We got Daisy from the shelter, she was previously abused and not taken care of. Daisy is a super sweet dog and it’s hard to let her go. We hope she can find a home that can fully give her all the attention she needs.

I'm at our Oglethorpe Street shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 71 Oglethorpe St. NW between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.Get the car and head to HRA now to meet Irv! This is one hunk of burning love! So handsome, sweet, and fun! Irv is one of those fab dogs that likes to sit next to you and get love and pettings. He is so relaxed and chill. Now, he still likes to play and get out for fun, sniffy walks but he seems to be one of those easy-going fellows. Irv was a stray and hard to believe, but no one claimed him! He's been so agreeable since he arrived, but we know he would love to be adopted soon and be an important member of a family. So, gun the engine and head to HRA to meet the marvelous Irv!Check out Irv's video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGq_S-mx-Sc

** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.** Firby is a social butterfly! And just a fantastic dog bursting with love and energy. He is just a joyful pooch who loves playing and seems to really like playing with other like-minded doggies. Firby has made so many gains since he was found as an extremely emaciated dog. It was just heartbreaking to see such a beautiful animal so sad and neglected. Firby has rebounded and is so very ready to be a beloved family member. He needs a family that has the time and energy to meet his frisky agenda. LOTS of long, fun-filled walkies and adventures are what this handsome canine needs. He so wants to be a good boy and he is ready for positive training classes. Please visit this amazing dog today- he is wonderful! Check out Firby's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPsPA9Mkj5s

If Bear fixes those beautiful brown eyes on you, you won't be able to walk away. Not only that but she's a gentle, sweetie pie. As a stray, lost and undernourished, she's had a rough time, but she found her way to us and wants to find a family. She's about a year old and ready for the good kind of adventures: playing with other dogs, exploring neighborhoods and smells, learning new skills, and curling up on blankets in a safe, warm home.

Story
male, approx. 2 years old, 40 lbs Personality: outgoing, playful, independent, goofy/funny, loyal, snuggler, rambunctious, energetic, and good running partner. Archer is a sweetheart who absolutely loves to play and go on long walks. The dog park is his favorite destination, and he is learning the joys of fetch! Once Archer has gotten his excited energy out, he happily settles into his crate and enjoys napping there or on the couch. Archer sees all humans as friends and is particularly excited when they come to greet him. After saying hello, all Archer wants to do is be near his friends - snuggling at your feet, on the couch, or in his crate if you are nearby. Archer has settled in well to city life and has learned all of the new sounds like sirens and honks. He appears to be house trained and crate trained. He also does well with the older resident dogs in his foster home. All in all, Archer is looking for an adopter who will take him on adventures and then let him curl up beside them. Could that be you? Apply today to meet Archer. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
Female, 2 years old, 50 lbs Personality: adventurous, energetic, affectionate, playful, outgoing, snuggler, independent, quiet, and good running partner. Hi everyone, I am Monica! Just like my namesake on "Friends, I try to be perfect in every way. I am super-friendly and greet humans and canines as old friends. I work hard at keeping my figure trim so if you are into running or power walks, we'd be great friends. When I have achieved my exercise goal, I love to spend time on the deck observing the world around me. And guess what? I am quiet, do well in the crate, and am good with kids too. I'm proud of the progress I'm making on house training (so is my foster human)! The icing on the cake is that I am extremely loving and will cuddle right up with you. I particularly enjoy resting my head on soft human laps. I am looking for my soul mate. Could you be my Chandler Bing or Rachel Greene? Let's meet and get some coffee. It may not be Central Perk, but I am sure it will be a great first encounter -- apply today to meet me! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application.
