Buster was found running down the road. We found out that he was adopted from a shelter, but the lady couldn't keep him, so she gave him away and apparently, they didn't want him either. He's a good boy just looking for his forever family. He is 5 months old and gets along with everyone. Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. When he first arrived, he wasn’t so sure about this whole “humans” thing — but now he trots over when you call his name, plops himself at your feet like a polite little gentleman, and waits patiently to be scooped up for snuggles. He is, in short, the world’s tiniest Southern gentleman trapped in a Minnesota puppy body. His two bold sisters boss him around like tiny tornadoes, but Beau takes it in stride. He’s a gentle soul who’d rather trot through a pile of leaves, find the perfect stick, and declare himself King of Autumn. If leaf piles were a sport, Beau would be the reigning champion, gold medalist, and undefeated title holder. He loves playing with his golden retriever foster sibling, enjoys gentle belly rubs, and is happy to curl up in your lap once his little adventurer heart is tired out. Poncho is a excitable, cuddly, playful, and curious pup who loves walks, playing with other dogs, and curling up at our feet at the end of the day. He has attended and passed a 4 week basic obedience course (sit,stay, drop, etc commands) and is crate and house potty trained. Unfortunately, our cat and dog have not bonded as we'd hoped and our cats aggressive response to Poncho make us worried about potential harm coming to either or both at some time. Poncho is still working on not greeting people by jumping up on them, so at least his time, he is not ideal for a family with young children. Poncho would be perfect for a home with no cats, no children, an ability to take him for a 20 min walk once a day, and willingness to cuddle up with him on the couch at the end of the day.

Meet this big-hearted, gentle soul 🐾 This handsome 80-pound pitbull is about 3 years old. He's a joyful, affectionate companion with a playful spirit and a deeply loving nature. Hes the kind of dog who greets you with happy tail wags, leans in for affection, and melts into you during cuddle time. Despite his size, he is incredibly gentle and not aggressive at all. He does wonderfully with other dogs, is completely potty trained, and thrives on routine and companionship. Hes intelligent, attentive, and proudly knows his basic commands. His loyalty is unwavering & once he bonds with you, hes your shadow and your biggest fan. Whether hes enjoying a walk, playing with toys, or stretching out beside you for a nap, he brings warmth and happiness wherever he goes. Hes looking for a forever home where he can give his whole heart and finally settle in with a family who will love him as much as he loves them.

Zoe and Rusty were stray dogs running on a highway near Raymond, MS. After owners were unable to be located they were placed up for adoption. Zoe is a very gentle and smart dog. She is very good on a leash and knows the sit and heel commands. Zoe and Rusty seem to be heavily bonded. They are both super sweet dogs. Zoe is more laid back, and Rusty is a typical lab - very playful!! Zoe and Rusty are in Mississippi, and the adoption fee includes transportation to you.
