Story
MEET ROSIE! Rosie is a senior Tabico who was brought to a local veterinary hospital for euthanasia because she began having litter box troubles after being re-homed by her original family. There are many reasons why a cat might be having little box issues such as stress (from big changes like moving), a treatable medical condition or infection, or something as simple as the litter box not being cleaned frequently enough, none of which require immediate euthanasia. The hospital staff instead asked if they could find safe placement for Rosie and she came to City of Elderly Love instead! Rosie has not had a single accident since having a chance to decompress in foster care and since having access to a clean litter box. When Rosie received a veterinary evaluation including labs. It was found that she had an active flea infestation and itchy, inflamed skin which likely wasn't helping. She’s since healed up nicely and received the medical all-clear for adoption! She’s looking and feeling like a new lady! Estimated to be 10-12 years old, Rosie is a sweet, low-key lady who is currently in foster care with other cats, dogs, and smaller kids. She took a little bit to come around but once comfortable, she loves to seek out attention and flop over for belly rubs. She’s happy to interact with the kids as long as they’re quiet and calm. She otherwise steers clear until they’re in bed so we think she’d love a quieter home. When all is calm, she loves to come down and play with the other cats and cuddle up on the couch with the (low-key) dogs. If you’re looking to add another chill member to your already chill crew, Rosie might be your girl! She’d also do just fine as your one and only. Rosie is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative. Interested in adopting her? Story
This beautiful 4 yrs old calico girl is a gentle and timid soul who just needs a little patience to truly shine. She can be shy at first in new environments, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her loving personality comes out. When she trusts you, she enjoys getting soft rubs and attention especially when she’s in the mood for affection. She’s the kind of cat who loves peaceful moments and cozy spaces. Nap time is one of her favorite activities, and she’s great at finding the perfect comfy spot to relax. She also has a playful side and enjoys spending time playing with other cats, especially my boy cat and her son. Watching them play together is one of her favorite ways to stay active. One of her cutest habits is playing hide and seek. She loves tucking herself into little spaces and peeking out to see what going on around her.She would do best in a calm, loving home where someone understands that shy cats just need a little time to blossom, and with her son by her side.

Story
Meet Calimar — The Celestial Calico! Some cats simply enter your life... and some feel like they were sent from the stars. Meet Calimar, a beautiful 2-year-old calico girl who is ready to find the family she was always meant to have. With her gorgeous coloring, playful spirit, and heart full of love, Calimar is truly a little celestial treasure. Calimar is an energetic, happy girl who loves to play! Give her some toys and a cat tower, and she'll happily hop, climb, pounce, and entertain herself. But when playtime is over, she's just as ready to share her sweet and loving side with her people. She is fully vetted, spayed, and litter trained, so she's ready to leave her rescue days behind and begin her next chapter in a forever home. All this special girl needs now is someone to love her, play with her, and promise her that she's home for good. Story
Butter here. Little secret, if I was a human I would be called a "cougar." Seems I really like having youngish feline eye candy around. They make me giggle in my own cat way. I currently share my space with one or two adorable young adult boys. They show me respect. I allow them to amuse me. And foster mom has commented that in general, I seem happier than I was before they arrived. I have been hanging out with my foster mom for a few months. It took her a while to figure out the secret life of this cat (see the previous comment about being a "cougar"). Also, she has learned that when I approach, she needs to put her hand out for me to decide if I want to be pet or not. Spoiler: I usually do, but I would like you to start with my shoulders. Still figuring out laps and being held, but if you would like a sophisticated cat to help you manage a couple of young boy cats, you just need some Butter! Butter is about 11 years old, spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and is litter box trained. Adoption fee: $75 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Story
Sydnie Sweetie was a standout amongst her litter. She became accustomed quickly to home living and was exploring and asking for pets weeks ahead of her siblings. She seems to prefer doing her own thing over spending time with her siblings. Post surgery, she learned some bad words from the clinic and has been mouthing off. So, expect a sassy personality. She loves being the center of attention and has not yet grasped the concept of personal space, other than her own. She may or may not get along with other cats, depending on if she decides they annoy her or if they get more attention than her. Sydnie is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. It is Project MEOW's policy that kittens are either adopted with another cat or kitten, or go to a new family that already has a cat or kitten for companionship. Adoption fee: $125 (plus tax)
