Welcome Tucker to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Tucker is a 1-year-old Pitbull dog. He was found as a stray on the construction site and a wonderful good Samaritan found him and is fostering him until he finds his forever home. His hair is super soft and his is gushy sweet. He warms up slow to new people and is very bonded and loyal to his human. He has an adorable underbite. He would be willing to wear outfits and hats if it is what his human wanted. He is great on leash and doesn’t pull and he is good in a car. He doesn’t shed and is a very very clean boy. He likes to keep his feet clean and really manages to stay out of any messes other dogs would normally get into. He is good in his crate and he is potty trained. He currently lives with other dogs but he is jealous of attention. His best home would really be where he can be the only dog and get all the snuggles from his family. I think a quieter home over the family that has a loud bustling group of people in it. He would be perfect for the single woman or man who would like a companion animal to walk, jog hike or cuddle with. He doesn’t need lots of exercise for happiness. He is an inside dog and loves to be in the house next to his person. He can stay in his crate while you work. He can also be trusted outside his crate. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. Welcome Rusty to CCPAL foster program. Rusty is a 10 month old Pit Bull mixed dog. He is friendly with all people, even strangers. He lives with a female Staffordshire and a miniature Schnauzer and he does great with both. He is trained to use a doggy door. He is good in a crate and other dogs. He loves men the most and in my opinion, would make a wonderful companion for a man. He automatically likes their leadership and responds well to direction. He knows sit and does not potty in the house. He weighs about 60 pounds and while he does pull on leash, he likes to go on walks. His ears were cropped when we got them. They don’t look like a vet cropped but them, it looks more like a home crop job done incorrectly. He knows sit and will do it when asked. He is rambunctious as are many puppies and will do well with older children. He is not a big shedder and a very clean boy. He will stay in foster care waiting for his adoption. He will be neutered soon, heartworm negative and getting his vaccinations. He would be great for an active companion wanting an active dog to go along. He would be great for a jogger, walker or runner. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs.     Meet Nils, a 3-month-old Lab mix puppy with a heart as big as his appetite! Weighing in at about 15 pounds, Nils is your classic happy-go-lucky pup—curious, playful, snuggly, and full of life. He’s currently working through all the typical puppy stages (yes, including teething), and he brings joy wherever he goes. Nils does have a condition called nystagmus, which causes his eyes to move rapidly and likely makes his vision a bit blurry, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He runs, plays, wrestles with his foster sister, and even pesters the cat like any healthy puppy would. He’s a bit shy when meeting new people or dogs at first but warms up quickly and just wants to make friends. Nils LOVES mealtime (he's a little piglet!) and is very food motivated, which will be great for training. He’s still working on his potty training but is doing well for his age—keeping his crate clean overnight and letting you know when he needs to go out. He’s also a big fan of chasing leaves, chewing on bones, and falling asleep in the car. While he's a bit independent, he always looks to his humans when he’s unsure and knows where his safe space is. Nils may not be the best at catching things due to his vision, but he’s more than capable of living a full, joyful life filled with play, snuggles, and those irresistible puppy kisses. Anyone who meets him falls head over heels, and it’s easy to see why—he’s just that sweet. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
