Betty is a petite, sassy, loving 8 year old boxer mix that LOVES her people. She is the kind of dog that will follow you from room to room as you go about your day. She'll lay at your feet but would definitely prefer to be on the couch.   We don't know much about Betty's history other than she likely had a rough go of things for a while. She was very skinny when she came into rescue and the fur on her haunches and belly was stained yellow. She is now living her best life in her foster home, getting all of the love and food she needs.   While Betty can coexist nicely with other dogs, her foster mama thinks she'd prefer to be an only dog as every now and then, she can get a little salty with the other dogs in her foster home. She also prefers to meet dogs on her terms only. She does do very well with dog-savvy cats and kids. She has been making notable progress with her potty training, especially when she's on a schedule. Betty does perfectly fine in her kennel at night and when her foster family is away from the home.   If you're looking for a chill adult dog that will only ever ask you for love (and treats), Betty is your girl. Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!   I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. Winnie is a 7 year old female boxer who we adopted when she was a puppy. She is energetic, playful, and a snuggler. She loves to be loved. She will do well in a home where there are no other pets or kids. She has no bite history but has made it known that she does not love being around kids and definitely not around other animals. She has lived with our other boxer and two young children but we feel she would thrive more in a home where she is the main priority. Although she is anxious, she does great on walks and can easily be left in the care of others if needed. She is overall a great dog who would match with someone who can pour into her and help get her energy out. We want her to receive the same amount of love she is able to give.

Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. We rescued Jasmine in October 2024, and she’s now 5 years old. She’s full of energy and absolutely loves playing tug-of-war, but she also has a sweet, affectionate side and enjoys cuddling just as much. Perseus is a bulldog/pittie mix who was born on March 4th. He is tan with darker highlights around his face and white markings on his nose and chest. Perseus has only ever known the good life as he was born in rescue to a doting mama, Peaches. He has spent all his days with his 4 brothers and 2 sisters in various puppy pens or humans' arms. Perseus is an easy-going little guy. He goes with the flow and is always happy to be scooped up into someone's arms. He also enjoys playing in the yard and exploring all of the bushes. Like any puppy his age, he is not potty trained and does not yet walk on a leash. But, if he's anything like his mama, he will grow into a sweet, affectionate adult dog.
