A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there. Meet Hamlet Hamlet is an approximately 7-month-old Border Collie mix and the brother of Romeo who just came up on our 2/14/26 transport. He has been waiting far too long at the kill shelter for his chance at a forever home. Hamlet is a sweet, friendly, and happy boy who loves people and does well with other dogs. He is so thankful for any attention he can get at the shelter and would love a family of his own. Like many young pups, Hamlet will need guidance with potty training, crate training, and leash manners, but he is young, adaptable, and eager to learn. His playful and affectionate personality makes him a wonderful companion for the right family. You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. Randomly goes for a swim in the pond. Affectionate but also independent. Currently about 30 lbs. Someone will be very lucky to bring her into their family. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Story

Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below.
