** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day between 12pm-7pm. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. No time to come to the shelter? Meet me virtually during our open hours, note that wait time may vary for virtual meet and greets and we require same day pick up if you decide to adopt: https://waitwhile.com/locations/humanerescuealliance/r/welcome Firby is a social butterfly! And just a fantastic dog bursting with love and energy. He is just a joyful pooch who loves playing and seems to really like playing with other like-minded doggies. Firby has made so many gains since he was found as an extremely emaciated dog. It was just heartbreaking to see such a beautiful animal so sad and neglected. Firby has rebounded and is so very ready to be a beloved family member. He needs a family that has the time and energy to meet his frisky agenda. LOTS of long, fun-filled walkies and adventures are what this handsome canine needs. He so wants to be a good boy and he is ready for positive training classes. Please visit this amazing dog today- he is wonderful! Check out Firby's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPsPA9Mkj5s

Story
We have a special boy to introduce to the families and couples out there wanting a truly special older pup that is totally trained and waiting to love you to pieces. True Blue Toby is a 10 month old Boxer mix puppy that was found as a stray and not in the best shape.  In fact he looked terrible and we felt so bad for this boy to have suffered for so many months.  Once he came to our care we got to work on clearing up hair loss and getting him healthy from those pesky intestinal worms and putting good weight on him.  Gosh Toby is the best boy with a wonderful personality that embraces everyone with love and the anticipation to become steadfast friends.  Shy at first, this boy has blossomed and is Mr. Outgoing in every way.  He just wants to hang out with his humans and love them with full gratitude for making him such a healthy boy.  Housebroken, crate trained and wonderful with other dogs and cats, he is the truly total package if you are looking for a medium sized dog.  He is going to be a 50 pound adult and what a handsome Boxer mix boy he is turning in to.   Email us at Critter Cavalry Rescue :   ccrnewengland@gmail.com   We know will be glad you considered this boy as your very own. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 12, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
Sweet Rosie girl was found as a stray. The woman who found her tried desperately to find her owner but to no avail. We believe she was dumped, as it is very common here in the south. The woman brought her here to the rescue and she is doing extremely well with all the dogs and puppies and even like the cats and the children who visit. We believe she is approximately 5 months. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and she is also crate trained. She is full of energy and would do very well with a house full of kids! She appears to be a Boxer/Hound mix of some sort, pretty much a Super Mutt! Wouldn't you love to add her to your family? She will be ready for transport by the middle of May PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $500

Story
Male, 2-3 yrs old, 64 lbs Personality: goofy/funny, eager-to-please, adaptable, affectionate, outgoing, good running partner, energetic, smart, playful, snuggler, rambunctious, adventurous, and brave. Dusty is a big cuddle bug who loves people and is extremely curious about new places, people, and things. An overgrown lap dog, Dusty will also happily sit between your legs as you give him pets. Dusty loves to play tug of war or chase his favorite toys. He'll play fetch for as long as you are willing to throw! He has lived comfortably in a home with large and small dogs and tested well with cats at the shelter. An eager to please dog who has quickly adjusted to city life and apartment living, Dusty is also a fast learner. (It helps when you have his favorite treats on you - hot dogs and string cheese!) He already knows the words "sit, "leave, and "paw and is working on "1, 2, 3 for walks. His foster is working on crate training to make sure Dusty feels like the crate is a safe space. Dusty is energetic and is looking for someone to take him on long walks. He excels in eating his meals from enrichment puzzles, which help to calm his active brain! Once he's had his exercise and playtime, he happily curls up on the couch for a snooze. Because Dusty still thinks he's a puppy and is learning that jumping on new friends isn't the way to go, he would do best in a home without very young children. If Dusty sounds like the one for you, apply today! __________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Leptospirosis, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

Story
male, approx. 2 years old, 40 lbs Personality: outgoing, playful, independent, goofy/funny, loyal, snuggler, rambunctious, energetic, and good running partner. Archer is a sweetheart who absolutely loves to play and go on long walks. The dog park is his favorite destination, and he is learning the joys of fetch! Once Archer has gotten his excited energy out, he happily settles into his crate and enjoys napping there or on the couch. Archer sees all humans as friends and is particularly excited when they come to greet him. After saying hello, all Archer wants to do is be near his friends - snuggling at your feet, on the couch, or in his crate if you are nearby. Archer has settled in well to city life and has learned all of the new sounds like sirens and honks. He appears to be house trained and crate trained. He also does well with the older resident dogs in his foster home. All in all, Archer is looking for an adopter who will take him on adventures and then let him curl up beside them. Could that be you? Apply today to meet Archer. ________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. Story
Male, 11 mos old, ~55 lbs Personality: affectionate, adaptable, eager-to-please, loyal, energetic, snuggler, outgoing, goofy/funny, adventurous, and playful. Hi everyone! I am Munchie, your soon to be best buddy, ready to add some tail-wagging fun to your life! I am sure that we can be partners for some paw-fect adventures. I don't believe it's possible to be too large to be a lap dog. My heart is big, and I love giving cuddles to humans large and small. Plus I am told I have the softest fur on earth. There's no need to worry about being lonely when I'm around! Whether you're human or canine, adult or child, I'll be your friend if you'll let me. I am a real charmer with a zest for playing, particularly tug-of-war with dogs and "wrestling" with humans. On top of that, I'm well on the way to being house trained, and I do well in my crate. I'm a champ in the car, and I also know the words "sit", "out", and "no". While I self identify as a miniature Saint Bernard, behavioral analysis indicates a fair amount of muppet in my ancestral mix. Some say I am the consummate pesky little brother, looking to see what everyone else is doing and hoping I can come along. (I'm not above dramatic flops and facial expressions to make sure everyone understands me.) All that said, I am also good at playing with toys on my own. So, what do you say? Let's make some memories and fetch some fun together. I am looking forward to meeting you, so apply today! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application.
