Story
Meet Boo, an adorable 10-month-old Terrier/Boxer mix who is eagerly searching for his forever home! 😍With a sweet and funny personality, Boo is sure to bring endless joy and laughter into your life. Although Boo is deaf, this does not dampen his vibrant spirit; in fact, it only adds to his charm and resilience. He approaches life with a playful attitude, proving that nothing can hold him back. Boo communicates in his own unique ways, showcasing his goofy nature and ability to connect with those around him. He loves to engage with his environment, whether he’s chasing after toys, exploring new places, or curling up for some cozy cuddle time. His affectionate disposition makes him a fantastic companion who thrives on human interaction and companionship. Due to some separation anxiety, Boo would do best in a home where someone works remotely or spends a significant amount of time at home. This arrangement would allow him to receive the love and attention he craves. While he's not a fan of being crated, Boo is proudly house trained, making him an easy addition to any household. Boo is incredibly adaptable and gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him an ideal fit for families or anyone looking for a loving furry friend. His playful antics and loving nature create a warm atmosphere, ensuring that your home is filled with joy. Boo is searching for a loving family that will embrace him and help him flourish. He is neutered and UTD on vaccinations. If you’re ready to welcome a spirited and charming companion into your life, Boo could be the perfect match for you! Don’t miss the opportunity to make this delightful boy a cherished part of your family ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures New arrival! This puppy is 16 weeks old and 17 pounds. Donald is fostered with Toddlers, Cats and dogs and does amazing with all of them! He is very happy and sweet! Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. We do not know this litters parents therefore we are taking a guess of their breed simply from visual characteristics. These puppies are all playful and loving and enjoy cuddling with their foster family. They are babies; thus they are good with people of all ages, dogs and cats! The puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy has received vet care from a veterinarian, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy is $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Bennett! Bennett is about 1-2 years old and weighs 45 lbs. We think he looks like a Boxer/Hound Mix (just a guess). Bennett is a total sweetheart! He loves to cuddle and is such an easy-going boy. Bennett favorite thing is people. He wants a human to be by his Although he is great with the dogs and cat in his foster home, he is also confident enough to be a happy only dog in the home. Bennett is fostered with young children and is very sweet to him but does enjoy stealing their snacks. Bennett is housetrained and crate trained. He will need a home with a fenced yard as he is discrete and doesn't like to do his “business” on a leash. A small, fenced yard would be fine for his potty breaks. Bennett is medium energy dog. He is walking nicely on a leash but does get excited to see squirrel friends. Bennett would do best in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day as this is what he has in his foster home. Bennett is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Story
Nadya was found as a stray and brought into a rural shelter 2 days before giving birth. HART was able to get her and her babies into a foster home before the week was up! This girl is the sweetest you'll ever meet. All she wants is love and she has plenty to give. She was the best momma any puppy could ask for and wanted to care for them long after most dogs lose interest. Nadya now needs a family to take care of her. She is house and crate trained but doesn't get into anything when left home alone. She walks nicely on a leash although will get excited at an occasional squirrel. Thank you for your interest in Nadya! Kris is a volunteer favorite and even has his own HART fan club! If you have a rubber ball and will play fetch with him, he will be your BFF. In his foster home, he has a mellow and chill temperament and is happy with a comfy dog bed and a ball or bone to chew. He is not destructive and would love to be your couch buddy. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Kris loves to go for walks and can help you reach your 10,000 steps a day goal, especially during 'off peak' hours when there are not a lot of other dogs around. He loves to walk and is a good walker with a harness but would also really just love a a nice, fenced in backyard all to his own. Who is ready for a game of fetch? Adopt Kris! Story
We named her Promise because we had no more room on the transport to bring her and we told her that we would come back for her. We kept our word - and we are so glad we did. She had puppies at some point before she was dumped at the poor rural shelter, but she did not come with any of her puppies. This alone must have been awful for her to be separated from her pups. She was very shut down when we got her but now that she is in a foster home she is coming out of her shell and wants to play with the fosters other dogs. And she plays like a boxer which is so cute! Her foster mom says of Promise that 'she is super cute and friendly and just wants to be around me and my son.' She has very good house manners, ,does not chew, is great in a crate and is house broken. We listed older children because she seems scared of small children. We have told Promise that life will be very different from this point on she will have a home with someone who will love her and be kind to her. This is another promise we have made to this sweet dog. If you are interested in Promise, and helping us keep our promises to her, please let us know. Thank you for your interest in Promise! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=16323 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Promise, or to submit an online application. Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Holly is a cute, affectionate and active young dog, look at those ears !  She doesn't miss anything.  She loves people, but should ideally only live with adults and older children due to her activity level.   She is dog selective in a defensive way, she becomes uneasy when an unknown dog approaches.  Her new owner(s) would ideally be experienced with bully breed dogs. She is very active and will need an owner(s) who can give her enough exercise to wear her out, like a runner !!    She needs a securely fenced yard with a 6 ft privacy fence, as she likes to leap and jump in her play.  She is about 4 yrs old and 35 lbs, a great snuggle size; she's also good on a leash.  She's been fully vetted, including spay, vaccines and deworming.  She's very playful and loves her toys including old buckets, balls, kongs, antlers, beef bones and anything that can be thrown or she can kick around.  She's sweet and playful, and will make a great pet for the right person.    Please contact Dee at K9rescueva@gmail.com with any questions, and to meet this sweet girl.      **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. It was hard to get good pics because she just wanted to snuggle.  She carries her toys around thinking they are her babies.  Diamond is quiet and reserved.  She would be best as an only pet as she has tons of love to give her family. She’d be a great dog for a solo, retired or family.  She fits all bills!    Ask for her video.  She would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard.  She is people focused and is best not having to be leash-walked and can just relax in her kingdom with her people.  She is dog reactive a life where she can focus on her people and just give them all the love in the world for years to come.  She just needs a quiet home with her people and she will be the Diamond she was meant to be.
