Story
Jax was my daughters dog. She was in an abusive relationship and has been placed in hiding for her safety. She has left me her dog and it’s been difficult with my own two smaller dogs. Jax weights about 65 lbs he’s solid muscle. He’s a lover, just requires a lot of attention. He is an obsessive licker. He’s not aggressive i just can’t give him what he deserves. Jax loves to play fetch, he also loves to take baths! He does sleep on his bed at night but likes to join his humans for early before work snuggles. He knows a “ few” commands such as sit, stay, leave it, lay down, quiet, high five. He’s crate trained and does very well in his kennel. He’s an aggressive chewer. Only thing I’ve noticed is he doesn’t like men at first which under the circumstances I can understand. Your adoption fee can be applied towards neutering him. Fully funded 100% to the vet of choice. He does come with an extra large kennel and food dish and some misc items.

Story
This is Kylo. He's a 1.5yo boxer/lab mix who I affectionately refer to as " cow". He has no aggression towards humans or pets and is totally fine being touched/handled or sharing food/toys. He's very smart and picks up commands quickly. Before he eats, he sits, waits, shakes, and will even make kissy sounds when you kiss his head until you give him permission to eat. He's very curious and wants to be around someone whenever possible. He'll probably wait on the bath mat while you shower or sit against the door if it's closed. He's house trained and will usually let you know if he needs to go out. His favorite activity is going to the dog park and being chased by other dogs. Once he's tired, he'll stand by the gate so he can go home and nap. Most of the time he's totally fine chilling on the couch, but if he gets the chance to play that's always what he'll prefer to do. He's pretty indifferent about pets or belly rubs, but always down for a game of tug or indoor fetch.

Story
Meet Rocky! He's the absolute friendliest, most loving boxer. He is good with kids and great with other dogs. He was found stray, but is such an affectionate and polite guy. He just loves to hang out with and love on his people. Rocky is about 2 years old and weighs 65 pounds. We noticed he was walking funny, so we had his hips x-rayed. It turns out he was likely hit by a car at some point because he has a crushed pelvis. There's nothing to be done surgically for it as it's already healed weird, but it doesn't impede him or hurt him at all. He loves running around and playing with friends! He just has a sashay when he walks, and will likely develop arthritis earlier due to it. Daily joint supplements are recommended by our vet. We're lowering his adoption fee to $200 in hopes that a special someone will love this boy, despite potential future limitations. Please share to help him find his forever!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or $200 for cats. Story
Meet Paisley Grace! She is about one year old and weighs about 36 pounds. She's raised a litter of puppies and now she's ready to enjoy her youth! She's great with most medium/large dogs and has a happy go lucky personality. She's well behaved in the home, and is doing great with potty training. She's smart and eager to learn. She can sit and shake for treats and will catch them if you toss them to her. She is definitely ready to be a part of a real family! She's not crazy about small dogs or cats, but enjoys playing with other medium and large dogs.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or $200 for cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fancy is a THE best behaved dog her foster person has ever had the privilege of hosting!! Fancy was returned to rescue through no fault of her own (divorce) and is ready to open her heart to her new family. She is a beautiful 2-year-old mixed breed female weighing ~75lbs. She gets so many compliments on her little button ears and striking eyes! She’s an easy going gal who is just as happy to spend the day snuggling on the couch as she is going out on adventures. She loves spending time with her people, whatever it is they are doing! Fancy likes all people of all ages, but she may accidentally knock over little ones due to her size. She gets along very well with the other dogs in the house and is happy to share toys, lounging spots, and treats. She’s often found in a cuddle puddle with her dog friends! Fancy would likely do best in a home with other dogs. Her current foster does not have cats. Fancy knows basic obedience cues like “sit” and “down”. She is fully housebroken; she alerts when she needs to go out, has never had an accident in the house, and knows what is and is not an appropriate dog toy. She gets excited and wiggly when it’s time to get her leash on. While she is a low-energy dog in the house, she is a strong lady and tends to pull and zig-zag on walks so be prepared for a puller while she learns leash manners. She has no problem with car rides. Fancy is so eager to please her people, she really just wants to be a good girl. Fancy would rather be with her people than anywhere else, but she does great in her kennel. She will go right into her kennel for meal time and to work on projects like kongs or bones while her foster people are at work for 8 hours a day. Fancy is a happy girl who is so enthusiastic about all life has to offer! She is such a sweetheart and is so easy to have around.  All she wants is a family she can love with her whole heart: could it be yours? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 3, 2023, 12:33 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxArriving 4/15/23 Bodie is a big boy who ended up in doggie jail due to no fault of his own. He is good with other dogs and friendly towards people. Bodie would do best in a home with a large yard or open space where he can run around and play. He would also thrive with a family who is willing to give him plenty of attention and love.  Bodie is a fast learner and treat motivated.  Does very well on walks and stays by your side. It seems he knows hand signals more than word but is fitting in and loves to be with other dogs.  He is kennel trained but as the foster we have yet to use a kennel and have had no problems.   Bodie would be ok with kids if school age but remember if it's on the floor it's his.  Bodie loves to lay with you on the couch and does great in his bed at night.     Please complete an application and lets get this boy in your home.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //
