Story
Squirrel is a Spry, skittish but extreme loving cat. She is still very playful with toys as well. She usually hides at first but will come out after feeling comfortable and loves to get pets. She free feeds and does not over eat. But if the bowl gets to the bottom or empty she will let you know at any time of the day/night lol. In her old age she has become very picky about her kitty litter. She will pee in the litter no matter how used it is but she has started to not want to poop in it if its dirty. She will instead poop on the floor next to it.

Meet Leia - the sweet and snuggly companion you've been dreaming of! She just can't get enough of human company and adores nothing more than curling up on the sofa with you during movie night or while you're working hard. She's not shy about speaking up either; let her chirp away when she's hungry or feeling sassy! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Miss Amelia Earhart came to us after a friend called telling us a cat was left on the corner in a small carrier with a note from the "owner."  This poor girl has been petrified for months, yet we have finally gained her trust for the most part.  Miss Amelia is cat tolerant but would do best as a single pet in the household or a home where she could easily have her own space while adjusting.  She will need a patient and quiet home as her adjust may take some time and lots of patience.  She is chatty when she's ready for her yums and needs to gain a bit of weight, so we spoil her a bit when it comes to eating (plus it's a good bonding point)!   Check out Amelia Earhart photos and videos and our other fosters on Facebook and Instagram!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 7, 2024, 12:08 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.UPDATE: Through no fault of her own, Sylvia is back with us.  We don't rush to judgment regarding returns as it's impossible to know what's really going on and we appreciate returns over any alternative. Especially as her adopter recognized that Sylvia was stressed and unhappy in the situation.  Sylvia has clearly been stressed for some time and has over-groomed herself as a nervous habit.  We will supplement her diet with some vitamins and probiotics to help her on her way back to healthy! Sylvia will need a quiet and cat-savvy home.  She's okay with most cats, likes her head scritches and rubs.  Young children will likely be too stressful for her, but mature, quiet older children may work for her. ORIGINAL BIO:  Sylvia came from a hoarding situation, but her previous owner agreed to receiving help and has relinquished some of the cats - all of which seem well taken care of! Sylvia is a gorgeous long haired calico polydactyl!  Sylvia needs some time to adjust to her new surroundings and can be a little shy.  She loves head scratchies and high up hidey spots! *Sylvia is doing well interacting with Miley and Pierce Brosnan! She LOVES getting petsies and head scritches! She's a bit underweight at the moment but she's getting good yums to help her put some meat on her! **Feel free to check out our Facebook and Instagram pages for more pictures and videos of our fosters!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 7, 2024, 12:08 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Peggy Olsen came to us through a friend who'd been out walking her dog when they spotted Peggy  doing her best to hide in the park grass.  We went back with a trap and a carrier and found poor Miss Peggy in the same spot.  I do not recommend this, but I came from the side and scruffed her and put her in the carrier.  Peggy  was dumped by her owner, her family, her home that she likely never left.  Quick teaching moment: Cats do NOT fair well outside.  And more notably, indoor cats that are dumped by their family do NOT survive without rescue intervention. Peggy Olsen has overcome her fear of living in her new space and is ready for a home of her own.  She is cat and dog tolerant and perhaps even friendly with proper introductions.  Check out our Instagram and Facebook page for more pics of Peggy and our other Kittys!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 7, 2024, 12:08 am

Story
MEET ADA! This stunning 13 year old Calico is named Ada! Ada joined us from Philly's animal control shelter where she had been surrendered due to some ongoing health issues. Turns out, Ada was suffering from bladder stones which made her very uncomfortable and have frequent accidents. Since joining the rescue, she's received surgery to remove the stones and is feeling SO much better! This sweet girl is so deserving of a loving home in her golden years - consider adopting her! Ada is the total package: gentle, affectionate, and totally chill. She loves to cuddle up with her human buds and will purr her little heart out the entire time. This low-maintenance girl will gladly snooze on the couch waiting for you while you're at work. She'd be a great addition to just about any home looking for an easy-going cat. She is currently in foster care with other cats and after an appropriate introduction, seems comfortable sharing her space with them. When one of the other cats lets her know she's getting too close, she'll respectfully retreat and find something else to do. Ada has been fully vetted and since having bladder stone removal surgery, has not had any issues using the litter box. Her blood work has shown she's a very healthy girl!  Ada is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
