Buster was found running down the road. We found out that he was adopted from a shelter, but the lady couldn't keep him, so she gave him away and apparently, they didn't want him either. He's a good boy just looking for his forever family. He is 5 months old and gets along with everyone. Stella is a beautiful girl. She is very affectionate and loves everyone. She loves to play and hug. We are working on teaching her not to jump. She just wants to be touching someone all the time. She is walking great on a leash and learning basic commands. She gets along with other dogs and would do well with an active family. Her adoption fee is $250 and is currently in Tennessee. Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We adopted Poncho a year ago from our local humane society shelter. We adopted a 10 year old cat shortly before then and had hoped that they'd be able to coexist and be companions in our home together. Poncho is a excitable, cuddly, playful, and curious pup who loves walks, playing with other dogs, and curling up at our feet at the end of the day. He has attended and passed a 4 week basic obedience course (sit,stay, drop, etc commands) and is crate and house potty trained. Unfortunately, our cat and dog have not bonded as we'd hoped and our cats aggressive response to Poncho and his large size make us worried about potential harm coming to either or both at some time. Due to his size and love of people (still working on jumping up on strangers) he is not ideal for a family with young children. Poncho would be perfect for a home with no cats, no children, an ability to take him for a 20 min walk once a day, and willingness to cuddle up with him on the couch at the end of the day.

Hobbes is a playful, intelligent, loving, young dog that is so easy to love. Hobbes is a medium energy dog, she loves to play but is able to relax and chill inside. Energetic play when outside, and loves to fetch and play tug of war. Hobbes loves to go for walks and runs, she enjoys being outside and chasing squirrels up trees. She is very playful and loves to play fetch, tug-a-war and tear stuffed toys apart. Hobbes would thrive in an active single-dog home, with older kids who can match her playful energy. A backyard to play in is highly recommended for Hobbes. Hobbes would do best as a single dog household. Hobbes is very intelligent and wants to be a good girl. She is house and crate trained and has excelled at learning basic and intermediate commands with minimal repetition. She has had issues with our existing dog, but that is mostly on our dog. Hobbes may have issues with other dogs. Hobbes is fantastic with people and has done great with children of all ages.

Meet Bojangles! This loving bully mix is just five months old and already the happy go lucky kind of dog that people dream of having. While adventuring and floating on the river are his favorite activities so far, this fella is also down for playing with other dogs. Despite his adventurous nature, Bojangles will also settle well in a crate and is totally up for snuggling with his person.
