his specific behavioral issues (will give all details; mostly involves possessiveness of home and bonded people) -At least 0.5 acre property with a fully fenced area, preferably in a rural area -Will cuddle him! HIGHLY PREFERRED: Has another high energy dog for Theo to play with. Contact me if you'd like to meet Theo! :)

Needing to rehome Dexter. My friend took him in from another family and then had to leave the state, thus leaving Dexter with me. He is very sweet, he loves playing fetch and being near anybody. He is the happiest dog you can ever meet. Very timid but also has lots of energy. Very good in the car. He will make a great companion to anyone.

Story
Charger was saved in TX and we have no foster for him in the PNW:( Charger is almost 2 years old. He was neutered when he came into rescue. He is very dog and human friendly. Active when released from kennel but calms down after tiring out. Dog and people friendly. Likely not good with cats but we do not know. All dogs come with a 5 day trial period. Please ask us how that works. He can be transported to the PNW (and other places in the US) https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ Charger is not physically at Pet Central SATX rescue but is with a person who fosters for this rescue and they would come through this rescue as she has met Charger.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster in Bothell, WA RONNIE is an unusual Blue Heeler mix female. She is about 1 ½ yrs old (DOB 6/1/23). She is outgoing and happy while also a bit shy and reserved. She loves to play with other dogs. She is good with my cats … not doing anything, just sniffing. Of course, my cats like to tell the dogs where to go… :). She walks easily on a leash and rides well in the car. She weighs 44#s. She would be a great companion dog for another dog…and for an older person/couple that likes to throw the ball and take long walks. She would be good with a child if they could be gentle. We are working on house training. Ronnie was found out on the street…scared, skinny, and in need of help. A foster took her in and gave her good food, attention, and love. She was scared at first with the new people around her but now she loves to be petted and hugged. Check our YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/PFsQf0FE41I Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com and give us your phone number too with good times to return the call! You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
In foster in Olympia, WA https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ Please apply to adopt. This works with all the dogs posted the above link to apply to adopt. ARIEL is a 33# Shepherd? type mix. Maybe she has any of these in her? Schipperke and/or Pomeranian and/or Shiba Inu and /or Australian Kelpie? She certainly looks like she does! We do not know! She is adorable and looks like a darker longer legged fox in many ways. She is for us, super quiet, will potty on the leash and YES potty trained!. However, she is shy at first, so hopefully a quieter home, that is suburban or rural. At this time we cannot YET see her with younger children (too noisy) or in an apartment in a noisy place because she is still shy. Maybe a quieter apartment NOT surrounded by a lot of noise could work for her? In time we are certain she will blossom and come into her own and act like any other dog. It just takes time, love, patience and appropriate socialization. DOB 1/1/24. That is an estimate. She was found as a stray in San Antonio, Texas. Texas has MILLIONS and MILLIONS of strays :( She is active and happy weighing only 33#. She needs loving and some training although she has never had any potty accident in her foster home in Olympia, WA! . She is smart and happy to meet people. She is used to being in the house and did great with the other dogs in rescue. . She also left the cats alone when she was in rescue in TX… but if they ran I’m sure she would chase. She seems happy to see all people, though. She's doing great with her leash training. Ariel likely could keep up with going on hikes and roughing it on a camping trip. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
