APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. In foster near Lacey, WA Jackson is possibly a Border Collie mix… Estimated DOB 1/1/24. He weighs about 45# and is full grown. He is kennel trained and leash trained. He is a little shy at first meeting but warms up quickly. He loves people and attention. I have not had him around small children… he would need to be tested but he does have a very sweet personality. He is in foster with other dogs and two cats. He is crate trained and leash trained. He would do as an “only” dog but a friend to play with is great too. He is VERY SMART!!! Here is another u tube of Jackson with Kona https://youtube.com/shorts/mVmS1duWyBY?feature=share Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives

“Action JAXson “is looking for an adventure partner. Might that be you? Meet JAX, a 3.5 year-old, 55 pound, male border collie mix. JAX is the complete package for the right person or active family. He is smart, handsome, walks well on a leash, very responsive to training, adventurous, and fun! JAX is looking for a very active home that will give him all the love and attention he needs. He would love an adopter, a couple, or a family that will help him lose 5-7 pounds by jogging, hiking, and exploring the world. Beau is super sweet and loving, he loves attention and human contact. He has a lot of energy but can also just chill and relax, especially if he’s able to sit or lay next to you. He wants to be involved with any activity his person is doing and is a very smart dog. He is house trained and very good about letting you know he needs to go outside. He was left alone a lot before coming to us so he really likes people around. He is crate trained and sleeps great in his crate all night. He comes with a crate, some toys, collar, leash, food, and some treats.

Story
Meet Palermo, a gentle black and white border collie mix with a heart full of quiet hope. She`s a shy soul who`s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Palermo hasn’t had much stability in her life, and the basics—like walking on a leash or exploring new spaces—are still a little overwhelming for her. Right now, she relies on the people she trusts to carry her through those scary moments, both literally and emotionally. But here’s the magic of Palermo: beneath that timid exterior is a truly sweet and sensitive dog, just waiting for someone to show her patience, kindness, and consistency. She doesn’t need perfection—she needs calm voices, soft hands, and a heart that’s willing to move at her pace. Palermo is not the dog for someone looking for instant results or high-energy adventures. But if you’re someone who finds beauty in small victories—a gentle tail wag, a curious sniff, a quiet moment of connection—Palermo will be the most rewarding companion you could ask for. She may not be ready to take on the world just yet, but with the right person by her side, Palermo has every chance to bloom. Are you the steady, loving heart she’s been waiting for?The dog adoption fee is $90. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.
