Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Clover is delightful, affectionate and funny. Clover's estimated DOB is 3/18/21.  When she wants attention she does the sideways forward walk.  She is always the first to greet me in the morning.    Clover is completely housetrained.  She does not like the dark so needs encouragement to go out that last time at night.  She is comfortable in the kennel.  We had her in the kennel at night and during the day when she first arrived, but now we allow her to free roam.     Clover is a real lover.  If we are working in the office she will come and lay on the floor to keep us company.  Once when our granddaughter came over she had a scrape.  Clover came over and sat in her lap while she was crying and gave her a couple of licks on the face to wipe away the tears.  The granddaughter felt much better very quickly.  One of Clover's favorite activities is getting a belly rub - she will lay there for quite awhile.    We have 2 large resident dogs and she plays well with them.  We do not have a cat so cannot say how she would do with one.  Given her prey drive for squirrels and bunnies when we go for a walk I am guessing it would be a no go for a cat.   Clover has been through a lot in her life and is now waiting for her forever home. She has been a mama, had multiple surgeries such as; tail amputations from her "happy tails," a surgery for an intestinal obstruction and surgery to repair her knee! She is fully healed from her most recent surgery and is ready to find a home. Would Clover make a great addition to your family?  Fill out the application and we can talk more.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Poe is an incredibly handsome, fun, happy boy. He is a really nice dog who found himself looking for a new home.Poe is a 4 year old boxer cross. He does well with other dogs of all sizes. He has done well with the cats in his foster home, but it was reported that he did not do well with them in his previous home. He is really sweet with the humans he meets and he has been a total gentleman to the 3 kids in his foster family (12,10,& 3). He is wonderful in the house and crates beautifully. Poe's ideal family is an active one that will include him in all the festivities. He loves to run with his foster dad and would make a great training buddy! He would also make a stellar obedience or agility companion. He has a great drive and good work ethic.Poe is going to bring such joy to his new family!Poe has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $300.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you would like to learn more about and meet this great boy!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Breeder release - puppy mill mamaUpdate on puppy mill momma Minnie. Minnie loves other dogs and enjoys the company of the resident foster boxer  Gramps.  Minnie enjoys the fenced in yard and runs in circles and jumps for joy.  Minnie so wants to play with the  foster mate but he is not interested in play time so she walks away and says ok be that way.  Minnie ignores the 2 cats and  shown to be a good house mate with cats.  Minnie will destroy soft toys but has shown little interest in hard toys or balls.  She has not touched shoes left on the floor or items left on the coffee table.  Minnie is very comfortable in the crate and tolerates the crate.  Minnie sleeps in a dog bed by foster moms bed and sleeps there thru the night.  She is not totally housetrained as there has been a few accidents, some of this is attributed to foster mom not paying attention to the need to go outside cues.     Minnie does not enjoy human contact, she is still very shy, reserved, and not trusting of humans. She feels the human world is going to hurt her and crouch's down out of fear.   Minnie has shown no signs of aggressive behavior.  She has no fear of household noises and is curious enough to check out when foster mom goes into other rooms of the house.  She is content to chill while foster mom is watching TV and playing games on the I Pad.  Minnie is doing really good on a lease and seems to enjoy walks.  Minnie stays by foster moms left leg with very few corrections on the weather permitting 3 mile walks.  Minnie barks at the turkeys and squirrels looking for food by the bird feeders.     Minnie is a sweet girl and will take more time to learn to live with humans and accept the human world.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2023, 2:06 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dora is doing so well. She’s settled in very nicely, and is finally giving the cats some space. Phew! She’s such a good girl. Very easy going and laid back. Unless she’s on a walk and another dog goes by…then she gets a little spicy towards Sadie, our other dog walking wiuth her. Nothing crazy, but good to know. She’s clearly feeling much better than when she first arrived. Her stomach seems pretty settled, thankfully. Her DM (degenerative myelopathy) is worst at nighttime when she’s tired. She needs a lot of help getting up to go out for the last time each night. But she’s ready to rock the next morning and runs down the stairs to start the new day!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2023, 2:06 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Breeder release - puppy mill mamaHi all! My name is Cinder sometimes CinderBinder! I'm learning all kinds of new stuff. Like did you know there is something called a dog bed! It's just for dogs. Blew my mind away....I'm learning that's it's a nice place to lay on. And also leashes! They keep me safe when out walking. I love going on walks & will walk nicely by your side. I sleep in a kennel. It makes me feel nice & safe. This whole having to 'think' about going potty is weird to me. When I have to go I go..... I do get brought to the same spot outside & will nicely go potty. I don't like to go 1 & 2 during the same trip though. It takes me 2 trips out. A girl needs to have her standards & the opportunity to do some more sniffing! I also have learned how to beg! Did you know that when you stare(politly) at someone who is eating they will give you some. Another mind blowing revaluation. Being touched/pet is still uncomfortable to me but I'm slowly getting comfortable with it. PS-Don't tell my humans that sometimes it feels so.....good! I would also like to have another dog in my forever home. I like to play & use my front paws. You do know I'm a Boxer right. I have met some kitties, they seem nice to me.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2023, 2:06 pm
