A committed home is required for him to make the trip north, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there for him. Meet Beckett Beckett was found as a terrified stray in rural Georgia alongside his two siblings. The puppies were so scared that they needed to be safely caught using a live trap before being brought to the shelter. Since arriving at the shelter, Beckett has made huge progress. While understandably fearful at first, he has slowly started learning that people can be kind and safe. With time, patience, and consistency, Beckett has truly started to come out of his shell and show what a sweet and friendly dog he really is. He is described as a very nice boy who continues getting better and more comfortable every day. Because Beckett’s background is unknown, his future family should expect to help him with the basics, including potty training, crate training, and leash manners. He may not have had much structure or positive exposure in his early life, so he will benefit from a patient home willing to help him continue building confidence. Beckett is dog friendly. He has not yet been tested with cats or kids. Age: 8–10 months Gender: Male Weight: Approximately 40 lbs Breed: Border Collie/Retriever Mix (best guess) Spayed/Neutered: Scheduled Available: 5/29 Potty Trained: Unsure Crate Trained: Unsure Leash Manners: Working on it Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Not tested Beckett is ready to keep moving forward and would love a foster or adoptive home to help make that happen. If you’re able to foster or adopt Beckett, please apply today. Apply at: www.muttlife.org __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: For dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too! **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**

A committed home is needed for Bailey to make the trip north and begin a new life outside the shelter. Meet Bailey Bailey was found as a stray in rural Georgia alongside his two siblings after spending time surviving on their own. The trio was extremely fearful and had to be safely caught using a live trap before they could be brought to safety. Since arriving at the shelter, Bailey has been slowly adjusting to shelter life and making progress each day. While he was initially very scared and unsure of people, he has started learning that human interaction can be positive and safe. Bailey is continuing to come out of his shell and has shown himself to be a sweet dog who simply needs time, patience, and understanding. As with many dogs coming from uncertain backgrounds, Bailey will likely need continued help with the basics of home life, including potty training, crate training, and leash manners. Because his history is unknown, Bailey may still be learning many firsts, but with a supportive family, he has so much potential to thrive. Bailey is dog friendly and would likely do well in a home that can provide routine, structure, and encouragement as he builds confidence. He has not yet been tested with cats or children. Bailey may need some extra TLC as he settles in, but he is a nice young dog who deserves the opportunity to finally feel safe and loved. Story
This sweet litter came to us from a rural shelter in Mississippi. They are all so sweet and well-socialized and would make a great addition to any family. They appear to be terrier/border collie mixes, and are the happiest puppies you will find! They are crate trained and don’t make a peep all night. They have also mastered the doggy door in their foster home. A few key notes about our Rescue… 1. All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee. 2. No monies exchange hands until the pet has arrived 3. Once adopted, our pets can be transported to Denver, Colorado, the Midwest and all of the north eastern states. 4. We have a Facebook page and an Instagram page. You are welcome to visit to see some of our newly adoptive families. 5. We have been rescuing and transporting pets for 15 years. Transport is an additional $185
