While he may be nervous at first he has learned that he needs to protect his heart but he realizes you are there for him he is a loyal companion. At 8 years old he is ready to start his life over and live out his golden years with his people. All Marshall needs is a home to feel safe and loved again. Marshall loves car rides. He will sit in the back seat and roll around then once the windows are down hes ready to feel the wind on his face and take in all the time he gets out of the shelter. He loves to take naps and will sneak in all the cuddles he can. Marshall has a very goofy personality and he shows us all the time. He loves to "talk" to us, roll around with his toys, and even show us his booty for some scratches. No senior deserves to spend their days in a shelter. Marshall's fee is waived and he is part of our REWARDS program this is to help special pups like Marshall find their forever home. ESTIMATED WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 65 pounds. Promise is devoted to her people and her house manners are absolutely perfect. She is fully house trained and does not destroy anything -- even her own toys. She loves to go for walks and would love a home with a fenced yard. She was in a foster home for a while, and they loved her but were no longer in a position to keep her. She loves affection but is not at all overbearing. We think she would lay down her life for her family – that is how strongly this dog loves! We named her Promise because we had no more room on the transport to bring her and we told her that we would come back for her. We kept our word - and we are so glad we did. She had puppies at some point before she was dumped at the poor rural shelter, but she did not come with any of her puppies. This alone must have been awful for her to be separated from her pups. We listed older children because she seems sometimes scared of small children. She would do best in a home without another dog so she can shine and absurd all get all the belly rubs! Did we tell you that she loves belly rubs! We have told Promise that life will be very different from this point on she will have a home with someone who will love her and be kind to her. Ferris is a sweet little dog with a lot of personality. Here is what our wonderful kennel manager shared with us about this cute fella: “Ferris is very clean in his kennel …. although he likes bringing leaves inside to play with! He always sits when told. He may vibrate while sitting, but he still does a very good sit! He enjoys playing with other dogs. His favorite toy is a 3 foot long braided rope toy. He tosses it up in the air & has a lot of fun with it. He recently learned how to play tug of war with the rope:) He’s still a bit green on a leash but I leash-walk him to the play yard most days so he’s getting much better. I think he’d like to have some young boys & girls to play with. Ferris loves taking long walks & going on new adventures. Milo is a unique dog. He NEVER barks. It's the quirkiest thing! He may whine when he is really ready to go out, otherwise he's so quiet! He is very mellow but gets excited to be outside! He loves walks (except in the rain, haha)! Very low maintenance and a great snuggler but is also perfectly content on his bed in his older age. Great with and very patient with babies & kids of all ages. Calm and tolerant. Great appetite & loves treats - especially peanut butter and chicken. Walks great on a leash, knows "sit", "stay", "paw", "high five", "down" and "crate" commands. Perfectly house trained and crate trained (loves his crate, it's his safe space). Lack of barking made him the perfect apartment living dog when we lived in one. Low brindle fur makes for easy grooming & his groomers always compliment how well he does for baths. He'll make a great companion for families, or older folks who just want a calm companion at home! Calm, sweet, gentle. He thrives with a yard but is content without one as well.
