Story
Flynn is a funny, loving, obedient boy who loves to learn new tasks, fetch balls, swim, hike, and chew his antler. He’s got lots of border collie energy and needs room to run. We’re moving from a 2 acre property to an urban home and don’t think that will be the best environment for our Flynnie boy. He would love to be a family dog with teenagers, or a hiking/biking buddy for an active person or couple. He tends to be alpha with other dogs but is not reactive on or off leash. Great recall!

Story
Minka was born July 18th 2022, she is a very loving dog who loves to cuddle and be by her owners side. She gets along with cats and children just fine, dogs she is okay with but has strong herding instincts towards some since she is a herding breed, which could lead to relationship issues between the dogs. She goes on walks, hikes, car rides, and loves puzzles. She is food motivated which helps in training. She has lived with 2 other dogs and 4 cats since she was 8 weeks old, and herding instincts are only triggered with one of the two dogs. We are trying to find Minka a home that won't trigger her instincts to herd, or a home that gives her the freedom to use those instincts freely, such as a farm or property with a job for her to do. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to inquire.

Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Teddy is a very loving sweet dog. 3 years old who is house trained and crate trained. He is very timid and mellow. The best environment for him would be a calm and relaxing one. Teddy hasn’t had a lot of experience with other dogs/ animals which can be a little stressful for him at times. If you’re constantly on the go he’s not the right dog for you. He needs someone who will chill out with him and be around him. Shots are all up to date. I would keep him if I could but my life has recently become very hectic and it’s unfair for me to keep him when I can’t be accommodating to his needs. The adoption fee is high because I need to weed out the bad apples. I want him to go to a person/family who actually wants him and will continue to treat him well. He’s been my best friend for 3 years and I want to find him the best home possible.

Story
Energetic, social, super smart François was found roaming around in a poor neighborhood of Guadalajara where we think he may have been abandoned. Fortunately a good lady rescued him, but couldn't keep him and asked for our rescue partner's help. He has been in their care since February and is neutered, UTD and ready for a home in Washington! He responds to positive training and he knows the command sit.  Adoption $500 northwestwagrescue.org ##1716358##

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. MAGGIE is very playful but a little reserved. She likes to let her brother go first and get his approval. She is very sweet and loves affection. She is crate trained and almost house trained. She makes it through the night and the foster lets her out asap in the AM and she runs out quickly. She and her brother, Sonny, love to play in the baby pool and splash water. Even though the vet guesses that they are part Border Collie... there has got to be some Lab because of their love of water. The foster says they are very smart...learn quickly...very affectionate. They love to play with the other dogs in the family...for hours! DOB: 1/22/23. We expect Maggie to get to be about 55#s when grown. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
