Story
Butter here. Little secret, if I was a human I would be called a "cougar." Seems I really like having youngish feline eye candy around. They make me giggle in my own cat way. I currently share my space with one or two adorable young adult boys. They show me respect. I allow them to amuse me. And foster mom has commented that in general, I seem happier than I was before they arrived. I have been hanging out with my foster mom for a few months. It took her a while to figure out the secret life of this cat (see the previous comment about being a "cougar"). Also, she has learned that when I approach, she needs to put her hand out for me to decide if I want to be pet or not. Spoiler: I usually do, but I would like you to start with my shoulders. Still figuring out laps and being held, but if you would like a sophisticated cat to help you manage a couple of young boy cats, you just need some Butter! Butter is about 11 years old, spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and is litter box trained. Adoption fee: $75 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Petunia is a very loving cat who had a rough start to life. She enjoys playing with toys and snuggling and has youthful energy and curiosity, while also enjoying a nice nap in a patch of sunlight. She is blossoming and thriving indoors and loves people. She’s a wonderful pet but would be happiest as your one and only. In turn, she has so much love to give. She’s a smart girl and learned to sit for treats too! Petunia would prefer to be the only cat in the family and can live with older kids. Petunia Market is around 1-3 years old and is spayed, FeLV negative, FIV positive, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Story
Rosie is a one-eyed, ear-tipped, tri-colored cat-toy chaser looking for her forever home. After living on the streets for many years, Rosie took quite kindly to the pleasant life of an indoor cat as she recuperated in our house after surviving a dog attack last October. She’s a curious and cuddly girl who loves to fall asleep on your lap, and her meows and mmmraps are so funny–she sounds like a croaking frog! Her super-fast reflexes and street smarts make her excellent at chasing after wand toys with little fluttering bird-like attachments. Rosie has been a constant source of joy and triumph as we’ve watched her open up to and even ask for love from us humans. Of course, as a reformed street cat, she does have her quirks! She enjoys getting pets, but she’s also particular about where she wants to be touched and for how long. She also needs to be queen of the house–she will not share a house with other cats or dogs! Rosie’s the perfect companion for anyone who wants a loving furry friend, who will respect her boundaries, and who will take the time and care needed to get her comfortable in a new and unfamiliar home. She is cuddly, curious, independent, lazy, and playful. Rosie Mountain is 7-8 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)

Story
Full disclosure: Bonnie the Beauty scores off the charts in sass. She is the ghost pepper of spiciness. The brings-tears-to-your-eyes at the Wing Bowl kind of spicy. When she arrived to her foster home, she spent the first week voicing her displeasure about everything. Except catnip - she is a sucker for catnip! It took a few weeks for her to settle in and now she rules the house. She is the best neighborhood watch anyone could ask for, and she truly is a beauty! Bonnie needs a home with someone who has the patience to let her call the shots. Someone who will give her the time she needs to claim her throne and makes things just to her liking. With a little time and love, we wouldn't be shocked to hear that her spice has leveled out and that she really needed was a home of her own where she could feel safe and loved. Bonnie is living with other cats now and as long as they don't bother her, she lets them be. She loves snack time and soft pillows. She would love a cat tree and a good scratching post. And buckets of catnip! Bonnie the Beauty is 4-5 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $0. One of volunteers loves Bonnie has decided to sponsor her adoption fee!

Not good with dogs, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Sweet Potato is a social and cool tabico cat who was found on the streets of West Philly. When she was first brought to Project MEOW, she had a rash that later spread throughout her entire body. Turns out, she's allergic to so many things (dust mites, fleas, EUCALYPTUS) and she requires a little bit of extra attention. After a few rounds of medication, she's doing so much better but can still flare up from time to time. Sweet Potato prefers to love from a distance - she'll follow you around from room to room but isn't much of a cuddler. She'll approach you when she wants a little love but prefers to act as a companion. She's not very vocal, happier expressing her needs through body language and long stares. She's super aware of her body - she's not the type to jump on counters or knock over objects. Still a young cat, her favorite toy is a wand, she can run around the home chasing it but is smart enough to understand that it's her human that's behind the toy. She's very independent, but likely best suited in a house without young children, as she's doesn't not appreciate being touched without her consent. Sweet Potato is about 3 years old and she is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Story
Waffles is a sweet, beautiful, affectionate girl who is learning to love being a house cat. While shy at first, she warms up quickly and has become increasingly more brave over the last few weeks in her foster home. She loves aggressively - she'll rub against your legs and quietly meow at you, begging for pets! Ever since she learned about couches and beds, she's been hooked; she loves to climb up and curl up next to you for pets. She's a silly girl who is incredibly toy and treat motivated. She wants to play and will make you laugh by rolling around on the floor and carrying her toys in her mouth. Her foster parents have a camera roll full of her antics already. Waffles is a great cat and would do well with someone who wants a companion who will always be down to hang out. She's a beautiful cat that will fit into someone's life very nicely! Waffles Willows is 2-3 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. She is Affectionate, Cuddly, Curious, Independent, Playful, and Quiet. Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)

