Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Goofy Goose and her sister, Pluto, found themselves unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs, people, and dog savvy cats . All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. Miss Goofy Goose is stilll very puppy like, has perfected the puppy dog eyes look and she is not afraid to use them to her benefit. She lives up to the Goofy and silly Goose names with her anitics, so it's a perfect combination for her name. She is great with kids, kennels well (will bark if she hears something), is respectful of cats and loves other dogs of all ages and sizes. If the dogs won't play with her at home, she will eventually give up and entertain herself. She looks to them for cues for what is appropriate and confidence. She has a good amount of curiosity and energy to burn, so a fenced yard is best for her, but not at a dog park as she doesn't always pick up on cues from dogs right away until she knows them better. which can land her in some trouble with the wrong dog and someone not paying attention. She has been working on potty training and doing great with frequent outings when people are home, she does great when kenneled during the day but the end of the day gets antsy and may vocalize to go out. She catches on quickly to new tricks, is eagar to please especially when treats are involved, and is an amazing snuggler. If you're looking for a pup with little personal space and who leans in close for those pets, she checks those boxes and is ready to show you all the love she has to fill your heart and home. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org. Story

**Amy is waiting for her person.** Amy is the kind of dog who wants to be **close to you**—close enough to cuddle, close enough to sleep nearby, and close enough to know exactly where her people are… but not so close that she has to push you out of bed. She has been learning and growing while in foster care, and we’re starting to see more of her sweet personality come out. She doesn’t chew on things she shouldn’t, and she’s **finally discovering how much fun toys can be!** But Amy isn’t perfect—and she doesn’t need to be. She’s still working on a few things: Other dogs aren’t really her thing. Unfamiliar noises can make her bark. New people may get a few seconds of barking before she decides they’re okay. And that last part? She’s already showing us that she can learn. This weekend, Amy met my in-laws for the first time. She tried her best to sound scary for a few seconds… and then, just like that, they were friends. Amy probably isn’t going to be your **brewery dog**. And that’s okay. Because maybe she’s meant to be something even better: **Your home dog. Your couch dog. Your bedtime cuddle buddy. Your shadow. Your happy greeting at the door. Your best furry friend.** If you want a dog who is going to greet you with a **full-body wag every single time you come home**, Amy might just be your girl. She has a few things to learn, but underneath those little barks is a dog who is learning to trust, learning to play, and learning what it feels like to be loved. Now she just needs someone willing to love her **all the way home.** **Could Amy be your BFF—Best Furry Friend?** Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $475.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 1, 2026, 3:42 pm

Story

Magdalena is not just any dog; she is a testament to the resilience and the unwavering spirit of a survivor. This beautiful 5-year-old Labrador mix has faced challenges that would have deterred many, yet her spirit remains unbroken and her heart full of love. Magdalena's journey has been a tough one. Due to a human-caused incident, she tragically lost one of her legs and, heartbreakingly, her puppies as well. Despite these hardships, Magdalena has shown incredible strength and determination to heal both physically and emotionally. The last picture was taken during her early healing stages, you can see her courageously taking each step forward, supported by her indomitable spirit. Today, Magdalena is fully healed and ready to embark on a new chapter of her life - one filled with love, compassion, and the security of a forever home. Her gentle demeanor and loving nature shine through every interaction. Magdalena adores human companionship and has a special affinity for belly rubs and leisurely walks. She is known for her playful antics and happy face. Magdalena's ideal home would be one where she is cherished as a member of the family and the only dog in the home. She does well with dogs her size or bigger but hasn't been around small dogs much and doesn't do well with smaller dogs. She has also never been around cats but given her reaction to small dogs, she probably would do best in a home without cats. She thrives on affection and is eager to return it tenfold. Whether it's snuggling on the couch or exploring the great outdoors, Magdalena is up for any adventure as long as she's by your side. If you're ready to open your heart to a dog who has overcome adversity with grace and love, Magdalena is waiting to meet you. Help us give this incredible survivor the happy ending she deserves - a forever home filled with kindness, warmth, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. Could you be the one to give Magdalena the loving home she's been waiting for? Reach out today to meet this special dog and discover the joy she can bring to your life.
