Ginny

Boxer Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)

Female, Adult
Oakdale, MN
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ginny is a 3/4-year-old American Bully/Pit Mix (best guess). She is crate and potty trained, up to date on vaccinations, and very affectionate; she loves to cuddle and will throw her whole body into you just to get comfy! She should be the only pet in the home, as she doesn’t get along with other dogs or cats. A calm home with no small kids is best, since she can be a bit too enthusiastic with her affection. Ginny is energetic and would benefit from a fenced yard and some leash training (she pulls when excited). She’s currently on anxiety meds and needs allergy support, and we’re happy to provide a month or two of medication to help with her transition. She’s a sweet, loyal dog looking for someone who can give her the stability, care, and love she deserves. This easily the hardest thing we’ve ever had to do but feel it’s the best thing we can do for her to make sure she lives a happy life

COMING SOON TO RESCUE: I'm a snuggly, very hyper dude looking fur a yard to play fetch in with my owner. I get along with dogs, but I am resource guarder with toys and food with other dogs. I'm housetrained, crate trained and doggie door trained. I need leash training. I'm not a hugger but I like to snuggle in next to you in the couch.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 13, 2025, 11:43 am

Story
Updated 4.3.25   Daisy and Lilly are bonded sisters from the same litter. Daisy is the type A initiator, and Lilly is up for anything Daisy recommends. Daisy will groom Lilly and encourage her to go out and go potty. Without Daisy, Lilly would be prone to boredom and less engaged. Both girls are very comfortable with humans of all sizes and can't ever say no to cuddles. The two gals would do best with a human at home with them most of the day, however, their current foster is working 8 hour shifts and they manage well enough (Lilly does have an indoor accident here and there when home alone that long). Both are ok to be free roam in the home when alone without a human. Neither has chewed on items or gotten on the counters.    The girls' ideal home would have a big, fenced yard because both prefer to roam in a safe place vs go on walks on a leash. Their ideal home also has lots of humans (adults and kids) to give them attention often.    Their current foster thinks they are absolutely capable of learning a new routine, but if they have their way they get lots of cuddles, lots of back yard breaks, and lots of love.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 24, 2025, 1:06 pm

Story
Update 6.29.25 Introducing Rosie: A Loyal Companion Ready to Shine in Her Forever Home! Looking for an energetic and devoted companion who will bring joy and laughter to your home? Say hello to Rosie, a gorgeous 6-year-old Boxer with a heart of gold! Born in June of 2019, Rosie (officially Seerose Von Kaiserfelsen, but she prefers Rosie!) just celebrated her birthday and is ready to trade her past life for a future filled with squeaky toys, outdoor adventures, and all the love she deserves. Rosie is a former breeder dog who lived with a family for 18 months after her release and has now been thriving with her foster family for almost three months. While she was a wonderful mom, she's now ready to enjoy the single life! As she's grown more comfortable with her foster family over these past months, her true loving, playful personality has emerged. She's spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, so she's ready to settle right into her new home. This girl has revealed herself to be a fun-loving companion who adores her squeaky ball and has invented her own entertaining game of "blocking" her humans from walking around by playfully barking and pretending to nip at toes - she's quite the character! She's house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping soundly in her crate in her foster mom's bedroom each night. She's even discovered that the couch makes a pretty comfortable spot for relaxing! Rosie is a devoted companion who wants to be wherever her humans are - she especially loves "helping" with outdoor gardening tasks! She's proven to be an excellent travel buddy too, riding calmly and quietly in her crate during a recent road trip to Colorado. Now, let's be upfront: Rosie is a big, strong girl who still jumps up on people at times and can get quite enthusiastic in her play. Because of her size and exuberant personality, we think she would thrive best in a home with older children or adults who can handle her spirited nature. Rosie is a girl who appreciates her personal space, especially when it comes to certain prized possessions! She can be a bit of a resource guarder with food, toys, and when competing for human attention. We're working on this in her foster home, but it's something her future family should be aware of. Because of this, and because she hasn't gotten along with her foster brother, Rosie would be happiest as the only dog in the home. She just wants all the love and attention for herself! Rosie is also currently working on achieving her ideal figure, but with regular walks and active play sessions, she'll be strutting her stuff in no time! If you're looking for a loving, devoted companion who will fill your home with playful energy, loyal companionship, and endless entertainment, then Rosie might just be your perfect match! Come meet this sweet girl and see if you can resist her soulful eyes and spirited personality! To Summarize Rosie's Ideal Home: Adults or families with older children (teens and up) - no small children due to her size and jumping. A home where she can be the only dog. Someone who understands and can manage resource guarding. An active household that can appreciate her playful nature. Lots of love, squeaky toys, and couch cuddles!
