He is energetic, silly and playful and he would love to find a fun-loving home where he can keep his mind and body active!Jellybean is a friendly, enthusiastic dog who is stoked about life. He has a passion for play time and is a total hoot when he gets to romping around with a favorite toy. On walks, he`s so excited to get out and about that he often leaps for joy into the air. He has been practicing `four paws on the floor` with volunteers. He does not know his own size and strength all the time and can be a rowdy player, so he is looking for a home without young kids. Jellybean finds the kennel environment to be pretty overwhelming, but beneath the stress is a bright youngster who is ready to learn. He already knows how so to sit, and is working on progressing from there. He`s a big galoot with a big heart, and he`s waiting for someone to see all his potential! Martha, my dear! Martha is a sweet, mild-mannered pup who can be summed up as a `very nice lady.` She is a lovable doll from her luxurious neck rolls to her wiggly nubbin tail. At around 5 years young, Martha has the mature spirit and manners of an adult but still enjoys getting in her daily activity - so she will be happy to join you as a snuggle buddy on the couch just as much as she`ll be glad to help you get your steps in on walks. Martha is curious and likes to explore on walks. She is a gentle, lower-key gal though can be strong on leash at times. She can also entertain herself by playing with a toy for a while, before she`s ready to chill out. Martha seems like a mama dog who has evidently had a few litters in her life, but she`s ready for her turn to be pampered, and she is probably missing the comforts of a home. Martha consistently keeps her kennel clean, so we believe she is housebroken. She also sits very well when asked, holding still as though she is a professional. She is overall a good listener, and loves her treats. With other dogs in play group, she was playful with a softer socialization style. She sometimes perks up around other dogs, and with her little tail stub wagging excitedly. Martha tested positive for heartworm when she arrived at the kennel, but she doesn`t want to let this stop her from living life to the fullest. Fortunately, heartworm is treatable and cost is covered thanks to Friends of CITY DOGS Cleveland. Bipsey was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy (HOD)—a condition affecting the long bones of growing dogs that causes swelling and inflammation. Thanks to the dedicated care of our medical team, his needs have been well managed, and he has recovered wonderfully from a necessary surgical procedure. Now, Bipsey is ready for the most important step in his journey: finding a patient forever home where he can relax, learn, and experience what it truly means to just be a beloved family pet.Don`t let his medical history fool you; while he does have some minor physical limitations, Bipsey is still a playful, social pup who can easily hold his own! His ideal home will include children aged 9 and older who can understand and respect his physical boundaries. When socializing with other animals, he tends to do best with dogs his size or larger, needs a home without cats, and is a fantastic car companion who rides beautifully. Bipsey is still actively working on his canine manners, so both his human adopters and any resident dogs will need to offer him a bit of patience as he learns.