Story
Meet Carleton, a majestic and impressively large cat with a heart as gentle as his rumbling purr. Carleton is the definition of a mellow soul—he approaches life with an easy-going demeanor and seeks out quiet comfort.   &#226&#128&#139He is a dedicated companion, but he expresses his devotion in the most wonderfully low-maintenance way. He is perfectly content to simply exist near you, whether that’s on the sofa beside you, or curled up on a blanket a few feet away. He offers his quiet company and soaks in gentle affection like head scratches and soft pets. &#226&#128&#139He truly doesn't ask for much—just a cozy spot, a kind heart, and someone who appreciates a big, gentle fuzzy friend.   &#226&#128&#139Home Preferences & Boundaries: &#226&#128&#139It's important for his new family to know that Carleton is not a fan of being picked up and carried around; he prefers to keep all four paws on the ground. A home that respects this boundary will be a perfect fit for him. &#226&#128&#139Kids: We believe Carleton can thrive in a home with gentle, respectful children who have been taught how to be kind to animals.  &#226&#128&#139Dogs: His interactions with dogs are currently unknown. &#226&#128&#139If you are looking for a calm, unwavering presence in your life—a large cat who will offer steady, quiet company without demanding the spotlight—Carleton is ready to offer his gentle soul to your home.     To submit an adoption application,  please utilize the link below. https://animalfriendsoflansdowne.org/adoption-application   Animal Friends of Lansdowne is a non-profit, all-volunteer community rescue, now in their twenty-first year.Animal Friends of Lansdowne Post Office Box 869 Lansdowne, PA 19050 (484) 463-1277 email: info@animalfriendsoflansdowne.org www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org        Please Follow AFL on Facebook and Instagram! Good with cats,
Story
Birdie (female tuxedo kitten) and Chief (her black brother) were abandoned outdoors in the cold with no food or water at the tender age of about 5 months. They were rescued on Super Bowl Sunday, and it was later discovered that poor Birdie was so starved that she was eating garbage and had consumed plastic bags, which messed up her digestive tract, requiring emergency surgery. She is absolutely fine now, and both siblings are spayed/neutered, tested negative, up to date on all their shots and vet care, and microchipped. They are very bonded and will need to stay together. Birdie and Chief are happy, playful kittens (born about September 2024). They are super friendly and are both foodies, as you might imagine given their history. They especially love their wet food. They are in foster with other cats and dogs. They’re a little leery of the dogs but get along well with all the cats in the home, especially Peanut Butter, another AFL foster kitten who is their chosen play buddy. They adore affection and attention from their humans. Don’t miss out on these champion kittens—get your application in today! Story
**Meet Essie: A Gentle Soul Ready for Love**   Essie is a sweet 6-year-old girl with a tender heart and a loving spirit. She has spent her entire life with one person who cherished her deeply, but when that beloved companion was suddenly taken away, Essie's world changed overnight. Despite the uncertainty and turmoil this has brought her, she has remained gentle and full of love, waiting for someone to help her heal.   At first, Essie may be a bit shy as she needs time to feel comfortable in new environments and around new people. However, once she senses safety, her affectionate nature truly shines. Essie adores pets and will tenderly nudge her face into your hand, asking for more cuddles—a heartfelt way of saying, “I trust you.”   Essie would thrive in a calm and stable home, ideally with no young children or other pets. She needs someone who understands her sensitive heart and is ready to offer the reassurance and love she deserves. In return, she will provide quiet companionship, warmth, and a lifelong bond filled with affection.   If you are looking for a gentle and loving companion who just wants to feel safe and adored, Essie is ready to start her new chapter with you. Open your heart to this sweet girl, and let the journey of love begin.   To learn more about Essie and other pets available for adoption, please visit www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org   To submit an adoption application, please utilize the link below. https://animalfriendsoflansdowne.org/adoption-application   Animal Friends of Lansdowne is a non-profit, all-volunteer community rescue, now in their twenty-first year.Animal Friends of Lansdowne Post Office Box 869 Lansdowne, PA 19050 (484) 463-1277 email: info@animalfriendsoflansdowne.org www.animalfriendsoflansdowne.org        Please Follow AFL on Facebook and Instagram!
