Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.  **Amy is waiting for her person.**    Amy is the kind of dog who wants to be **close to you**—close enough to cuddle, close enough to sleep nearby, and close enough to know exactly where her people are… but not so close that she has to push you out of bed.    She has been learning and growing while in foster care, and we’re starting to see more of her sweet personality come out. She doesn’t chew on things she shouldn’t, and she’s **finally discovering how much fun toys can be!**    But Amy isn’t perfect—and she doesn’t need to be.   She’s still working on a few things:    Other dogs aren’t really her thing.  Unfamiliar noises can make her bark.  New people may get a few seconds of barking before she decides they’re okay.   And that last part? She’s already showing us that she can learn.   This weekend, Amy met my in-laws for the first time. She tried her best to sound scary for a few seconds… and then, just like that, they were friends.    Amy probably isn’t going to be your **brewery dog**. And that’s okay.   Because maybe she’s meant to be something even better:   **Your home dog. Your couch dog. Your bedtime cuddle buddy. Your shadow. Your happy greeting at the door. Your best furry friend.**    If you want a dog who is going to greet you with a **full-body wag every single time you come home**, Amy might just be your girl.   She has a few things to learn, but underneath those little barks is a dog who is learning to trust, learning to play, and learning what it feels like to be loved.   Now she just needs someone willing to love her **all the way home.**    **Could Amy be your BFF—Best Furry Friend?**              Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 13, 2026, 10:45 pm

Auburn is a sweet young adult Boxer mix who is the perfect blend of independent and affectionate. Want a dog who can happily do her own thing? Auburn’s got you covered. Want a 50-pound lap dog who thinks she belongs in your arms? She’s happy to oblige! Auburn is fully house trained and can comfortably go 6+ hours before needing a potty break. She’s also an absolute dream on leash—you can walk her with just one finger on the leash! Talk about easy! She’s a wonderful, low-maintenance companion for someone looking for a dog who fits easily into everyday life. Auburn would ideally be happiest as the only dog in the home, although she has done well with dogs smaller than her. Story
Our sweet girl is a 4-year-old pit bull who came to us from a family member who could no longer have dogs due to his wife’s allergies. We originally cared for her temporarily, but when he was unable to take her back, we chose to keep her rather than risk her being surrendered or euthanized. She has been deeply loved and cared for by us ever since. She is truly one of the sweetest, happiest dogs we’ve ever known. She loves people, car rides, walks, running and playing with other dogs, and being part of the family. She has a huge personality and a LOT of energy. She would thrive in an active home with someone who has the time and ability to give her plenty of exercise, structure, training, and attention. She can be leash reactive and sometimes bites her leash when overstimulated, and without enough exercise/training she can have accidents if not in her kennel. We are moving and, with our demanding work schedules and new home situation, we can no longer give her the life she deserves.

Story
Archie is a 9 year old pup who is an absolutely sweetheart with adult humans. She loves to play tug of war, cuddle, take naps, and go on walks. She was adopted 4 years ago by her current caretaker, who feels that she would do better in a home with more experienced pet parents. She is reactive with other animals and gets overexcited around children, and for that reason cannot have either living with her. While she is in need of an experienced hand on walks, at home she is very respectful and sweet. She does not bark or try to grab food, is potty trained, and loves the company of humans including strangers and guests. She currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota but can travel to anywhere in the U.S. to find her forever home. She has no major medical history aside from skin allergies and some dental work.
