Story
COMING SOON: My pops is preparing for his heavenly journey and his last wish is for me to find a loving home. I've been living in the backyard with my Yorkie brother. We get along great! I'm submissive in play and know he's little. I'll need training in how to be an indoor dog. I'm very happy, goofy, and loving.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 3:47 pm

Story
Update 7.8.26 Hello MNBR Fans, my name is Zarek pronounced like Derek with a Z. I am fairly new to rescue. I have a foster brother and would love a home with a furry friend or a family who would take me to the dog park or doggy daycare because I have lots of energy. I am pretty good on a leash so I might make an awesome running/walking/hiking partner. My foster mom says it is like having a toddler in the house, as I am still learning what I can and cannot have, but I am a quick learner. I love to play tug-a-war and think everything is a tug toy. I also like playing fetch and know the release word is “mine.” I have a passion for water and would not mind a waterfront view!! I like helping out and supervising home renovation projects. I know how to work a hammer or at least I like to think that I do.  Can’t wait to introduce myself to you! Love Zarek❤️    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 3:47 pm

Story
Pupdate 8.22.26   Hey friends! Big news from yours truly: I am OFFICIALLY healed from my TPLO surgery and lump removal. The vet gave me the all-clear and I gave her a big sloppy kiss she did not ask for. Point is, I'm ready to find my forever family! Let me re-introduce myself. I'm half boxer, half lab, and 100% perfect. I know, I know - every dog says that. But I actually mean it. I got the boxer spirit and the lab love of food. Speaking of food - oh my gosh, FOOD. And WATER. I get excited about water like it's brand new every single time. Never gets old. I'm 7 years young and I love visitors. LOVE them. I will jump up to say "hi" because how else will you know I'm thrilled to see you? My knees had a whole surgical saga this spring but honestly that has not slowed down my greeting game one bit. I was recently cleared for playtime and running, which - let's be real - for me means one dramatic sprint across the yard and then a nap. I'm not a zoomies girl. I have dignity. I will, however, box with my foster brother because someone has to keep him humble. I also try to snuggle him on the bed but he's not into it. His loss! He eventually gets up and leaves and then I get the whole dog bed to myself. Honestly? Worked out great. Strategic cuddling. I will HAPPILY sleep with you or be your couch co-pilot. Walks? Love 'em. But fair warning, I've spent most of my years exercising in a yard so leash manners are... a work in progress. Let's call it "rustic charm." I'm housetrained and I will let you know when I need out by whining, barking, or doing a little hop in place. It's very cute. Sometimes I'm just asking for food though. You'll figure it out. I get crated when my foster mom leaves because I like to jump on furniture to window-watch and she worries about my knee. She said the surgery was "expensive" - I don't know what money is but she seemed stressed about it. I chill in my crate when she needs to go out and spend money (rude), and honestly? I'm often found lounging in it with the door wide open for no reason other than I simply love my tiny condo. It's called real estate, look it up. Look, I used to be a bit of a diva about sharing the spotlight with my foster brother. We had a whole reality TV rivalry going on. But we've since signed a peace treaty and things are totally chill now. I do, however, have some food aggression - so I eat in my crate like a fancy lady at her private dining table. My foster mom keeps an eye on us when we're chewing on bones too prevent any spicy side-eye action, even though we've never actually fought over toys or treats. We're dramatic, not dangerous. One last thing: I'm not always the best listener, especially outside. There are SMELLS out there and I must explore, people. My stubborn boxer side kicks in and suddenly I am simply not available for comment. But I'm worth it. I'm super loveable and happy.  Trust me.   2.12.26 PUPDATE (written by current foster) Millie is a 6 1/2 year old boxer lab mix with a full tail. She came from a family life and had lived indoors. She likes attention and neck scratches. She may have a torn ACL on her back right leg but has been using it a little with pain medication in place. She has a sweet personality and could be a great only dog. With our boxer, Ester, she likes following Ester’s lead but needed a couple of gentle reminders of her place in the pack. She does well with the commands sit and come when food is involved. . We have tried out a couple of different leashes on her and she stays close on yard walks. We haven’t tried any actual walks around the block due to her leg. She will need rehab for her leg withborc without surgery. We're waiting to hear back fromthe surgeon on her options. INTAKE 1.26.26 (written by previous owner) This is Miss Millie. A 6 1/2 year old Boxer, Lab mixed breed that was born on June 5, 2019. She is a very shy girl who takes a couple of visits to warm up to new people in places but she is super sweet and loves attention. She has always done well with other animals and children. Millie is not aggressive but tends to get very excited and a little jealous, letting you know vocally by crying and whining that she sees others getting the attention that she wants. She is also a bit protective over her food dish. Overall, Millie is a very good girl who just needs some extra love and care due to an injury of a major tendon in her back leg. She had always lived in a home with a fenced in yard so had not had much exposure to being on a leash or outside of her own territory, making her leash skills and listening to command skills not very good but she is super smart so could learn these skills easily. We just hope Millie finds the right home that can take care of her like she deserves.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 3:47 pm

Story
Chase is a sweet, loyal, and affectionate 7-year-old Boxer mix who loves cuddling, playing catch, and spending time with his people. He is great with children and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is especially bonded with Bruno and loves having another dog around. Chase is happiest when he is getting attention, playing, or relaxing with his family. Chase can be protective and vocal when someone comes to the door, especially when the doorbell rings, but quickly becomes friendly once he meets people. He can also get very excited around unfamiliar dogs and may pull and bark on walks. Chase would thrive in a loving home with plenty of attention and companionship, and ideally with Bruno so they can stay together.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 3:47 pm

Story
Pupdate9.12.26 Meet Loko (The Misnamed Legend) Don't let the name fool you—Loko is about as crazy as a warm cup of chamomile tea. At 5 years old, this sweet gentle boy is easily the chillest, lowest-drama roommate you’ll ever meet. He is crate trained, a dream on his leash, and 100% unbothered. Loko’s life philosophy is simple: go with the flow, hand out big leaning hugs, and embrace everyone he meets—whether that’s other dogs, cats, or the vet giving him a checkup (he's 100% unbothered by it all). If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, high-cuddle companion who trades barks for gentle snoozes and treats every day like a lazy Sunday, Loko is ready to warm up a spot right next to you on the couch! COMING SOON: Oh hey there, I'm basically the world's biggest, squishiest baby! Give me ALL the pets and attention—seriously, I will never say no! I'm a total goofball who loves bouncing around with my human, throwing my paws in the air like I just don't care! Crinkly foil toys? OBSESSED. Couch cuddles while binge-watching TV? Yes please! I'm super quiet (a gentleman, really) and I'll politely let you know when nature calls. Other pups? I'm SO down for playdates! I'm also a total softie around little human babies—gentle as can be. No rough stuff here—just shower me with love, toss me some good kibble, and I'm the happiest, wiggliest camper you ever did see!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 3:47 pm

NEW TO RESCUE 5.18.26 I'm a breeder release, whohoo! I'm looking for a family to run the yard with me, go on hikes and give me all the belly rubs. I haven't lived inside yet so I'll need training in how to be a house dog. I need leash walking training too.
