Story
**Hi, I'm Autoclave!** I'm a 1.5-year-old, 45-pound Border Collie mix who's just beginning my journey with Rescue Gang. I'm a very friendly, happy-go-lucky guy who loves making new friends and enjoys playing with other dogs. My foster family is still getting to know me, but I've already shown that I have a fun-loving personality and a sweet nature. As I settle in, we'll learn even more about me, but if you're looking for a cheerful companion who's always ready for fun, I just might be your perfect match!Since Rescue Gang is a foster-based rescue, most of us live in private homes. That means you’ll need an approved application to chat with my foster and learn more about me.If you’re interested, email adopt@rescuegang.org to apply to ask questions. I can’t wait to meet my future family!

Story
About Me: Name: Bodie Breed (or best guess): Possibly Border Collie/Basset Approximate Age: 11 yr Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 30 lb Adoption Fee: $395 Requirements: Loving family, only dog  Why In Rescue: Owner Surrender Profile:   Bodie lost his home due to his owner's health.  He is a happy, loving guy who would prefer to be the only dog.  He enjoys walks with the volunteers.  He is an older guy who appreciates gentle touches.  Because of his age, we feel he would be happiest with no children or only older children in the home.  He will be getting a dental and senior bloodwork prior to being adopted, but you can apply for him now.  He is looking forward to being part of a family again.  If interested in this nice boy, please fill out the pre-adoption application. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS July 23, 2026, 3:33 pm

Story
Arwen is a beagle border collie mix. She was born on September 11, 2018. She has lived in a home with children and 1 other dog of similar size. She is a kind, loving dog who needs to be in a home that can provide her the attention she craves. A big yard would best as well. Arwen is best suited in a home with no other dogs as she does not always understand the difference between playing and fighting. This past year she has also developed some issues with walking on her hind legs. We are moving and can unfortunately no longer keep her.

Story
EVERY PRINCESS DESERVES A FAIRY TALE ENDING. Are you ready to welcome Princess, a 1 yr old diabetic dog, into your heart and home? Individuals with medical, veterinary or T1D experience are encouraged to apply. But if you don't have experience, that's okay too! We will teach you! 😊 Princess is a young dog with an old soul and she'll make a wonderful, goofy, loyal companion.🩷 We are looking for a special family to adopt Princess. Our goal is to make this a smooth transition and we are here to support you with training and $200 in donated diabetic supplies. Princess is an (almost) one-year-old, spayed 35 pound mixed breed. We don't know her breeds but we think she looks like a kelpie or rat terrier mix. Princess was abandoned by her owner when she became critically ill. She then traveled between multiple facilities and states before settling into her long-term Wisconsin foster home. Her foster family is very familiar with type 1 diabetes and is ready to share their knowledge with you. They are committed to being a long-term resource for any local adopter, including advising on care and boarding for vacations. Princess is a gem; she is a happy thriving girl who enjoys neighborhood walks, playing with her dog friends and chewing on stuffies. She is house and crate trained. Gentle on leash. Quiet. Loves car rides. She is best matched in a routine-oriented home, with adults or teen children. She is great with calm dogs and lives with cats. Princess receives daily Insulin shots, eats a set diet and requires monitoring of her blood glucose levels. Her new owners will need to invest in her ongoing care. We are accepting applications to adopt Princess and we hope you'll consider making a difference in this special girl's life. She is worth the investment and she'll pay you back by following you around the house, falling asleep with her head on your shoulder and snoring in your ear. She also never misses a chance to show you her pearly white teeth. With proper blood sugar management and diet, she should live a normal and happy life! Please consider applying or spreading the word! We know her people are out there! OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS WILL HAPPILY BE CONSIDERED FOR A WELL-MATCHED FAMILY WILLING TO TRAVEL.
