Story
Butter is a stunning young calico, barely one year old, who is looking for a very special person willing to earn her trust. She isn’t the type of cat who’s going to jump into your lap on day one. She is shy, cautious, and unsure of people. Butter will be a challenge, but one well worth it. The secret to Butter’s heart? Food. She is incredibly food motivated, and treats will be your greatest tool for building trust. Every snack, every quiet interaction, and every small victory will help her realize that people can be safe. Butter needs someone who understands that relationships with fearful cats are built over weeks and months—not days. She may never be the “instant cuddle bug,” but the moment she chooses to approach you on her own, accepts pets, or simply relaxes in your presence will feel like winning the lottery. She would thrive in a calm home with someone who appreciates the journey as much as the destination. She would also benefit from a cat friend, as her current cat family gives her confidence and companionship that ease her anxiety. If you’re looking for a cat who will immediately demand attention, Butter isn’t your girl. But if you’re looking for the incredible satisfaction of helping a timid cat blossom into the companion she was always meant to be, Butter just might be your perfect match. Some cats give their love freely. Butter will make you earn it—and when you do, it’ll be worth every bit of the wait.     How I came to Kittensnatchers: trapped at an established cat colony **If you are applying for a cat that needs a cat friend and you do not have another cat in the home or plan to adopt 2 cats, you application will not be processed** If you're interested in adopting this furrbaby, please fill out an application at https://forms.gle/2vMCSwUWQKVepqir5 All our animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
MEET ROSIE! Rosie is a senior Tabico who was brought to a local veterinary hospital for euthanasia because she began having litter box troubles after being re-homed by her original family. There are many reasons why a cat might be having little box issues such as stress (from big changes like moving), a treatable medical condition or infection, or something as simple as the litter box not being cleaned frequently enough, none of which require immediate euthanasia. The hospital staff instead asked if they could find safe placement for Rosie and she came to City of Elderly Love instead! Rosie has not had a single accident since having a chance to decompress in foster care and since having access to a clean litter box. When Rosie received a veterinary evaluation including labs. It was found that she had an active flea infestation and itchy, inflamed skin which likely wasn't helping. She’s since healed up nicely and received the medical all-clear for adoption! She’s looking and feeling like a new lady! Estimated to be 10-12 years old, Rosie is a sweet, low-key lady who is currently in foster care with other cats, dogs, and smaller kids. She took a little bit to come around but once comfortable, she loves to seek out attention and flop over for belly rubs. She’s happy to interact with the kids as long as they’re quiet and calm. She otherwise steers clear until they’re in bed so we think she’d love a quieter home. When all is calm, she loves to come down and play with the other cats and cuddle up on the couch with the (low-key) dogs. If you’re looking to add another chill member to your already chill crew, Rosie might be your girl! She’d also do just fine as your one and only. Rosie is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her? Story
I am moving back in with my parents upon graduating and I am looking for a new home for my very sweet cat, Critter. I found Critter when she was a young stray two years ago and she has been a wonderful cat since. What began as a temporary situation bloomed into what I thought could be her forever home, however, with a rowdy cat already at home, Critter's peace has been disturbed. When Critter is around hyper cats it causes stress to her body that affects her kidneys. Critter had a brief bout of UTI history, but has been healthy once separated from the other cat and fed an all wet food diet, including food specifically for cats with UTIs. Since I am to move back in with this other cat, I unfortunately must look for a new home for Critter. It is with a very heavy heart. Critter is the cuddliest, friendliest, sweetest cat. She is so easy to love and take care of. Please reach out with any further questions and please consider taking in my princess!

Story
Butter here. Little secret, if I was a human I would be called a "cougar." Seems I really like having youngish feline eye candy around. They make me giggle in my own cat way. I currently share my space with one or two adorable young adult boys. They show me respect. I allow them to amuse me. And foster mom has commented that in general, I seem happier than I was before they arrived. I have been hanging out with my foster mom for a few months. It took her a while to figure out the secret life of this cat (see the previous comment about being a "cougar"). Also, she has learned that when I approach, she needs to put her hand out for me to decide if I want to be pet or not. Spoiler: I usually do, but I would like you to start with my shoulders. Still figuring out laps and being held, but if you would like a sophisticated cat to help you manage a couple of young boy cats, you just need some Butter! Butter is about 11 years old, spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and is litter box trained. Adoption fee: $75 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Story
Full disclosure: Bonnie the Beauty scores off the charts in sass. She is the ghost pepper of spiciness. The brings-tears-to-your-eyes at the Wing Bowl kind of spicy. When she arrived to her foster home, she spent the first week voicing her displeasure about everything. Except catnip - she is a sucker for catnip! It took a few weeks for her to settle in and now she rules the house. She is the best neighborhood watch anyone could ask for, and she truly is a beauty! Bonnie needs a home with someone who has the patience to let her call the shots. Someone who will give her the time she needs to claim her throne and makes things just to her liking. With a little time and love, we wouldn't be shocked to hear that her spice has leveled out and that she really needed was a home of her own where she could feel safe and loved. Bonnie is living with other cats now and as long as they don't bother her, she lets them be. She loves snack time and soft pillows. She would love a cat tree and a good scratching post. And buckets of catnip! Bonnie the Beauty is 4-5 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. Adoption fee: $0. One of volunteers loves Bonnie has decided to sponsor her adoption fee!
