Story
Hello there! My name is Kayak, and I am so excited to find my forever home. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but please don't let that fool you-once I get to know you, I am one of the sweetest and most loving companions you could ever wish for. My heart is full of love, and I can't wait to share it with my new family. I already know how to sit, which is just one of my many charms! I'm a quick learner and would love to continue training with you. It's a great way for us to bond and for me to show off how smart I can be. I do require a meet and greet with any other dogs you might have at home. I want to make sure we all get along and can become the best of friends. If you're looking for a gentle, loving, and loyal friend, I'm your guy. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to find a family who will love me just as much in return. Come meet me, and let's start our new adventure together!

Story
Breed: Boxer / American Bulldog? maybe? Size: Large; currently 70+ lbs Estimated Birthday: 3/2/2020 House-Trained: Yes ---------- Crate-Trained: Yes, and kennels on command! Kid-Friendly: Needs a home with kids over 12 years This sweet girl came to the rescue in need of bowel obstruction surgery after she thought a sock was a yummy snack. She made it through surgery and has been recovering nicely! Bella Vida is quite shy and a bit hesitant to open up to new people, so she is looking for a patient family that will give her time and let her know she is safe. Bella Vida is selective with her dog friends and may do better with male dogs. She is looking for a house with no small children and would thrive with an active family with older kids. Bella Vida loves to go on daily walks and will play fetch for hours! She will always follow up these play sessions with a cuddle session on the couch. She loves deconstructing stuffed toys and sometimes her bedding. We would recommend caution in allowing Bella Vida unsupervised access to toys due to her recent sock-eating debacle. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Bella Vida is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Well hello MINNIE! Quick Facts: Breed: Boxer X Age: 7-8 years old (as of 2/2024) Weight: Around 50# House/Crate Trained: Yes & Yes! This sweet soul was an owner surrender to a shelter, severely underweight at a mere 30#. As a result, Minnie was diagnosed with EPI - exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, and will need to eat dog food for sensitive stomachs, sprinkled with an enzyme powder that allows her body to absorb and digest the food she's eating. She LOVES to run and play with the other dogs in her foster home. She has the world's best zoomies & will wrestle until her heart's content, BUT Minnie quickly falls victim to rainy days and nights, turning into a couch potato at the first sign of precipitation or at sundown, whichever comes first. She will curl up on the couch next to her favorite person and chew on a bone/toy while binging your favorite shows. She is so incredibly loving and so so happy. This girl enjoys long walks or car rides that lead to the park or snacks. But one thing Minnie does NOT enjoy is the thought of sharing her snacks or food (Same, Minnie, same). While Minnie learns that food & snacks are now an unlimited resource, she will need to be fed separately & given treats separately from other animals. She can be a little protective of her bones when she's trying to relax, but has a tendency to only boss around the submissive ones in the house, leaving her head honcho foster brother out of the warnings. Minnie walks well on a leash, but pulls when she gets excited & will need continued training. She is house trained & crate trained, relaxing in there while her foster mom is out of the house. She has not been cat or kid tested. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Minnie is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Meet the Ted Lasso crew! Flo Collins Estimated Birthday: 11/30/2023 Size: we are guessing this crew will be over 50lbs. Breed: mixed breed This litter will be available March 2nd but we are accepting applications now. Flo Collins enjoys wrestling with her foster siblings and then curling up for a puppy pile nap. She enjoys nylabone edibles, mini milk bones, and nylabone puppy ring chews. They are the typical puppies, they eat a bunch, poop a lot, play hard and sleep even harder. They are all working on their house-training skills but you can expect to have to train the one you adopt! They are not fully crate-trained, but they are quick learners. Puppies require training, so these babies are no different. We highly encourage enrolling in a training program to teach your new addition good manners and to help him or her be well socialized. Please remember puppies demand a lot of your time and pets are a commitment for life. Please read the information below and if you have any further questions please EMAIL us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible! Story
In the heart of our shelter lies a quiet, tender soul named Bethany. With eyes that speak volumes of silent stories, she is a beautiful dog who carries a gentle demeanor and a heart full of love. Bethany is on a heartfelt journey to find a compassionate and patient forever home, one that will understand her needs and embrace her for the precious gem she is. Bethany is a bit of a shy girl, especially around men, and her ideal family would be one that can offer her the patience and space she needs to blossom. She has a lot of love to give and is just waiting for the right person to share it with. Her journey hasn't been the easiest, and as such, she dreams of a calm and understanding environment where she can slowly decompress, let down her guard, and truly come out of her shell. With time, Bethany promises to be not just a pet, but a loyal and loving companion, full of gratitude and affection. To the family that chooses to open their heart and home to Bethany: know that you are gaining a friend for life. She may take a little while to show her true colors, but once she does, you will see a world of love and loyalty. If you believe you can offer Bethany the patient, loving home she's been waiting for, please reach out to us. Let's give Bethany the happy beginning she has been waiting for.
