Story
Cornell was adopted as a puppy from the Athens, Ohio APL by my daughter when she was at student at Ohio University. He is approx 3 years old now. He spent over a year at OU and did a great job socially with all the students he came across. He is a very sweet dog and wants to please our family. Unfortunately there have been incidents where he has been startled or triggered to nip/bite. We put him through training which was successful but the nip/bite has still occurred infrequently. This makes it impossible for me to keep him due to our current home situation. We feel he would thrive in a loving home where he is not frequently startled or exposed to strangers and with an experienced dog owner who can manage such situations. Cornell gets along very well with people and dogs that he knows. I personally have two dogs and my fiancé has four and the seven of them have all melded together perfectly. I attached a photo of a typical evening when they are all together!

Story
Meet Paxton – Your Loyal Adventure Buddy with a Heart of Gold Paxton is a handsome 2½-year-old brindle Pit Bull/Boxer mix who has been patiently waiting for his forever home — and we can’t figure out why. He’s been in foster care for two years, and during that time he’s shown himself to be an incredibly loving, well-mannered, and loyal companion. Like many thoughtful dogs, Paxton can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he does, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. It doesn’t take long at all for him to relax and show just how loving and loyal he is. Paxton is off-leash trained using a remote collar and does beautifully with structure and guidance. He’s house trained, happily crates (his crate is his safe space), and settles well in the home. He’s the kind of dog who thrives on routine but also knows how to relax and just be near his people. One of Paxton’s favorite things? Other dogs. He absolutely loves canine companionship and would do best in a home with another friendly dog to play with and learn from. He shines in social settings and truly enjoys having a buddy by his side. Paxton is affectionate without being overbearing, playful without being wild, and attentive without being needy. He’s the type of dog who forms a deep bond and wants nothing more than to be part of a family that sees how special he is. He’s waited a long time for his person — or his people — and he’s more than ready to give his whole heart to a forever home. To apply, please fill out the application at www.cledogrescuecrew.com.

Story
Meet Jellybean the jolly goober. Jellybean is basically a big, curious, excited puppy packed into a handsome 65 lb brindle package. He is energetic, silly and playful and he would love to find a fun-loving home where he can keep his mind and body active!Jellybean is a friendly, enthusiastic dog who is stoked about life. He has a passion for play time and is a total hoot when he gets to romping around with a favorite toy. On walks, he`s so excited to get out and about that he often leaps for joy into the air. He has been practicing `four paws on the floor` with volunteers. He does not know his own size and strength all the time and can be a rowdy player, so he is looking for a home without young kids. Jellybean finds the kennel environment to be pretty overwhelming, but beneath the stress is a bright youngster who is ready to learn. He already knows how so to sit, and is working on progressing from there. He`s a big galoot with a big heart, and he`s waiting for someone to see all his potential! He`s total adventure bro, sidekick, playmate material. With other dogs he has been social and playful, with a more (perhaps surprising) dainty play style. Jellybean is estimated to be around a year old a year old and weighs 65 lbs. Visit www.tinyurl.com/meetacitydog to set up a meet!

Story
Meet Wendy ❤️ Wendy is a beautiful 3-year-old pit bull mix with the sweetest personality and a heart that absolutely loves people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily be by your side, Wendy may be your perfect match. This happy girl has a playful spirit, a huge smile, and the cutest expressive ears. She loves being around her humans and will gladly soak up all the attention you want to give her. Wendy is fully housebroken and does great in her crate. She settles in nicely and has good house manners, making her an easy addition to the right home. One thing that makes Wendy especially unique is that she doesn’t really bark at all. If you’re looking for a guard dog, she’s probably not your girl — but if you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion, she absolutely is. Wendy would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. She truly thrives when she can be the center of someone’s world. Because of her gentle nature with people, we believe she could do very well with children who are respectful and kind to animals. Wendy is ready to find a family who will give her the love and stability she deserves. In return, she’ll give you endless affection, loyalty, and that adorable happy grin every single day. Wendy is available for adoption through CLE Dog Rescue Crew If you’re interested in meeting Wendy or learning more about her, please reach out to the rescue or fill out an application or feel free to reach out directly to me too! Let’s help Wendy find the forever home she’s been waiting for! To apply, please fill out the application at www.cledogrescuecrew.com.
