Story

Carly is a wonderful dog who is extremely smart and well tuned to her humans' emotions. She loves giving and receiving affection, and will often reach up and give you hugs. She is great with dogs her own size or larger, but I would not recommend her to be in the same household with cats or dogs under 30 lbs. She knows basic commands and is easily trained. She's great on a leash. Carly wants to be with her humans all the time, unless it's to play with her dog friends! She'd happily share her home with dogs her own size or larger, though I'm sure she'd have no problem being the center of attention as well! We are looking to rehome her because we are dealing with a huge loss in our household and she is very sensitive to our emotions. Carly deserves to be happy and stress-free, and we cannot give her that for the foreseeable future. She deserves to go to a home and family where she is safe, loved, happy and whole.

Meet our Boo baby who is full of life and energy, always looking for something to do or someone to hang out with! Boo is a new tripod, and he handled it so well, it honestly didn't really phase him because he is still a super-fast runner and as playful as ever. Boo has done well with dogs and loves to play but he needs to go with a dog who will be somewhat gentle with him, so he doesn't fall too often. This kid could honestly go in any home with any amount of people! He Is very social and adventurous. Boo is somewhat of a velcro dog and in the shelter has seemed to never want to be alone. In foster he has done amazing and has said to be a great house guest! Boo is in our Mutts with Manners in facility training program. This program to give our long-term residents more enrichment and a chance to truly shine outside the shelter—showing who they are beyond the cards that they have been dealt. Boo is a gold star meaning he knows basic commands, walks well on leash and has some extra tricks up his sleeve. This also means he has a 80% accuracy in performing them!

Kid-Friendly: Needs a home with kids over 12 years --============================== Bella Vida is looking for her perfect family! She is a 3 or 4 year old Bulldog mix weighing about 85-90 lbs. This silly girl ate a sock and her previous owner could not afford the surgery. C2CND stepped in and rescued her. She’s a high energy dog who would do best with a fence and a privacy fence would be even better. She will bark when she needs to go outside. Bella is crate and potty trained. She is a very affectionate dog once she warms up to you and really needs a patient, assertive owner who will work with her. She also needs an active family who exercises her frequently. Her foster notices that Bella’s behavior is heavily influenced by the amount of exercise/activity she receives and her anxiety levels. Bella would fetch a ball for hours if you let her. She does go on walks but sometimes gets distracted. She loves to snuggle and be near her human. She also likes to chew on bones (Benebones seems to be her favorite). Her foster says Bella is a dominant personality who is dog selective and dog aggressive. Bella is still working on her leash skills, while she does well on the leash most of the time, she can be easily distracted. Slow introductions are best. Bella would fit best with a family with teenagers or no young kids and as the only dog. Jade is an 8 year old boxer mix. I got her from a shelter 6 years ago. She loves loves loves the company of humans. Great with kids of all ages. She loves being outside, to any potential adopters, I’d recommend a backyard or at least someone active. She’s a great hiking buddy. Name: Kai Breed: American Bully Mix Age: Around 4 years old Background: Kai was surrendered by his owner who could no longer provide for him. Personality: Kai is a muscular, beefy boy that likes to have fun. He is energetic and athletic. He loves going for walks and playing (and he is surprisingly very calm and easy to walk). He has adorable butt wiggles and will twirl in your arms when he's happy. He absolutely loves affection and will lean on you for pets and hangout with you on the couch. He can get excited when he initially sees you, but he is smart and food-motivated which makes training easier. He is already neutered, up to date on shots, and house trained. He knows "sit" and takes treats very gently. He is a big boy who sometimes can't control his excitement, so he'd likely do better in a home without small children. Ideal Home: He would likely not make a good apartment dog, as he loves to run and play. He appears dog-friendly and seems interested in cats, but doesn't lunge or display aggressive behavior towards them. Final Thoughts: Kai is a handsome, big guy with a sweet face and heartfelt eyes. He would do great with someone willing to exercise him. His tail is always wagging and he would love to have a companion! Note: Kai is heartworm positive and is completing a round of antibiotics. After this, he will take heart worm prevention each month which is something we highly recommend for all dogs, not just HW+ ones.
