My husband and I adopted Nash while living in Nashville in 2018. At the time we didn’t have any kids and could focus on Nash a lot more. He has been a great dog for 7 years and he is so patient and kind with our 2 year old. We are having another baby in January and it’s becoming too much with the dog to manage. We can’t have a fence at our home because of the HOA And Nash doesn’t get good exercise like he needs. Though it is a very hard decision because we love Nash deeply, We feel rehoming him is best for our family and for Nash at this time.

She's the epitome of a bouncy, happy Boxer, always ready to greet you with wagging tails and plenty of kisses. Despite her playful nature, Paisley is incredibly gentle and loves to crawl into your lap for some affectionate snuggles. Paisley came to Paws & Prayers after having a few litters of puppies. Initially, she was quite nervous around other dogs, likely due to her past experiences as a breeder. However, she has made remarkable progress in her foster home and now gets along well with the dogs she lives with. Despite this progress, Paisley would thrive best in a home where she can be the only dog, ensuring she gets all the love and attention she deserves. Paisley will eagerly chase after any birds, squirrels, or bunnies that cross her path. While she hasn't met house cats yet, we believe she may be inclined to chase them as well. Paisley previously lived with a 10-year-old child, so she has experience around children. She has done well with children she has met at events. Paisley is both housebroken and crate trained. However, she is a bit of a Houdini when it comes to escaping crates, so a secure crate is a must for this clever girl. Are you looking for a dog that is both cuddly and smart? Meet Cooper! He is so smart, that his foster calls him Dr. Cooper! He learns really fast and knows lots of tricks, but he also pays attention and tries to figure out how to get along in whatever environment he lives in. The years he spent in the shelter were very stressful for him, but he has been flourishing in his foster home. In his foster home, he lives with an older female dog and he has already learned to hang out calmly with her, even though he is an energetic boy. At home Cooper play's a treat-sharing game, first one treat for his foster sister and then one for him, and he very studiously avoids looking at her treat and waits for his! Cooper will do anything for food, and that includes laying patiently outside the kitchen while dinner is prepared, because he knows if he is good he will get a snack. Some of his favorite snacks are a few tasty veggies like cucumber, broccoli, lettuce, and carrots!During the day, he sleeps in his crate and is a great work from home buddy. He also knows that when it's time to leave he runs into the crate and sits waiting for his stuffed, frozen Kong. He also loves to play with his squeaky toy, and loves to play fetch or tug. Cooper is so smart that he has been training on buttons and has been communicating with his foster when he's hungry! When it is time for dinner, he runs to paw the button that speaks, "Wobble Kong" and he quickly gets his toy that is filled with his kibble. He enjoys clicker training and is good at it, and learns new tricks very quickly. His new trick that he's working on is learning to ride a skateboarding!Cooper absolutely loves his daily walks and is already trained on his easy walk harness. One of his other favorite activities is going for a car ride! Sometimes his foster will simply drive him around the block because he loves it so much. Cooper is as affectionate as a pittie and as intelligent as a border collie.
