Stella is looking for their forever home! WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Stella is one of the most low maintenance fosters I've ever had the pleasure of helping find a forever home. From being a shy, scared, and timid girl to being confident, secure, and well-mannered, Stella has grown so much in the 2+ years I've known her; although the vacuum cleaner is still enemy #1. Stella has lived in all types of settings: in a busy city, in an apartment, on a quiet street, with dogs, with reactive dogs, and easily adapted to her home environment. She is crate trained and LOVES having a bed in her crate to curl up into a donut while you're at work. She knows every basic command like sit, down, touch, stay and is fully potty trained. Stella's favorite toy is a lambie, or something else that is tiny that she can carry around in her mouth. Once, she took care of an egg for 6 hours before it broke, she's the most gentle creature. Stella is made of love and French fries. There's nothing more that she wants than to be inside with her people, cuddled up on the couch with a show, or playing sous chef in a calm kitchen. She takes awhile to warm up to her people, but with some french fires (her favorite is Burger King), some space, and a bit of patience, she'll love you unconditionally and will likely knock you over from wagging her tail and wiggling so hard with excitement every time she sees you. Although Stella is a perfect girl in the home, on leash, and with other dogs, she is scared of human strangers, especially masculine presenting people, and will need a strong advocate to help keep her safe. If you're looking for a great addition to your calm and cozy life with unconditional love to give, Stella is the gal for you. Stella would do best living with queer folks, a home without cis-gendered men, without cats, and without small children. Likes: Hikes, playing at the dog park, riding in the car, snuggling   Hi, Im Vela (rhymes with Shelia)! Im a super happy, playful girl who absolutely loves her people. Seriously, if you look up loyal in the dictionary, Ill be there. Well, okay, not actually. But I could be! Even though I have a certain love for my person, Im a friendly lady with other people too! I like to make friends on walks and at the park. I love to play with other dogs, and have a great time at daycare while my foster mom is working. Im also crate trained, and good about staying home alone if it isnt a daycare day. I love snacks and toys, and as queen of the house, I believe that I should have as many of both as I want! Im sure my future subjectser, family, will agree. Im a smart cookie, and Ive already learned a bunch of new tricks since coming to D.C. I know sit, stay, off, and leave it. Im also totally crate trained and potty trained. Id like to learn a lot more tricks with my new forever family, so get your treats ready! Everyone thought she’d find her forever home quickly—but somehow, three years have flown by at the shelter🥲 • Personality: Friendly, Easy-going, Affectionate Taeri is super friendly and easygoing—she quickly warms up to new people and loves being around humans! She’s very affectionate and loves cuddles. You’ll often find her lying on her back waiting for belly rubs🥰 Her energy level is moderate—playful but not hyper. • Affinity with -Cats: Not tested -Dogs: Taeri gets along well with other dogs at the shelter and adjusts easily to new friends. -Adults/Kids: Good with all people, including men! She hasn’t met kids yet, but we think she’d do fine with gentle, respectful children. • Shedding: 6 • Food Allergies/Appetite: No allergies found so far / She's a good eater. • Walking Manner: She’s great on walks and enjoys being outside! • Housetrained: She uses pee pads indoors and goes potty outside as well. Ozzy is truly the sweetest big baby on earth. He loves to be outdoors and play tug. He went through a 3 week boarding school at Premier Dog Training as a puppy (1 year) to help with minor food aggression. Since then he hasn’t had any serious issues with food and stops and waits on command. He does not see himself as a big dog but a tiny baby who loves to be held, cuddled and babied. He has minimal experience around other dogs and small children. We unfortunately just do not have the time to give him the love and attention he really deserves. Ozzy comes with a month supply of food and other care and grooming items we have for him.
