We haven't seen Florence with cats or kids, but she can be tested!   Currently Living at:  Texas shelter; needs a forever home to escape!   Florence is Looking For:    Her forever family! As a young puppy, she landed in a shelter so far south in Texas, it's only 30 miles from the Mexican border - and the shelter routinely has 1200+ animals in its care. Despite having such an enormous number to care for, shelter staff do an amazing job with all their dogs and Florence is a great, loving dog and wonderful in playgroup with other dogs - she has been so well socialized with other dogs! Unfortunately, there is a massively skewed ratio of available homes to dogs in the area - so her only hope of getting a home is out of state. Her forever home! This sweetie has all that young-dog energy and is eager to get her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and lots of adventures. Making pup pals along the way is on her wish list too, along with getting to go to dog school so she can show how super smart is. But most of all, she just wants to be safe and loved, to know where she belongs - and upon whom to bestow all her adoring gazes, happy tail wags, and loyal companionship.   What My Foster Says About Me: There are also way more dogs in that shelter than there are available fosters in the DC area.
